  1. Ye could build a way up

Fairly certain that would violate a rule. Even if it did not, it wouldn't really be keeping to roleplay, especially during a battle there. Also, it is probably a protected area, although I did not test it, where it would not be possible to place blocks to build up to it.

  2. I have extensively surveyed Striqaephoth and have concluded that there is no way (without cheating/hacking) to successfully launch an assault on this "city". It floats above the earth and the only way up would be to swim up the falling lava, which is not possible.

  3. You see, people lied about our recent attack on Snowy Fields. In fact, none survived, we made sure of that. And we sustained just one casualty to your entire city of casualties. A few tried to cower in the inn, those were the last to die. You have no idea of the power we possess, you have only seen but a fraction of what we can do. You wish us to conquer cities? So be it.

The attack must 'ave come after Ah 'ad returned tah the cathedral as Ah was not witness tah the destruction of Snowy Fields and the massacre of 'er people. Surely thar couldn't 'ave been many defenders thar by that time.

  4. Ah think per'aps that rather than being a Deathwalker, he was more likely purposely committing wrongful acts and shoutin' about Iblees tah come tah the attention of the Deathwalkers so as tah join them. He probably sees 'is execution as a martyrdom fer Iblees. These be evil times that are afoot.

  5. Ah suppose it possible that someone or a group kin assassinate the king, but 'avin' one of the assassins gain enough support tah 'old the throne would be a tad unrealistic. Our king is rather popular amongst the common folk, Ah don't think they'd support the reign of an assassin and usurper.

  6. I am pleased to see that the current forum moderators have quickly been ridding the forum of spam threads, two of which I saw posted within minutes of my signing on today and deleted moments later. As long as that level of moderation is maintained, we shall have an excellent forum for a long time to come.

  7. Real Name: Chad Stumph

    Ingame Name: chad_stumph

RP Name: Bishop_Sturdyfoot (also Oliver_Sturdyfoot when not in clerical role)

Time Zone: Central Standard Time (UTC -6)

How Long will you be online per week?

    Between 15 and 40 hours.

    Experience

I have been a forum user since the late 1990s. More recently, I have been a moderator of numerous forums, including the official forum of the United States government, the official Australian forum, the former official Thai forum, a private WoW server forum, and several others. In the Minecraft world, I am the owner and admin of the City of Islands server forum (defunct), admin of the IMPACT forum (current), and owner and admin of the Beacon Village forum (defunct). I am also an admin of several Catholic History forums.

As well as extensive forum experience, I am well-versed in wiki administration. I am the Development Administrator of the official United States government wiki, a moderator of the eRepublik wiki, and was a moderator of an old US State Department wiki during my time as a member of the Foreign Relations Advisory Committee. Thus, I am able to provide assistance with the wiki as needed.

Previous Forums: Most are stated above in the experience section. I frequent upwards of two dozen forums on a regular basis, but am currently an admin or moderator of only three. They would not interfere with any moderation duties on this forum.

Why I should be a FM: I can dedicate a large portion of my time to the forum and have the experience needed to maintain a well functioning forum. I realize that I have not been a member of the server for an extended period of time in general, but in the time I have been here, I have extensively studied all the material I could find about the server and its Lore. I enjoy mundane administrative tasks such as aiding other players and deleting spam. I also have an extensive background in education and writing, so my spelling and grammar should be impeccable.

Other Info: Unlike the average Minecraft player, I am not a teenager or college student. In the real world, I keep busy as a high school history teacher and coach, Unitarian minister, and part-time farmer. In my free time, when I am not playing Minecraft, I write journal articles about the history of the Catholic Church and the foreign relations of the United States during the Cold War, many of which have been published.

  8. Ah would 'ope yah'd find that Ah'm not rude nor grumpy. Thar 'ave been several visitors tah Dunwood the last few weeks and Ah always try tah make them welcome, invitin' them in fer a pint and chattin' with them. Some 'ave settled in the area, others 'ave kept goin' in thar travels. And anyone is welcome in the cathedral now that it is done.

  9. Funerary Notice

Friends and family of Biodoc Goodbody, late of Dunwood, funeral services for the deceased will be 'eld at St. Dan's Cathedral near Dunwood to 'onor 'is life. A short service by Bishop Stromgaul will be followed by an eulogy from one of Master Goodbody's close friends. After the service, mourners will 'ave the chance tah pay thar respects at 'is burial mound, then join 'is family at the Dunwood Ale 'ouse fer a pint in remembrance of the departed. Date and time are still being arranged.

  10. I don't want bishops and cathedrals in Dunwood! First they'll take away the ale, then they'll take away tobacco, and they might even try to take away the secret brothel under the lake!

    ....What?

Now Petyr, do yah really think Ah'd try tah take away yar ale and tobaccah? Really now, Ah am a 'alfling too yah know.

  11. St. Dan's Cathedral, the episcopal see of the Diocese of Dunwood, is now open fer services. The first service will be the funeral of our dearly departed brethren, Biodoc Goodbody. Ah will preach a small funerary then commit 'is body to rest in the new 'alfling cemetery next tah the cathedral.

The cathedral will serve the entire 'alfling community - the villages of Dunwood, Thistledown, and Greenshire. Ah will officiate thar during regular 'ours as the Bishop of Dunwood and visit the villages to provide spiritual guidance and confession as needed.

Donations tah the cathedral will be forwarded tah the Temple fer the resurrection of the clergy.

    -Orlin Stromgaul, Bishop of Dunwood

  12. Aye, per'aps we are too quick tah judge strangers, but thar be many villains, bandits, and general ne'erdowells in this world and we 'alflings don't 'ave much in the way of defences. Many of 'em who come tah visit also 'ave in mind a desire tah live 'ere, and tis easier tah deny 'em entry rather than waxing long about the reasons they can't.
