*You hear the excited chatter of the monks as you approach the temple, many are walking around with sheets of parchment, hammer and nails. Your curiosity gets the better of you, as you find yourself drifting towards the noticeboard, a crowd already gathering and noticeable excitement in the air.

The large parchment on the noticeboard, shows the first recorded painting of Asulon as the ships dropped their anchor upon completing their voyage from the Verge*

*Under the painting you see a short message written in fine grade ink*

"The records have shown us upon further inspection, that the anniversary of the people of Aegis first arriving to the fair shores of Asulon is now upon us. We monks have guided your people of all races, for many many long years and we wish celebrate such an occasion in unity as you did when you first arrived."

As voted for by the community there will be a week long celebration of "The Anniversary of the New World", this has two purposes, in rp it will be the anniversary date of the People of Aegis arriving in Asulon and ooc'ly it will be regarded as a time to celebrate the year anniversary of LotC itself!

I want to see festivals, balls, masquerades, events, race specific celebrations and even old drunks reminiscing about Aegis in a tavern or two!

If you are planing any events, make sure to make an rp post about it in the forums.

If you need some assistance in organising a festival, or market feel free to place a modreq or two and I am sure any available GM can help you via broadcasts and whatnot.

Last but not least I wasn't to say a word of thanks on your continued support over the past year, many things have changed, and there are many more to come, so thanks for sticking with us and making us the best RP server in minecraft!
