Sidreal is a scruffy lookign human. He travels town to town looking to raise the moral of the people he finds in these trying times. He has the look of a farmer with dirt stains on his ratty clothing simply acting as a way to reaffirm this impression. When he enters a city he finds a quiet but semi populated spot and sets out a very carefuly painted sign that reads: "I can not fight but I can farm, I can not heal but I can create, I can not shoot but I can sing. I seek to support those who do what I can not and so I sing for them. I'll not turn a donation away as I have no work but they are not requested nor required. My reward is I may make your day better. Thank you for listening." Next to the sign he sets out a small wooden bowl and a drum. He begins to sing in his strong tenor voice accompanied by the rythmic thumping of his instument. The song starts quietly but grows in strength as he sings it. His passion and belief in each verse evident in the motions he makes while he sings. "<chorus> Strike the drum for Oren, and once for Malinor. Strike the drum for Krugamar and Kal'Urgan and more! Strike the drum for every man who's ever bent a bow. Strike the drum for every man and soldier striken low. </chorus> Yew is the strong right arm of every Elvish king. Flax is the harp string that makes the bow to sing. Grey goose is the feather that makes the foe to fly. Ash and iron the talon that makes the foe to die. <chorus> Now at Kal'Urgan the dead Came charging up the hill. We killed them as they came Till they had had their fill. With ascended help we did darken out the sky. We taught them, but the only thing They learned was they learned how to die. <Chorus> Now in Snowy Fields we faced the boys All about the town We beat them fair and square but The undead rode us down. In Krugamar we fought in sand Up to horses' knees and The undead paid the butcher's bill not the orcish breed. Chorus Now a yeoman's life is hard as hell On this we can agree. The world cares not a jot for The likes of you and me. The undead and the fallen They keep us down and low. But they tremble in their stirrups when An archer bends his bow. Chorus Strike the drum for Oren, And once for Malinor! Strike the drum for Krugamar, And Kal'Urgan, and more! Strike for every parents child who's gone off now to war! Strike for every parents child who can sing no more..." Sidreal smiles shyly at those who listened thanking them for their time and retrives his things to travel to the next town to honor those who do what he can not. ((I didn't really know where else to post this so please forgive me if it's in the wrong spot. I can be reached under the minecraft handle smokintek if you would like to contact me. The tune before I adapted it can be found at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJoRskcHpKs. Also please forgive the html tags, I use them to shorten this post and are obviously entierly OOC for ease of reading. As a final copywrite note I DID NOT write the original song I simply filked it all rythm and many lyric credits I pass to them.))

Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: Smokintek -How old are you?: 33 -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Mountain Standard (-07:00), Canada -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I like to think I do, however my spelling is hit and miss sometimes and I have no idea which witch is which. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm currently working on getting an applied degree in computer programming. I already have several certifications in it and getting a bachelors seems like a good step. When I'm done I'm hoping to get a job in the games industry. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: As I'm in school it's tough to say but generally I play minecraft 10-15 hours per week at minimum. MUCH more if i can get away with it. -How long have you played minecraft?: Since beta 1.2 -What do you know about roleplaying?: I have been playing RPG's since I was 8. Some of my favorite memories have nothing to do with combat just taking on the persona of my character and watching the interactions with the other players. -What do you expect this server will be like?: I make it a point in my life to never set expectations when I'm not sure who is involved. I will say if the trailer and the lore pages are any indication I'm hoping to have a heck of a good time. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on Super-earth for a bit. I left because of stability issues and by the time they had sorted them out I had little interest in returning and dealing with a few of the personalities. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I read them, though the kingdom laws vs. server laws is a little odd for me mentally I love the whole concept of varied legal structures within the kingdoms. And yes I agree to them. -Name the 4 races on this server: Human, Dwarf, Elf, and Orc. From reading the various posts and such there are apparently subraces as well. How did you hear about us?: a google search for top minecraft servers (you were rated #10 and the only RP one I could see) -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Sidreal In-Character: -Character Name: Sidreal -What is your Race?: Human -Biography: Sidreal, "Sid" to his friends, is the son of farmers. His parents dreamed of something better for him than that afforded to the poor peasant family and so they scrimped and saved and traded everything they could to try and get him something resembling and education. They enrolled him in the best school they could afford, a boarding house for tradesmen. Sid HATED it, there was no challenge there. His mind was sharp and, as one of his tutors noted, had traits similar to those of a deep water sponge. Given it was a trade school he had difficulty learning the one thing he truly wanted. To read. In the end he taught himself to read under the guise of religious study of the cloud temple. After that he devoured every book he could get his hands on with a special fondness for books on religion and philosophy. Life was sweet... then with little more than a pat on the head he was summarily ejected from the school. The funds had run out and his parents had passed away a few years prior and he found himself with minimal employable skills, beyond the basics of farming and refining, on the streets of Oren and so life taught him his first harsh lesson. That of self-reliance. -Character Age: 23 -Character Appearance: 5'9" with the typically stocky farmers build. He usually dresses in simple peasant clothes with a generally well worn (read scruffy) appearance. -Character Personality: Sid seems a quiet sort at first... at least until he feel comfortable with someone. Then the formal patterns leave his speech and he will happily talk someones ear off if he gets the chance. -Your ambitions: While Sids "dream" is to have a farm like his parents his more immediate goal is to find some gainful employment and a place to stay where the muggers can't find him. -Can your character read or write?: Yes to both. -Can your character mine?: Hasn't done it but knows the theory. -Are you a capable builder?: Not particularly. -Can you wield a sword?: Can't wield a sword worth beans but Sid is a decent enough bowman. -Enjoy Farming?: Enjoy isn't the right word for it. But there is something satisfying about providing for many even if getting there is a dull process. -Does your character have any special skills?: While he does not realize it he has a good head for physics and engineering. -A screenshot of your skin: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/198/20110915225512.png/ -Other Information: I'm not a great builder but I have a decent head and knack for piston physics and redstone. I'm really looking forward to having some fun with everyone and looking forward to hearing about my whether I make the cut or not. Change Log *edited for spelling *minor Bio editing *edited punctuation *re-posted. I reread the application guidelines looking for a time (it had been close to a full day) and realized my over excited bump had breeched the rules so reposted to start the wait again. Serves me right.
