Hello there Application Team Member, thanks for your time! Out-Of-Character Details Minecraft Account Name: Jobbut How old are you?:18 Time-Zone/Country of Residence:EST / East Coast USA Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?: Yes Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?: Previous Experience on the server through an old account, several years of traditional gaming and text-based roleplay. (I played an Orc for a while, then I believe I returned to play an elf before being one of the original Mori; then just quitting because playing one was such a nightmare, then joining the team that was making Legends of Aerlyth since I was fed up with the server’s garbage community and awful roleplay joined with a lack of updates; and wanted something more; unfortunatly soon after I left, the project dissapeared. Since then LotC seems to have improved. I sincerely hope, at least.) Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?: Yes. How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: I believe I saw it on a Top 100 Servers listing back when I played on a Factions PvP sever. Link any previous applications you have made to the Lord of the Craft: I can’t seem to find any (The old account’s name was RebornXVongola); so I’m going to assume the forums were scrubbed.) Have you posted this application on Minecraft Forum? If not, post it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/! : http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/page__st__1980#entry20375144 Definitions In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: The act of taking on an alternate identity and acting as you would with that identity within the roleplay environment. (IE: Acting in character, responding as your character would with their strengths, flaws, and personality to each situation.) In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: The use of information while operating in an identity that does not know such information. (IE: breaking into a bandit hideout because you heard outside the game they had loot there.) In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: /me stabs you in the neck killing you instantly In-Character Details Character Name:Jagabar Bladestead Character Race:Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Jagabar was the son of a fisherman and a tailor, he lived a peaceful life in the kingdom of men, his father often regaling him with tales of dashing rogues and pirates amongst the ocean, garnering a love of the sea and heroism in the boy, who himself grew to be a dashing young pickpocket with an bit of an ego, the world seeming like the setting for some tale he was the hero of. Eventually his father fell ill, and he returned to his home to take over his father’s fishing vessel to attempt to support his ailing father and loving mother; his eyes always looking to the horizon, as if knowing something more was waiting for him, some grand adventure just begging for him to conquer it. In due time Jagabar’s father did indeed pass away, and he soon came to know that the origin of the sickness that claimed his father was that of the undead, vile and sick creatures from the deepest pits of hell’s domain itself; so he trained night and day in sword and beguiling, honing himself to be the hero he thought himself to be before disaster struck far too early for the young lad to be of any importance. The Fall of Aegis claimed much from Jagabar, his mother, his home, his king; everything but the small sailing vessel which would be his salvation; giving him and several others to have a chance to escape to the new world, a realm known as ‘Asulon’. In the years since his escape from the clutches of Iblees along with so many others, Jagabar has matured greatly and developed into a dashing rouge finally worthy of stunning tales and records of his excellence; or so he’d like to think, roving from town to town after the loss of his ship soon after arrival; the harsh journey too much for the old vessel. The boy turned young man is a blank slate, ready now with an old sword and valiant spirit to explore the world and become something extraordinary. What are your characters ambitions?: -Become a hero worthy of a thousand tales! -Through a legend’s luck and a hero’s adventures, come to master many arts like in the tales of old, whether it be magic, tactics, or archery! -Gain riches and beautiful women, maybe a title or two among kings and dukes and a castle? -Sail the seas and become an idol of virtue or a baron of terror among the waves. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: http://i.imgur.com/xg2Gp.png Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Jagabar is mostly a blank slate, I’ll let his experiences shape him to determine what kind of person her becomes. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? A fellow in a new city, eh? I wonder what his story is? Or how he came to come to such a low and how he came to the city and why? What is he selling and might it aid me in the future, in some grand adventure of sorts; or maybe even that dwarf himself would come to aid me in the future. With pride in my step I stroll over, taking a long look at the dwarf’s goods, possibly picking up something useful and paying the man his due before continuing on with my business in the mighty city. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Well now? A quarrel amongst those two should be none of my business… though sticking around may prove interesting. I linger and watch from the road casually, not quite gawking, but standing within earshot to keep a tracking of the two’s escalating argument, should things go to violence as it seems it would, then an intervention might occur by my hand, a heroic deed to obviously be thanked by whomever was failing in their brawl. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: What a tragedy to befall the elderly fellow! Of course, being the gentleman I am, I help him up at once and gather his things, mostly the scattered coins, and then quickly aiding him in the acquisition of another stick to replace his gnarled walking staff; after all, I have many questions for the traveled man; I’m sure an aspiring adventurer such as myself would have much to learn from a veteran’s sage advice! EDIT: Ack! It appears I was automatically logged into my old forum account rather than the new one I'd thought I'd created; my apologies, I will remake the thread if need be.

Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: RebornXVongola Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: Though I wish I could have, I unfortunately did not. How old are you?: 16 Years old. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST Time-Zone; East Coast of the United States. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I believe I hold a rather knowledgeable grip on the English language and proper grammer. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Student, Located in the USA, pursuing a career in Digital Storytelling (A fancy way of saying: “Producing Digital Entertainment”). I currently live with family and have plenty of free time. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Anywhere from a few hours (1-3) on a poor week, to well over a dozen. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I’ve spent several years roleplaying in various settings, styles, and environments. Roleplaying is purposefully taking on the role of a character or other fictional element and “Acting” as they would through any medium, albeit a chat room, game, or tabletop. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming: The use of outside, or OOC information being used In-Character; this could range from taking news from a another source, or your character knowing things they should have no way of discovering. Powergaming: In an RP setting, the use of Metagaming or abusing of weakness/loopholes in a system to maximize character power of a character, almost always with a disregard for IC logic or the RP entirely. What do you expect this server will be like?: If it’s anything like it was before when I had adventured through the lands of Aegis, then it should be an amazing RP and MC experience. I have high hopes and expectations for LotC, and from what I can remember, there is no reason for them to be let down. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Protengi: The project crashed and burned, much to my despair; Was one of the most hopeful prospects for a server like LotC before, well, LotC. BloodBath: Salvaged version of Protengi’s work, eventually fell into Chaos and I left the server as it neared a foreseen end. LotC: I loved this server, and was forced to leave it do to complications with my previous PC; by the time I had obtained a new one I had fallen out of love with MC. Cecelia: Good Faction-PvP Server, but the RP was poor and uninteresting; if not ignored completetly, much to my disappointment. BattleCraft: Oh Lord, BattleCraft… I did not enjoy this server at all; and flew into a laughing fit as I saw we wereStill one place ahead of them on MineStatus. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have read and taken the time to understand the rules of the LotC for a second time now. How did you hear about us?: The first time? I remember searching the forums endlessly for an amazing RP, PvP, Factions Server. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I had attempted to when I was writing this application, but received an error when I tried to do so; but I will continue my attempts to vote for this server What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: RebornXVongola --------------------------------------- In-Character: Character Name: Jobbut Bladestead What is your Race?: Human Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): A young lad, was born of unnoticeable origin in a forgettable hut in a boring part of the wilds, His father, a man of no importance to the scheme of things, did as he thought all fathers should and beat his only son and drank heavily. His mother, an equally insignificant mortal, was a quiet woman who took her abuse and stayed in the kitchen until a cliché’ day that she took an unlikely step to the roads and was struck down by bandits. Her only son, only around 12 at the time, grieved over the loss of his dear mother; as did his father, whom blamed her death on his child and only let his beatings intensify as he drank more and more heavily. This child, a weak, frail boy poor of sword and scholarship let his hatred for his father fester and grow inside him, until his bottled emotions had become as black as night, and sharp enough to cut the ties that bind. In a sinister evening, the skies gone black with thunder and clouds, the fauna long since hidden away, and the wicked breeze acting as a violent gale; the old man grew particularly drunk and angry on his son’s 16th birthday. The boy had become fed up with his elder’s treatment, and struck back with ferocity and rage long since found in crazed animals and the upmost violent of madmen. This gaunt lad, malnourished and beaten, turned back the tide of the inebriated man’s beating, changing it into a desperate, heated brawl. However, during this encounter, a shadowy figured watched, a visitor of dark origin, and a being of more importance than either mortal could have recognized at the time. This almost unearthly creature gifted the boy with strength atop his determination, giving him the ability to channel his dark emotions into raw power, shaped into his might as he struck his father down with an old hunting blade. As the boy stand there, tears dripping from his cheeks, his voice and breath as ragged as his clothes, his hands bloodied and shaking; a sanguine vice around the old knife, the shadowy, hooded figure approached the boy from his hiding place. He congratulated him, applauding the carnal act of revenge and the prowess of battle shown under such circumstances. The boy, unafraid of this newcomer, and ready to face his death after sating his thirst for blood, conversed with the shadowy creature for a long while, until he had nearly collapsed from exhaustion. The dark figure offered the boy a hand, an almost skeletal, pale appendage as he made him an offer; to teach him how to grow more powerful, so he might never suffer again… …And the boy accepted this offer, beginning his apprenticeship to the shadowy figure; whom taught him of Battle, Of the World of Aegis itself, Of the Arcane and Dark, and of the history known to all… But the boy’s mystery master always led him to the idea of power. It was power they both sought from then on, the boy an eager learner, and the dark one an equally excited teacher. The boy learned many things, accepting the loss of his past, chance for normality, and even name in the pursuit of power under his dark master. “Morals are but the delusions of the weak, created by the powerful to control them.” “There is no good and evil, only those who are victorious” “Emotions are but trickery, a weakness to be taken advantage of by others.” “There is but a single truth in this world: Power” And it was with these four tenants that the boy followed for many years through his discipleship. It was until he had reached the age of 21 that his study under the dark one would end, a fateful day that his Master returned to him, under the spell of a grievous wound. While his master lay on his death bed, eh gave his student one final lesson, granting him freedom from his teachings and releasing him into the world with two final teachings, And the hooded robes he had always worn. The first, was that of his name, something that the dark one was given by his master, and of him, his master; and so on. This name, was Jobbut Bladestead. The second teaching was the final tenant of which there was to be learned: “Death… Is but the final Failure of the weak.” And so Jobbut Bladestead set off into Aegis, seeking Power… And maybe one day, an Aprentice of his own. At the time of his ventures in Aegis, He stands approximately 6’1, wearing his Master’s old armor and robes to not only conceal his identity and protect others, but to maintain the same illucid appearance of his master. His eyes are a shining Violet, strictly distinct from his fairly pale skin and primarily-black attire. Your characters ambitions: Obtain power, no matter the means or sacrifice necessary. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Jobbut would aid the Elf in combat, having already identified the other two as bandits, and being unlikely to trust them, Jobbut would strike them down. After gaining the Elf’s trust, he too would be slain and his cottage looted. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Jobbut would speak a clear accent, something along the lines of “I was curious as to whether you could supply me with a/an (~Insert Item to purchase~)” A screenshot of your skin: Other Information: -Firmly believes in the teachings of his nameless master - Is rather stoic and emotionless under most circumstances, but will still express gratitude, annoyance, and even hatred to some extent if provoked. -Tends to avoid revealing his identity. -Holds his Master’s blade on his back, refusing to use the enchanted blade; and instead pass it down to his apprentice as a heirloom of sorts. -Has no memory, or has repressed, his childhood; and any events from before his isolation and teachings. NOTE: It appears that i'm not only still on the whitelist... But it appears that my character is still there too! Unfortunatly, My application is no longer on the forums, and any personal knowledge of my character or their place in Aegis has been forgotten! I would honestly appreciate the abilty to re-register my character, if it would not be too much of a problem. Please ignore this thread, as I am resolving the conflict with a moderator.
