Out-Of-Character:
-Minecraft Account Name: zelthas
-How old are you?: I am 24 years of age.
-Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST, USA.
-Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I believe I do. I have been called a spelling/grammar 'Nazi' by many people over the years.
-Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I consider video games to be a hobby. I have worked for a living since graduating so I understand the value of hard work. I am easy to get along with(or so i have been told). Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
-How much time could you be on the server weekly?: As I do have a full-time job I cannot be on during standard business hours, however the night owl in me keeps me up way passed my bed time. So I would say(potentially) 5 hours/weekday, and weekends are always a mystery. Typically I am available though.
-How long have you played minecraft?: A couple of months now. After watching some interesting videos on YouTube, I felt it was time I gave it a shot and I have been hooked ever since.
-What do you know about roleplaying?: A good bit. My earliest RP situations were in AOL chatrooms back when 56k was the norm. I played Dungeons and Dragons for at least 10 years before Adulthood separated my group. I roleplayed briefly in World of Warcraft but I never found it to be satisfying.
-What do you expect this server will be like?: Better than any other RP experience I have been a part of. The work and dedication displayed has me convinced that I will find my time here to be worthwhile, and hopefully a place to come to every day when being the real me is tiring and repetitive.
-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: None worth mentioning, some PvP servers, Survival and Freebuilds. Except for MCShadowville I suppose. I checked it out hoping to find what I hope to find here, but I noticed most the players are childish and the obvious lacking of any RP.
-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Indeed I have. Following rules are something I take very seriously. Negligence in my world has consequences that no one wishes to experience. IE: Losing one's job.
-Name the 4 races on this server: Humans, Dwarves, Elves and Orcs.
-How did you hear about us?: Whilst searching for a server to play on, Google led me to Minecraftservers.net which has you listed at the top. I figured that must count for something, so here I am. (Even judging by the website and forums alone, you deserve to be at the top)
-Did you vote?: Yes, I did.
-What was your favourite Law?: You must keep/play in character.
-What was your least favourite Law?: None.
-What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Zelthas
In-Character:
-Character Name: Zelthas. Zel for short. Zelly for close friends and family.
-What is your Race?: Human.
-Biography: Zelthas was born an only child, into a working class family. He had dreams of being a honorable Knight, serving his Kingdom proudly, fighting in war, doing what was right - similar to his father. His mother Vyktoria, however, would have none of it. She wished him to serve the church in a more traditional fashion. His father Zelk worked as a Guard to the city in which they lived. It was a rough job but it was honorable enough and he had earned respect as being tough and reliable. Zelk told Zelthas many stories(some fantasy, some factual but never the gruesome truth) of chasing wrong-doers and keeping people out of trouble.
At age 12, the Captain of the Guard, along with Zelk's closest friend Luc(who was also in the Guard) had come to their home, with traumatizing news. Zelk had been murdered by a group of bandits. Vyktoria was wrought with grief, Zelthas was understandably confused and upset. At his father's funeral, the King made a personal appearance to thank Zelk for his dedication, and had a suit of armor crafted for him to be buried in. This was the most impressive suit of armor that Zelthas had ever seen; White plates, with red and gold trim. Like the kind he imagined a Paladin wearing in the stories he had been told.
Vyktoria had lost her faith in man and took her life later that year. Zelthas, now an orphan, was taken in by a Priestess named Orin(she had listened to many confessions from Zel's father), who taught him ways of right and wrong and that all shall be forgiven. Zelthas' feelings were different. "Why would simple bandits murder a respected member of the Guard?" he thought. Priestess Orin knew what Zelk had done, and encouraged Zelthas to follow his heart, saying, "I will help you in every way I can." Zelthas knew not what she meant at the time.
Distrusting of faith, Zelthas joined the Guard at age 18 with the intent on discovering the truth behind his father's death. By this time, Luc had become the Captain of the Guard. Luc's techniques were considered secretive, reckless and sometimes ruthless but he was very efficient. Zelthas had earned a reputation for being thorough and trustworthy, despite the fact that the other members did not accept him for his relation to his father. Zelthas had quickly realized all was not as his father had told him in his stories. Some members of the Guard were involved in shady dealings and he believed his father was on to them.
By the time Zelthas was 24, secretly working with Priestess Orin, he had accrued an impressive amount of information on a select group of people within the Guard, proving their corrupted ways were hidden by lies and fear.. but one fact had Zelthas most irate; Luc was at the head of it. His father's trusted friend had betrayed him in order to assume control of the Guard, what many believed Zelk would have achieved.
Zelthas was investigating a report of grave robbers, matching the description of the bandits that had murdered his father all those years ago. The report indicated that they had intruded upon the area Zelk was buried, thus Zelthas was ordered to steer clear of the investigation. Going against orders, Zelthas arrived at graveyard where he spotted some cloaked figures keeping watch. Zelthas managed to sneak around and knock one of them out cold when the other wasn't looking. When the other came over, before he could say anything Zelthas had struck him in the throat with his sword. As he fell to the ground, the hood had fallen back a bit, revealing his face. It was one of the corrupted guards.
At this point Zelthas realized there was no going back. It was time to act on his vengeance, and bring punishment to those who deserved it. When Zelthas arrived at his father's grave site, he was met by 3 more members of the Guard; Luc's most trusted lackeys. Zelthas, holding his bloodied sword, stood tall against the three, his body was shaking anxiously. The first guard opened with an insult about Zelthas' mother, which Zelthas replied with a swift slice across the chest, knocking the man down before he could even draw his sword. The second charged quickly, sword in hand, tripping on a rock as he approached allowing Zelthas to strike as he fell. The third drew his sword and began to walk forward, eyeing Zelthas with caution. Zelk had taught Zelthas how to handle a sword when he was young, he was rather talented in the footwork. His opponent was second to Luc so he had some skill as well. After some swordplay, Zelthas was knocked to the ground. As his enemy approached, Zelthas grabbed a handful of dirt before kicking out the legs of the man. Zelthas got up quickly and was about to strike but stopped when he heard clapping from behind him. Luc came from within the shadows, wearing the armor that was given to his father.
"You are rather persistent aren't you? And can't follow orders? Too much like your father." Luc said, mockingly. "And you," Luc looks to his lackey, "We'll talk about this once I take care of Zelthas here. Clean this up." Zelthas was
overcome with anger, but somehow kept his composure. "You will not get away with this Luc. I know what you've done, and I shall see to it that you pay." Luc's face displaying a smirk, "Is that so? Funny your father said the same thing. "This was it. The moment Zelthas had been waiting for for 12 years had finally come. Luc with his sword drawn, taunted Zelthas with his hands. As Zelthas began to charge, he was interrupted by the yells of many men and arrows falling nearby. The other members of the Guard had come out of the darkness around them, armed to the teeth, weapons pointed at both Luc and Zelthas.
"You just couldn't wait, could you Zel?" said Priestess Orin. "Oh, you know me." Zelthas replied jokingly. "All to well. We'll take it from-" But before Priestess Orin could continue, Luc, realizing he had lost, thrust his sword towards Zelthas. He countered immediately with the dirt he still held in his other hand, disorienting him, allowing Zelthas to disarm Luc and then thrust his sword into his chest. Then Zelthas froze. He knows what he did was wrong, he was told to take Luc alive.
Zelthas did not face any penalties for the killing of the Guards or Luc, in fact he was promoted to Captain, but Zelthas declined. He felt there was nothing left for him there, and his service could be used elsewhere. Wearing his father's repaired armor, Zelthas now walks the lands in thought: "Someone must rid the land of evil. I feel Luc and his men were just the beginning for me. Perhaps- this is my destiny."
-Character Age: 30-ish. I've never been able to decide on the right age as I always imagine him being middle-aged, been through a lot in a decent amount of time with much more to come.
-Character Appearance: 6'0 slender Male Human. You wouldn't think much of him physically but he can and will handle himself. Blonde short-cropped hair. Blue eyes giving a piercing look. Typically shaven face, but has sported a chin beard or goatee occasionally. Clad in white armor, with red and gold trim. Always armed with a sword on his waist.
-Character Personality: Thorough and trustworthy. Has proper manners. Honors those who are deserving of it, and attempts to right those who don't. Cautious of everyone, for trust is earned and not bought or deserved. Has been known to be impatient.
-Your ambitions: To rid the world of injustice. Vengeance has been my strength, and has made me come to understand how the world can be. To hopefully find a place to call home.
-Can your character read or write?: He can do both.
-Can your character mine?: He has been known to get his hands dirty when necessary.
-Are you a capable builder?: I lack a lot of creativity when it comes to this. My creations are typically simple and straight-forward; as in what is necessary to survive. However I believe I can make a decent tower, and I've had some ideas for castles, though I have not given them a try.
-Can you wield a sword?: Definitely. A Knight must be able to defend himself and his beliefs.
-Enjoy Farming?: Patience is a virtue that I cannot always display. Thus, I'd prefer to spend my time elsewhere.
-Does your character have any special skills?: He can whistle rather well. Not the fingers in your mouth kind.

-Other Information: I sincerely hope you consider my application. My bio may be a bit unpolished, for this is a character that I have never actually gotten to play, but have put a good amount of thought over the years without ever writing anything down. Been quite a while since I've worked on a bio.
