I believe it was just a google search or maybe on youtube. What do you think the server will be like?: I'm not to sure, I hope that its busy, bustling, and full of creative individuals! What is the rule you agree with the most?: I like the idea of the "Mechanical Standard" it fits with my general philosophy about this whole ​endeavor. Do you understand the combat rules, and what you can and can't do if you choose to roleplay as a villain?: Yes, it seems pretty straight forward. Are there any rules that confuse you or don't make sense?: The war rules are pretty tricky but I'm sure it will make more sense once I get stuck in. What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying,to me, is adopting a different persona and just channeling it. Its about escapism and immersion, with a hefty helping of improv acting! What is metagaming?: Metagaming is playing the game to win by any means necessary. Abusing exploits or just treating the game like a game. Its not necessarily bad but it doesn't mix with dedicated roleplaying. What is powergaming?: Most powergaming is Min-maxing. Manipulating a characters traits so that they have only powerful traits and few weaknesses. Usually by abusing the rules of the game. I always view this philosophy as an evil because it can ruin everyone else's fun. What's your Character called?: Ewan Anderson What race are they?: Ewan is a highlander What gender are they?: Male How old are they?: They should be about 25 or 26 if I understood the time line correctly (Note: the server lore was so extensive I had trouble keeping up with it, I hope that these time periods are correct and I have done my best to keep as much accuracy as possible) Character Biography ------------------------- Ewan was born a few years before the flood of Anthos, and it still haunts him to this day. He was two weeks premature, and a few days after he was born his mother died of a horrible fever. This sent his father into a spiraling depression, the once hardworking woodcutter could not handle the loss of his wife and turned to drink often neglecting his young son. Ewan grew up unloved spending most of his youth free to wander the outskirts of New Ager. He observed animals and learned the the basics of herbalism from observing their behavior. As he grew older he would escape to the forest to read. He discovered all sorts of subjects from magic (something he found he had little aptitude for), to alchemy and medicine two subjects that never ceased to fascinate him. Before he left Anthos he became an apprentice to a traveling doctor named Willem. He taught him how to care for people and apply all the things he had learned. Ewan traveled to Athera with Willem and began to ply his trade in the new world. What are they like?: Ewan can be very shy and is quickly labeled as an introvert. However, he is very empathetic and hates to see people suffer. This often motivates him to take action that would usually seem out of place for someone like him. He also has an incredible bed side manner and is just someone who is easy to talk to. What are their ambitions?: Ewan wants to make the world better, he wants to prevent death, pain, and suffering. He has few other motivations for what he does, he just wants people to be able to live a better life than him. He never wants there to be another motherless child. Do they have any special skills?: Ewan is quite proficient in herbalism and the general study of medicine. As I mentioned before his bed side manner is also excellent, he seems to know exactly what to say to people. What are their weaknesses?: Ewan was a runt, and on top of that he was malnourished as a child. This makes him a pretty weak guy, and his frame is so skinny he can barely wear armor. Hes also practically useless in a fight, sure he can wave a club around to swat a few animals, but against an armed opponent hes completely useless. Give us a description of how they look?: Ewan is a bit of a runt, he small and skinny. He stands at about 5"10' and his forest green cloak drapes around him and brushes the floor as he walks. His eyes are a deep brown almost the same color as his hair. His skin is leathery and tan from years of travel and days spent in the wild. He is a very unimposing figure. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: About 1-2 hours during the week, but about 3-4 on the weekends. How long have you played minecraft?: Almost a year now. What kind?: In terms of what I know about roleplaying, its not to act like your from the 17th century, but to not be you, to be your character (In this case a human with a dark background). I have been roleplaying for several months not counting LARP's I have done. I have done three different kinds of tabletop roleplaying. Dungeons and Dragons, The star wars RPG, and the Robotech RPG (The Robotech one almost none of us understood). What do you expect this server will be like?: A large server but with a community vibe. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on three different servers. Ultimate Minecraft which I left because of lag (I still visit though), Hatchet which I left because it was boring, and a private server that I still play on. Biography: Raised in the nothern lands of oren the last few years of Loki's life have been filed with death and strife. When his sister was but a wee' lass and he had not even been born, Loki's parents decided to move away from the bustling streets of Alk'hazar (did I spell that right?) and make a better life for theselves in the wild northern lands. They established a small yet fruitfull farm, and soon Loki was brought into the picture. From as soon as he learned to work he hated the place. He helped his father work the feilds, while his sister and mother kept house. This short period of peace and prosperity did not last long however, for soon the worshippers of Iblees began their assault on the north. His father was killed in the early attacks and due to the British country side affect* was seperated from his mother and sister. He was forced to join a wing of the gaurd training young men to fight the undead, but his battalion never saw action and was disbanded. I am not the best role player but far from the worst. Big, crowded but with a community vibe. Yes I have read both the lore and the rules, I do find the whole anguels (did i spell that right?) thing confusing. Biography: A young Elven warrior from the north. His fighting style is zen like, and he often will fight in a trance. I don't know how long LOTC Elves live i'm guessing about 300 years so maybe 4o-50 (human years maybe 18). A young but tall elf with fair skin, and long blonde hair. My character is reasonably intelligent but can be gruff sometimes. He normally remains calm in dire situations. He is friendly but not "Lets go to the tavern and get drunk" friendly. His true nature only shines through in battle. My characters only ambition is to serve the high prince and earn a place at his side. My character can read and write, he is highly educated. Especially in combat tactics. Yes my character has developed mining skills. I can build reasonably well on my own. But I can labor on large projects as long as i'm not completely responsible for design. Yes as a warrior my character can fight with axes, swords, and bows.
