  1. I'm writing this to apologize to Mraal. Apparently, I broke the rules. I simply misunderstood them. I am sorry.
  2. I'm sad I got banned. Even worse, no gm has yet read my appeal...

Posting as a status on LOTC will evidentially show you are not responsible in waiting. Your time will come, do not bother GM's about this. Best of luck.

      Sorry, I'm just really nervous.

  3. Minecraft name: hunterkiller123 App: S'Vanta's App
  4. MC Username: HunterKiller123 Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): S'Vanta (Kinda hard to pronounce, but it actually is possible to do so) Character Skillset: In terms of combat, S'Vanta is skilled both with a bow and a sword. Outside of it, he has an incredible, savant quality skill with mathematics, and knows several ancient languages. Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): S'Vanta's birth was one-score and one years ago (21 years). He is a male Kha'Pantera and, since he suffers from anxiety in situations involving more than 20 people, he has gray streaks in his otherwise black hair. Personality: S'Vanta has a developemental disorder (one which we would call Asperger’s Syndrome) that has caused his brain to develop differently than that of others. His pre-frontal cortex, the area of the brain responsible for logic and reasoning, has nearly twice as many neurons as it normally has, and other parts of the brain associated with emotions and social processes are under-developed. As a result, he has an extremely logical thought process and processes information faster than his peers, as well as qualifying as a savant (intelligence classification above “genius.”) but has no instinctual understanding of social processes, meaning he needs to analyze someone’s face before he can tell what they’re feeling, instead of just glancing at them and thinking “happy” or “sad.” Another result of this disorder is over-sensitive hearing and light-perception, making being outside in the day time uncomfortable, as well as making loud noises physically painful for him. He also has migraines brought on rather easily by bright light or loud noise. His curiosity borders on obsessive, sometimes panicking and lashing out when information he desires is withheld form him. His view of the world does not allow for “partially correct” or “mostly correct” answers. To him, there is right, and there are varying shades of wrong. Please include a short bio of your character's life: S'Vanta was abandoned by his parents when he was very young, presumably because of the developmental disorder that has rendered him both socially inept and academically superior. He was found by an archaeologist named So'Tala, who took him in, since she could not have cubs of her own. He spent most of his waking hours aiding her in her research, the rest spent on his own studies or reading about discoveries made by others. Upon the first time he accompanied her to an archaelogical dig, when he was sixteen, he immediately decided he loved field work, as long as he had a hat to keep the sun from his eyes. Unfortunately, three years later, when he was nineteen, So’Tala was killed during a dig when a group of raiders attacked, and he barely escaped. He has since developed a profound hatred of bandits. After this event, he began training in the use of swords and bows, to better protect himself. A year later, another dig he was on was attacked by the same raiders, but this time, S’Vanta killed them, by virtue of his own skill and the fact that he had hired quite a few guards. He left the leader alive, but buried him up to his neck in sand and left him to die of thirst, in addition tying up his eyes to leave him in darkness for the short remainder of his life, to add to the pain. Character's ambitions: S'Vanta simply wants to further his own knowledge, as well as that of others, by discovering what was left behind by ancient civilizations. He studies any artifacts he can get his hands on to achieve this goal. _---Situational Rp Questions---_ 1. As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?: S'Vanta replies to the human: "Of course I'll provide you with food and water. What kind of person would I be if I didn't? Here, I'll show you to my tent." The human looks at him with gratitude, and follows S'Vanta to the tent. ] When they arrive, S'Vanta points to the tent and says, "You may take any food and other supplies that you wish." The human thanks him and walks into the tent - accompanied immediately after by a snap and a shrill, girlish scream. S'Vanta laughs, and walks in to see the human hanging upside down, held up only by his ankle. "Get me down!" he screams. S'Vanta smiles. "Of course. But first, I'm going to ask you some questions. You see, I'm somewhat curious as to how you apes live your day to day lives..." 2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak. "Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!" He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?: (Note: S’Vanta is bluffing. It doesn’t reveal that ‘till the end, and apparently last time the person who denied my application didn’t read to there, because one of his reasons was “using information my character couldn’t have.” He would in fact be able to guess that such a poison would exist, just wouldn’t know how to make it – he didn’t. Not trying to be condescending, I’m just a little worried I’ll get denied because of it…) S'Vanta stalked quietly over to the dwarf, who had turned to face the counter for a spell. "I would advise you," he says, glaring at the dwarf, "to cease insulting me." The dwarf jumps at S'Vanta's sudden proximity, but then he laughs. "Oi, what are ye gonna do if I don't?" he asks, mockingly. "Kill you." S'Vanta answers flatly. "It would be quite easy." The dwarf's eyes widen in shock, but then he smirks. "But if ye do, what's to stop these other people around from killing ye?" S'Vanta sighs. He turns, and reaches into his bag, pulling out a vial of black liquid. He says to the dwarf, "This vial contains a substance that turns into an invisible gas on contact with air. Normally, this gas would quickly kill everyone present, leaving no trace of its presence, but this particular vial has been tailored to dwarven physiolgy, and, seeing as you're the only dwarf here, only you would die. And I wouldn't even be suspected." The dwarf suddenly paled. "Fine," he said in a small voice. "I'll leave ye alone. Just please don't kill me." S'Vanta walked back to his seat, smiling, putting away the vial of ink he had used to threaten the dwarf. 3. One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response? S'Vanata pauses, then punches him in the face, knocking him over. "Are you an idiot?" he says. "Look, I have no choice but to turn you in. Maybe, if it was something more important than a PIECE OF CAKE, I wouldn't, but I have to." His friend looks stunned at S'Vanta's lack of compassion. S'Vanta, after a pause, recognizes the expression on his friend's face. He reassures him: "Look, I will do everything in my power to keep you from being sacrificed. Just make sure you look like you seriously regret what you did. Now, come with me." S'Vanta picks up his friend, and starts to take him to the nearest authority. Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? "I, S'Vanta, swear it." Please include a screenshot or 3D render of your character's skin Couldn't get the image posted in this, so it's attached.
  5. About the volcano: Though I haven't been accepted yet, I know some geology. Volcanoes usually don't have lava visible at the top. It cools rather quickly. Instead, they have semi-liquid, extremely hot gray rock.
  6. About question 2: Read the whole thing. No, he doesn't have a strain developed specifically for dwarves. He lied.

  9. Um, actually, do I get a free name change after changing race?
  10. This looks awesome. I'm actually thinking I'm gonna come back to LoTC for this (I stopped playing minecraft altogether about a year ago, just got back into it) Please, add me to the list.
  11. I hate traveling. I hate leaving Lorilen. I hate being outside. So what in the name of whatever gods may exist convinced me to travel to Al'Khazar in order to acquire some lumber? About halfway down the road, I was waylaid by bandits, who stole all my Minas. And my shirt. Why would they steal my shirt?! Then, to make matters worse, it started raining. And it continued raining. For the rest of the day. Then, when I finally reached Al'Khazar, I had to beg for minas until a kind stranger gave me some. Oh, and on top of that, the wood seller had moved to Lorilen. I. HATE. MY. LIFE.
  12. Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: HunterKiller123 -How old are you?: 17. -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: US Central -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am an extremely intelligent person, and a certain measure of arrogance results from this. I am also very eccentric, so people may be confused by my actions at times. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It depends. There are times when I may spend around fifteen hours on the server a week, and sometimes I only spend six or seven. Designing a game with one's father can be a serious toll on one's time. -How long have you played minecraft?: Since alpha. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I have been roleplaying on Warcraft 3 for years, and roleplaying, at least my perception of it, is when you act out a character in some sort of fantasy world and help shape an epic story with other roleplayers. -What do you expect this server will be like?: ...I really do not know. It sounds like it will be fun and interesting, but I am a realist and so while I do hope for a great experience, I do not EXPECT one. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on the Herocraft server for some time, as well as many others whose names I could not recall. I left them because everything started to feel the same after a while. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes, I have. -Name the 4 races on this server. Technically, there are six - the original Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs, along with the new Undead and Ascended. -How did you hear about us?: I saw a few youtube videos about this server, and it sounded interesting. -Did you vote?: Yes. -What was your favourite Law?: No racial discrimination or racist remarks. -What was your least favourite Law?: I actually like all the Laws -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? HunterKiller123 In-Character: -Character Name: Zae'Vahn -What is your Race?: Elf -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: HunterKiller123 -Biography: Zae'Vahn never knew who his parents were, as he was abandoned as a child. He grew up on the streets of the human city of Al'Khazar, doing whatever odd jobs he could to survive. A kind traveler taught him how to read and write. Ever since he has been obsessed with books and knowledge - and he doesn't much care if that knowledge is "forbidden." As soon as he became an adult, he started a bookshop where he both buys and sells knowledge in any form. When he was a child, he was constantly bullied by the other "street rats" for his perspective on what was important - they all talked about how they would join the military and someday save the kingdom, while Zae'Vahn always dreamed to be a librarian, historian, or teacher. This would be emotionally damaging to any child, and his method of coping was blaming the other children's idiocy and took to referring to them as "drooling mongrels" - an insult he often uses even now. Because of this, he holds no respect for those of lesser intelligence. -Character Age: 124 -Character Appearance: He is a dark elf, so he has almost-black skin and red eyes. Also, pure white hair and a scar across the back of his neck. His eyes are often red (the "spent too much time reading" kind) from long nights studying and translating ancient texts. -Character Personality: He is somewhat reclusive. He has no respect for those lacking in intelligence. He hates loud noise (sensitive hearing, loud noise - like someone screaming - is painful), sunlight (sensitive eyes, same principle as with noise), and being touched. He is also extremely arrogant. Zae'Vahn loves books - both historical and fictional. He is not usually "polite" - he doesn't consider most people worthy of the effort. He is also extremely cynical - he hates every race for different reasons: his fellow elves care too much about preserving nature, orcs see power in strength where he sees power in knowledge, dwarves are too greedy to realize what is really important: knowledge, and humans... well, they are all incompetent fools. While he is usually somewhat irritable, when faced with a new discovery he will become quite cheery. -Your ambitions: To collect most, if not all, of the world's recorded history. -Can your character read or write?: He can do both. -Can your character mine?: Yes. -Are you a capable builder? Yes. -Can you wield a sword?: He can, although he is not particularly adept at it. -Enjoy Farming?: No. It involves sunlight. He hates sunlight. -Does your character have any special skills?:] He is extremely intelligent. -A screenshot of your skin: <!-- m -->http://www.minecraftskinspro.com/previe ... tyonyx.png<!-- m --> (couldn't figure out how to send a screenshot) -Other Information:
