This is my application for Althalos, a human. Keep in mind I have already been accepted to this server, but my old orc Vorshnak died during the battle against the undead for Aegis. Alternate Account Application Main Account MC Name: NinjaKreeper Alternate Account MC Name: Vroshnak (My old orc character from Aegis) In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Power gaming are. Metagaming is very common in new role-players. They look at the text above someone’s head and say, hello Althalos how are you today, without even seeing the person before in their whole entire in character life. Metagaming is using information out of character information in character to your social or physical (such as power gaming) Advantage. Power gaming is also very common in new role players, especially immature ones who act like 3 year olds. Go back to the time when you were a child, and you were playing with your hands as if they were guns when you were waiting in line for lunch. Your friend would say, bam! I shot you. While you would say, no I had a forcefield I didn’t die, now I shot you and your dead. Your friend once again says, I have a shield which reflects bullets and it just penetrated your force field HAH your dead now. This is an example of power gaming (In real life terms). Power gaming is most common in sore losers who do not want to lose their stuff in Minecraft, or their dignity of loss. They will do anything to win including making the experience for both players not enjoyable. Someone has to lose, and to be a good role-player, you have to accept defeat some time. Power gaming also includes, pulling random items out of nowhere, like diamond swords, bows and arrows, guns, other non Minecraft items. Using these items to your advantage is also power gaming. Character Name: Athalos What is your Race?: Human Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Born on a human ship in the verge, Athalos is used to poverty and unfairness. The Reagent of the Ashen Council, Reynard, had an overflowing ship full of immigrants from Aegis, in which Athalos was born on. Although his mother was giving birth to Athalos, Reynard could not give them a fit room or doctor to help deliver. Since Athalos' dad had left his mother to fight the undead, no one was there to help Athalos' mother, Luicya, deliver the baby. Luicya was forced to give birth on the deck of the ship in front of all the men, with no medical assistance, or assistance what so ever. Athalos was born with a cat lip because of this. The cat lip has made Athalos shunned, for no one could stand the sight of him. The birth defect was so bad Luicya abandoned Athalos once she was off the ship. This pained Luicya, but she did manage to pull off one good thing, she left Athalos in a cradle in the wilderness, in which a hunter found Athalos and wanted to raise him. The hunter, Bardino, was a Scaddernak tamer. He tamed Scaddernaks using his cunning hunting skills, and he never used the Scaddernak for evil. The Scaddernak he did tame he sold to the orcs. Many people do not believe Scaddernak's still roam the world in Asulon, but you just have to find them. Bardino was not affected by Athalos' hideous cat lip, for he himself was a loner. Bardino was scarred horribly in the Feast of Flesh. So embarrassed Bardino ran from his Mori'Quessir village in fear of humiliation. Bardino had learned the human language over the years, eventually forgetting his native language. Because of this, Athalos does not know the language of Mori'Quessir. Athalos is 9 now, and only wears a hood over his face, for obvious reasons. Bardino has taught him not to be ashamed, but Luicya leaving him has made him too unstable about himself. Athalos' eyes are hazel, and his hair is blond, he is very strong. In the previous years Bardino has taught Athalos extreme concentration and patience, with people and animals. Athalos is able to control his mind and his temper with extreme consequence. Bardino has also trained him in agility, making him almost impossible to chase down. As of two months ago, Bardino has been training Athalos how to live by himself. He has taught him how to read and write, and has also showed him the use of the blade. Athalos only uses blades, swords, and knives when they must be used to insure his life, or one of utmost importance to him. His greatest trait is his determination to protect the Kingdom of Renatus, for although Reynard basically gave him a cat-lip, Athalos forgives him and will sacrifice his life for him. Athalos will pursue his life goal with integrity. His life goal is to protect Reynard and the Kingdom of Renatus with all of his might. He will not kill, he will not fail, he will only do what is right. Your characters ambitions: To protect Reynard and the Kingdom of Renatus. He will visit Bardino to give him food and money, and to show how he has improved from his last encounter. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Athalos moves with lightning speed and disarms the bandits, not using this blade. He does not kill the bandits, and as soon as the elf has the upper hand he leaves. For if he killed them he would be scarred, more scarred than he is now. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? “Would you like to buy some meat?” Athalos asked. “I would like to see that face of yours before I would see your meat, I do not trust strangers.” Replied the Shop owner. “I am sorry, this meat is not good enough for those who judge by appearance.” Athalos murmured as he walked away, thinking of how much money he would’ve made if he had the pride to take off his hood. In-Character: -Character Name: Vroshnak. -What is your Race?: Orc. -Biography: Being adapted to the harsh desert, Vroshnak, a hardy young Orc settled out to find a race that is big enough to fight him. All he could wrestle at his village were Goliaths which, Vroshnak was getting very bored of. Thus Vroshnak left to find a race worthy to be destroyed by his ginormous hands. Vroshnak examined Humans and Elves behind there backs, but they were not deemed worthy. Vroshnak was traveling through a teared up land, by Dwarven hands. An idea sprouted in Vroshnak's head, he could kill Dwarves, his mutual enemy! But having great respect for the Dwarves, He decided he needed an army first. He set out for the Orc War Nation of Kragrum, he knew that war was his calling. Being only a teenager when he got to Kragrum, Warlord Tythus denied his request of being in the army, stating he was too young and weak, that he would be an abomination to his army. Vroshnak was not giving up, he knew if he trained over the next years he would become a soldier under Tythus' command. Vroshnak's training wasn't good enough. Vroshnak had another brilliant plan, he would join the arena to fight! Everyone said it was suicide but Vroshnak thought otherwise! Vroshnak suited up for battle in the Bloodworks, scouting out his opponents, and his surroundings. There was nothing in the pit but sand, and more sand. He knew that he could use it for his advantage by flinging it in peoples eyes, and making deep crevices with his sword as he ran, so people would trip. Vroshnak used the world around him to fight for him, ending out in his favor. He won and he was hailed as the youngest warrior to live. Vroshnak knew he was ready, and so did Tythus. Tythus seeing the skill in his eyes, told Vroshnak he could join his army. Vroshnak joined with pride in being an orc, and now he is going to destroy the dwarves! -Character Age: 19 -Character Appearance: A young green Orc, very average, with no scars. Average muscles. Red eyes and huge teeth sprouting from the bottom of his mouth. He is bald. -Character Personality: Hard-working, always has a good attitude. Will never give up. Vroshnak went out for revenge on the Dwarves, but they were too powerful for him. Vroshnak set out on a quest to find Kragrum and join an army to fight all that opposed the Orcs. Vroshnak trained before he set out, and he killed his first Goliath when he was 19, he left the Goliath in a bloody heap, then he knew he was ready. Vroshnak joined Warlord Tythus to get his revenge on the Dwarves. Vroshnak has fought many battles and thinks he is ready to discover the mysteries in the dark maze of Groumj, once he uncovers that he will aim for all of the Dwarves. -Character Age: 31. -Character Appearance: Green muscles with pulsing blue veins run through-out his strong body.
