  1. For those who cry about being God awful at PVP, if you insist on playing a combat oriented character, yet you have a lackluster PVP ability, you should RP your character as being terrible at combat, accordingly. Not every situation you encounter will be PVP, some will still choose to do RP fighting, I'm sure.

Then where is the roleplay? Why should we have to be restricted because you want a quick fight? I'm not good at PVP and I don't have a good operating system which continues to anger me with each passing day, so I should obviously have to just kneel down and be killed when some bandit without a real reason other than not liking my character's race shows up? (Which has happened in many situations).

P.S To all that say those with bad computers lose? I counter you with this, my PC is probably the worse PC anyone could use. It at best gets 100 FPS, yet that is a rare occasion. I can still PvP and I still win most of my fights. Why? Not because I have a good PC, because I use tactics and technique.

Tactics don't really mean jack when the screen freezes every fifteen seconds. -_-

Among those of the crowd, Velik (Vel-Ick) stood as he listened to the words of his bloodline. His eyes only closing to take in a deep breath, knowing it was finally time. The masked elf had hidden amongst the trees for so long, avoiding nearly all as he wished to merely be alone, but now would be the day when all of that changed. He messed with his green sash from which hung tightly from around his waist before moving forward, raising a hand to push some gently aside so he could make his way to the front. He coughed a bit through the cloth which covered his face before finally speaking out loud enough for those around to hear as he reached his sibling.

"I will stand beside you, my noble brother, as we return ourselves to the ways of which we used to live. My only hope is that Malin will see our attempts for rekindling who we were and grant us his blessing."

And with that, the dark elf turned, staring at the group as if he also was waiting for others to appear. For so long he had hidden, he almost wondered if he had made the right choice in coming out so easily. He closed his eyes only for a few moments to ponder it before nodding to himself, opening them again to stare out with confidence in his decision that other family will emerge.

  4. Daylen blinked as he walked in to notice things seemed unusual. He wandered the rooms, looking about for his beloved to no avail. He notes the mess, starting to panic as he heads to the final room, the bedroom. He finds the baby, smiling a bit as he holds her in his arms, rocking her back and fourth. He walks back into the living room to see the more, curiously reading over it and trying to think of what it means.

  5. Dynasty walks by the note, stopping to see that another slave auction seems to go unpunished. He thinks for a moment before posting a little note of his own.

"Let us make a new deal. Release this slave as well as any others you have and keep your life. The other choice for you would be declining and finding it very difficult to live without your organs which will make for an excellent treat. Please choose wisely. - Straton"

Dynasty smiles at the note, walking off with a whistle as he goes to sharpen his goggles.

  6. Dynasty passes by the note, looking it over for a moment before changing his curious face to an expression of disgust. As he reads down though, he notices details about one of their members and can't help to think that she sounds like a relative of his lover, though he could not confirm without a potato or without checking her first. As he slowly walks away from the poster, Dyn Dyn thinks of how he will ask Ara his special question.

  7. Dynasty picks up one of the posters, merely staring at it before muttering some of his first words in months.

    "That is a terrible motto."

With that, he scribbles out the word "READ" and writes "Written" under it using a piece of coal before putting the poster back onto the wall. Afterwards, he turns to walk away, humming to himself.

  8. A young and spirited looking Halfling arrived at Lenfarthing. Sighing as he plopped down his very large backpack he took in the strange sights and wildly mixed scents of the town. This was obviously the right place and any description he had ever heard was not nearly as exaggerated as they sounded.

"I'm finally here.." he said with a very satisfied sigh. "You'd be proud to see this granma."

Dragging his belongings down the Pumpkin Path a few strangers pointed him to the Lumpy Pumpkin Inn. He entered the tavern and sat himself and his things down in front of a very welcoming fire. The inn keeper greeted him warmly and after some pleasantries and food, the young Halfling was scribbling away in a freshly made leather book.

((Hello! I recently returned to LOTC to check out 3.0 and the new things that came with. Some people may be aware that I RP'd here in Aegis and Asulon.  I wanted to return with a fresh start. Great grandson to the Rogen I rp'd back then. Couple of questions:

    1. Is it lore friendly that I RP a descendant of the same family I was apart of during Aegis AND Asulon? I assume families from those old worlds managed to make it here to Anthos. I don't want to RP something that is not legitimate.

Sure! Halflings, like practically every other race, traveled to the new islands. They're actually quite resilient and will probably dominate Anthos with their tiny shovels.

    2. As a donator we used to be able to get plots of land and as far as I can tell we no longer get that benefit. I was wondering what it would take to be able to build my own burrow and farm as long as it fits with the town. Essentially I want to recreate the burrow I had on Aegis/Asulon. Nothing too ridiculous of course and if need be it can be on the edge of town. If not a farm, then maybe a burrow near the river so that I can fish regularly and supply the town with a lot of food?

What I can advise is to seek out the Halflings homelands and talk about it there to them. I'm sure they will be more than happy to help!

    3. What is the social structure of Lenfarthing these days? Ive read some of the stickies but it seems like its still in a state of flux like it used to be. I want to be an active player for sure, however I don't want to spend a month just waiting on a burrow or for a single person to log in. We had that problem a lot back in the day.

The Halfling playerbase seems to actually be blooming, so you won't have to be sad in your little hole in the ground.

Hope to meet more of you all soon!))

I hope to meet you, even though I'm not playing a halfling~

  9. Sabastion Mauviette wakes up in the streets, hair messy and face needing cleaning. As he heads out to find a suitable place to bathe, he comes across the poster and stares at it. For the longest time, he just stares before finally extending his hand to take it. The person is unfamiliar to him as well as the treatment that she seems to endure, though he seems to care for some reason.

"A sign...? Is it... Supposed to be a sign I'm supposed to go back to this work?" He seems to say out loud, no louder than a whisper. He examines the details before folding the poster and walking around, trying to match up the picture with the surrounding houses.
