I'm a fun guy who likes to socialize and go out drinking and spends a lot of time with his girlfriend. My GF is very cool about my Minecraft playing (she's a tad geeky herself) and watches me play on occasion. I love the Elder Scrolls series and have dabbled in both D&D and World of Warcraft, so I guess you could call me a fantasy geek. I was the leader of an RP faction (roughly 25 members large) dubbed the followers of the Dirt Cube, on the Epsilon Zero server. My faction was known for being one of the most RP-provocative and enthusiastic on the server. In fact, there were times in which we had to cut off membership to our faction in order to let the other factions catch up in popularity. -What do you expect this server will be like?: Heavy RP. Heavy Lore. Heavy interaction with other players and teamwork. Aka, exactly what I am looking for in a server :) I am very impressed with your server (especially that you have your own Twitter and Wiki, and are sponsored) and cannot wait to see how it looks and feels in-game. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Deviant Evil 1 (3 Months): Started a small fortress settlement with 4 other builders. Made very efficient use of the land that we occupied by focusing on interior design; in the end our castle was no more than 20x20, with some small cottages surrounding it, but occupied over six builders, had its own huge mine system, and was 6 stories tall. This structure was later connected to a large-scale, industrial-age style "sky bridge" that led to a desert biome. Here an IRL friend and I build a large-scale sand-covered cobblestone pyramid, modeled to look more Aztec than Egyptian. Inside there was a sacrificial altar made with redstone, and a passage leading to an underground maze. This maze was very large and difficult, and built entirely out of hand-mined obsidian. The exit of the maze led to an upside-down pyramid structure, with an oasis inside of it. That server was eventually reset, which led to... Deviant Evil 2 (1 Month): Built by myself. Built a three-story house on the top of a mountain, with the third story being a "tree" made from green wool and tree trunks. The admin of that server quit, which led to other members founding... Epsilon Zero (4 Months): As mentioned above and in my whitelist application, I was the leader of an RP faction (roughly 25 members large) dubbed the followers of the Dirt Cube. My faction was known for being one of the most RP-provocative and enthusiastic on the server. In fact, there were times in which we had to cut off membership to our faction in order to let the other factions catch up in popularity. I was a founding member of the expansive Terra Bay region of the Dirt Cube territory, which eventually included three towns (each occupied by 6-10 builders): the Viking-themed Urdgard, the medieval European-themed Solstheim, and the capital trading city / fishing village of Terra Port. I supervised and assisted with the construction of all three of these towns and acted as the figurehead of the Dirt Cube in political interactions with the 3 other server factions, all while simultaneously working on my own personal project: The Lighthouse of the Holy Cube. This structure was the first thing that most builders saw when they sailed into Terra Bay. It was roughly 20x20 in base diameter and reached the building cap. Its shaft was a toggle of cobblestone and sandstone (all mined by hand) and its interior levels were completely detailed up to the third story (at the time of the server's end), with secret passageways and traps hidden leading to other regions of Terra Bay. The top was shaped to look like a four-pronged claw, with a giant glass cube (in honor of our prophet, the Dirt Cube) that was filled with lava and hovered above the tower. The admin of that server likewise quit, which led to a bunch of us joining... Ayrie (1.5 months): Founded a sub-faction of desert-dwellers known as the Dirt Cube tribe of the Khar (~10 players), and became the tribe's Head Chieftan. I soon became a moderator on the server, the first time I chose to do so, and used by abilities to create massive, lore-filled dungeons and RP encounters for players to explore. Two examples: Dr. Strangebloq's Tower Lair was designed as the abandoned home of a mad scientist. Inside his tower players found such humorous experiments as the Doctor's attempts to fish in lava, turn pigs into gold, convert sand into a viable fuel source, and grow obsidian trees. Players were guided through the encounter through journal entries left behind by the dear Doctor. The Doctor's journal entries eventually led players to the beach, where they found a map to track the Doctor's location. At that spot they found the Doctor's crashed ship and a shallow grave, which could be exhumed to reveal the treasure the Doctor had buried with him. The Fire Shrine to the Holy Dirt Cube that I built in my tribe's village was home to a secret underground path that led to a 26 x 26 block obsidian maze. Players needed to navigate the un-lit maze in the dark, with only 10 torches allowed for their group. The maze was filled with arrow traps and pitfalls, and contained the following series of signs: 1. "Feel your legs tremble, hear the zombies moan." 2. "You're lost and cold, and far from home." 3. "Soon your spirits shall swell with doubt." 4. (this sign was over stairs which led to a lava pit): "Go ahead, Take the easy way out." If players managed to make it through the maze alive they reached the Fire Temple of the Holy Cube, which was crafted (half by hand, half with worldedit) underground and housed several more challenges for those daring enough to brave its fiery depths: More sample work available upon request. Ayrie did not have proper administrative support, nor any plugins that defended the server against griefing. Pronounced Livid El-Boo-Ode) -What is your Race?: Human -Biography: Unbeknownst to my character, Liv'ed Elbuöd was a High Shaman of the Dirt Cube in a previous life. After being enlightened to the Cube’s teachings, he spent his entire life gathering followers and building monuments to the Holy Cube. After his land was destroyed by a cataclysmic disaster, the Dirt Cube religion began to die out, and all but vanished from the pages of history… Liv'ed Elbuöd was rebirthed in the Cloud Temple of Aegis as a human. Curious and naïve in this new land, Liv'ed introduces himself to and befriends many of the other humans (and perhaps an elf or two) that also were born in the Cloud Temple at that moment. Some of these adventurers split off, while others join Liv'ed, unbeknownst of their common lineage and how their paths will soon merge again. Liv'ed and the others begin having bizarre dreams.. They wake up in the night to find that they have scrawled strange symbols into floors of their homes: Not sure what to make of it all and fearing for his own sanity, Liv'ed begins to keep journal entries in his home to keep track of his strange visions and scribblings ((very excited about the Books feature, by the way)). From there, who knows? Will Liv'ed and the others become awakened to their true calling? Will the Dirt Cube rise again – either as a civilization or secret society?
