  1. In the dead of night, a wood elf stirs in his sleep being unsettled about the contents of his dream. His body moved as if he was running a marathon. He wasn't even covered in sheets and it was a cool night yet, his body flared in warmth with enough sweat to fill a swimming pool.

The elf sprung straight up, awaking and panting. He feels the cool night air rub against his burning skin as he looks out into the ebon of night. To him, it was strange. He was not some child that was new the world. He was well aged and rather seasoned. It was a strange dream. What could in entail?

He lays back, resting his head against a hastily made pillow and looked up at the never ending night sky. Whatever it was, it was waiting for him to dream once more. There is more to discover.

  2. What kind of event would you like to see?
I want an event where we discover some portal as the world slowly dies or something(idea is up for grabs). However, the portal we go through would bring us to an alternative timeline of Aegis. In this timeline, the races have died off or are simple just gone(To prevent an overlap) and what w're left is for the more part a pristine world that has ruins here and there.
Would you rather see the descendants pushed off our current land, or giving incentive to move themselves?
     Why not both?
If you want to be pushed off, how so? If you want incentive, what would that be?
Again, Why not a combination of both? Never has to be one or the other.
How should we travel to the next map (boat, portal, etc)?

    Portal.

If I buy, 5, 100$ packs which'll give me 12,100 points each x by 5 which = to 60,500 crowns to spend in game. Yet Aether VIP is only 55,000 crowns to purchase.

Do the people who purchased VIP's before this change and got grand fathered into this new system not get the left over crowns? As I should've recieved a leftover,  5,500 crowns which I did not.

which means you basically have another gold vip sitting around based on that amount left over.

  4. Interesting. This numbers kinda help suppose what I've thought of the races percentages as a whole.

Interesting numbers, however I'd like to see more.

Are there any records if these players lasted a week after their acceptance? If they're still active today?

I ask because the server will always have applications coming in, especially with exams ending and summer months starting. However trying to keep new players here has always been an issue for numerous reasons, whether it be social cliques, overly complex chat systems, permission blocking regions, etc.

An extremely recent example would be my own interaction with a brand new player two days ago. Even with bringing them into TS to try and explain things, it took hours. I'm still finding myself answering their questions days later. New players should have questions, but they should also have easily accessible answers.

So once again, Are there any records if these players lasted a week after their acceptance? Are they still active today?

More numbers please. I love looking at numbers.

  5. ((Even though this seems more like an OOC post, I am gonna write in OOC.

Anyhow, I firmly believe we don't need anymore playable races. Even if this just falls under "construct". This is something I didn't just decide recently but, over long course I've been here. Don't get me wrong, I think stuff like this is cool, having more races is cool however, I tend to consider our player base. Our player-base isn't large enough to support many many different playable races even though we have a decent size.

With that being said, I don't mind seeing lore for different beings that could be used as event characters but, only that.

    Just my two-cents.))

  6. I saw someone post that they joined back in Asulon and only recently made an introduction so, hence the topic.

So, without further ado, my introduction.

    Hello!

I honestly forget if I even did an introduction before many, many years ago. Well not that many as I only joined back in August 2011. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Despite that, I feel as if a new introduction is very much needed as many people don't even know me.

Currently, I go by ElfenLie(main account) in-game. I went through a short phase of name changes due to the ability of being able so and ended up sticking with my current username and do not plan to change it. Though, that doesn't cover my old username, Glylith, as many people from the past may remember. If not, do not fret, I'll explain.

I've never been one to be in the thick of it or the one to go out and meet everyone possible. My tendencies keep me role-playing with small groups of people(though can vary depending on character I am playing). That and I've been off and on about being here. Though, I don't fully leave when I'm "gone". I tend to lurk the forums, seeing what's up, what's new and latest drama.

However, despite my efforts to stay hip, it doesn't work out too well. This being, when I get back into game to RP, the people I RP'd with in pass have moved onto new characters or quit or something. Well, besides a few who, like me, keep around a character for a ridiculous amount of time(For me that's about 5years worth of a character).

Err, due to my ability of not being able to really thing fully unless an idea sparks or music fitting to what I am writing is playing, I'll leave it to you guys to ask me question and I'll answer them the best I can.

    (Bad memory ftw).

It's something that is most certainly useful, but we've been living without it for 5 years so as far as I can tell it is not crucial to the experience. Giving our VIP's the treatment they deserve for helping us keep the server alive is the only thing that will keep our server running.

Valid reason as I know you are looking to make sure you can replace some of the perks that will be gone due to the eula. It just sucks for those who can't donate. I really do like the idea of it, seems to easy to manage and can give your chat a clean up so it becomes easier to read(As during my long years here have been sometimes a struggle and keeping things straight especially in fast moving chats).

So I guess at least people who donated get this awesome perk as it beats having to go through hops or waiting for chat mods(Which some I tried are just painful to use).

  8. I personally feel as what we need need a medium size map. One that isn't too small or too large. Because when the map is too small, people feel like they're stepping on each other toes. However, having a giant map doesn't solve anything besides the fact there is tons of room to grow. Perhaps a bit too much. I don't like how in very large maps we usually have soo much open land that has no purpose really besides expansion. Sure, being able to have wilds is good but, not to a very very large amount. I also feel as if large maps are the reason why we have sooo many fast travels. I prefer walking the roads but, I'm pretty sure there is a lack of signs helping direct you.

Along with this is we have poorly manage land. It seems like all you have to do ask a nation leader(Probably Oren's because other nations are avoiding expansion too much) and bam! You got land that you will build on for a bit and maybe get some RP, however that all goes downhill leaving your town and many others inactive ghost towns. And with many settlements we have RP spread thin. Which honestly isn't all that of a good thing.

There is a good bit we need to ensue about the next maps to hopefully avoid most of the issues caused here.

Descriptive Description of what you want(Everything.):

I think the picture I provided will be enough in terms of what could/should be done(other than avoiding any extra, extra things that are often on pictures). So, I will be giving some idea of what I want in terms of hair. His hair is a bit on the long side(usually taken up most of the head except for the facial region for the most part). Beyond that, his hair has like a fox/pony tail. Only thing I can see being change here is maybe having it longer or perhaps let it down and allow a little bit onto his backside. My character also has a beard, which I think its time for it to grow a little bit(Not too much because he is an elf).

Here's an idea what of what he looks like right now: http://prntscr.com/aubv57

    Better idea for the beard/hair:

Alright, I get it, now why is it so bad to give people something to be incharge of?

I don't get it, is it breaking your heart when you see settlements spread across the faction?

To put simply, we do not have the needed player base to give out settlements like it's candy. We simply don't and that is a fact. We should try and consider ourselves are a whole. We're here to RP and that becomes incredibly difficult when people spread so far out in settlements that probably don't have a road to them or have some obscure way of getting there. Sure we got fast travels but, they ruin RP.

I`ve been here since September 2nd last year, I`m simply going on my current observations. I don`t know what previous maps looked like.

Aegis, the original map(granted is was just a MC generated map back in early beta of MC) started out condensed. Each capital was a short walk away from spawn and didn't take too long to go from one capital to another(again granted this was back when builds were pretty bad but good at the time I guess). However because of that, other people who "spread out" didn't go too far this area and there were roads to pretty much anywhere you went to(for the most part). I may seeing Aegis though a rose-tinted view but, I do believe that even though the RP then was a bit bad, there was plenty of it. There was war/pvp but, not incredible often. Raids didn't really exist as much(I don't think). Again probably seeing this through the magically view of nostalgia.

I'm just saying, we don't need extremely big maps so we all could have our own hut/village in the middle of no where because we want to feel special. I'm not calling for a small either because I know how much people hate walking around stepping on other people's toes. I'm saying what we need a medium sized map(whatever that could mean), with a few centralized hubs(For each main race; Human, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs. Other races will have to ask for some land or something and sub races will probably share a hub). From there we could branch out slowly and I mean slowly, none of this "I want land" then getting land because you determined that for some forsaken reason you're special and important. Only to waste said land and probably move else where.

I don't know. Centralizing= good. Not saying we got to put our capitals within throwing distance. But try to keep it centralize and slowly, allow some settlements to pop up over time. And have a system of where if the settlement gets to inactive- nature over takes it(Because nature does take over man-made structures in time and if we dont upkeep, we'd lose our structures).

Oh and get rid of the 90 million unneeded fast travels. Having a few? Sure. But the amount of fast travels is way too much.
