Out-Of-Character Details Minecraft Account Name: MA573rMiND How old are you?: 17 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Mountain Time, Canada. Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?: I would say so, considering passing with flying colours in grade 11, and getting all A's so far this year. Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?: Yes. I've played on this server on and off for a year, and aside from that, only in comical interactions with my friends, in real-life. Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?: Yes, I have. How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: I don't quite remember, but I believe it was through minecraftforums' server postings, while searching for one on which to play. Link any previous applications you have made to the Lord of the Craft: Monk Application Have you posted this application on Minecraft Forum? If not, post it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/! : No, but will do as soon I submit this one. In-Character Details Character Name: My name is Levairomin (pronounced: L-short e-long a-r-long o-m-short i-n, with accent on first or second syllable). Character Race: And I am a pure-blooded human. Northern I believe. Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: As I've already stated my name is Levairomin, and I am a human. I am 23 years old. Umm... let's see here... Oh yeah, what I look like. Brown hair, dark brown eyes, slightly tanned white skin... Broad shouldered and thin. I am not all that muscular, but I can sure move quick. As for my history, I come from a small unnamed village where hard work was what we were taught, and pride of our labour was our reward. I grew up there, helping my mother and father with keeping the cattle. I'd go out each morning to milk the cows, feed the chickens, pigs, and pets, then move on to working the wheat field. I didn't enjoy it much, but it really bother me. But when I turned 15, the king of a nearby land had died. You see, our village had this deal with this place that we'd work hard, give them some of our produce, and visit their markets, in trade for our home land being left alone. But the new king was not so kind. He made new, harsh laws, but the people had no choice but to obey them. But some people stood up to the tyrannous leader. A secret group of elite warriors was formed, thier goal to counteract the work of the evil king to keep our land peaceful, at any cost. I joined that group, ranking as number 17 amoung the 50 of them, after some training. I made my own swords, and fought side by side with the best men in the country in the wars that followed. I got to know my weapons so well, I knew them better than my own two hands. Eventually, the wars stopped and our group of peace keepers disbanded. My parents home is still is good shape, despite their crops burned and animals killed. But their alive, and I'm thankful for that. I've moved out. Did so when I was 20, as the custom dictated. I haven't found a wife, but I've been keeping busy. Earning money, as a hunter and forester, living in the bounty of the wilderness. What are your characters ambitions?: To protect the innocent, and punish the unjust. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: And a moving one:skin Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: His origin. I have my own personal lore of my own multiverse, and in one I have my lore of the Darkblade. Which originated from a song about a self-aware sword that kills off all injustice in the world. Anyhow, my Levairomin is the main character from this personal lore, who eventually (once the sword is created and dark magic is used on it) has his soul transferred to the sword. When this happens, and other magic is used and fails, all but his sense of justice is taken away from him, and he goes from universe to universe, freeing the worlds of injustice through murder. He finds a 'chosen one', the only one powerful enough in each world to contain its power, and possesses them to make them superhuman in strength and ability. But I would like to point out that this happens only /after/ he becomes the Darkblade. The point at which I've chosen to roleplay him is when he is still in control of himself, and a model citizen. Open-Response-Questions Anwser at least two of the below questions with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? "What is the meaning of the racket, orc? Is there any cause for your anger?" I ask. He turns his head my way, and snarls. "Show, little human. Before I squash you too." The dwarf shouts in a rather annoyed voice. "He stole me axe! An' he says he ain't be givin' it back 'less I pay 'im all me minas!" The orc, even more angered, looks back at the dwarf. "Shud up!" he roars. "No. Not until ye be givin' back what be mine!" The orc raises the axe up and over his back, readying for a good swing. "Then I'll shud you up myself." I've already got my sword drawn, and had been anticipating this moment. Seeing that this is no mere threat, but an actual attempt at murder, I lunge at the large green monster. The axe is on it's way down, grey steel splitting the warm summer air. A flash of blue glistens in the sun, and the next thing either of them knew, the axe had flung freely through the air, and a big green arm, severed at the elbow, was laying in the dirt. The orc let out a cry of pain, before clamping his free hand over the wound and gritting his teeth. I tell the monster, "I suggest you get that cut looked at by someone who knows how to deal with those kinds things. Leave it to itself for too long, and you could get infected. Or worse, you could loose all you blood." Angry and in pain, the orc storms off, blood dripping through through his hand from the wound. "You're welcome," I say as the dwarf goes to pick up his weapon. "I didn' need any of your help," he says in a prideful tone. Obviously trying to keep his image. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: I run toward the man. "Are you okay?" I pick him up, and search for injuries, finding none. He mumbles something, but I can't quite make it out. Something about thanks and grace. I check my knapsack for any pieces of wood (seeing as how I live in the forest). Miraculously, I have a large stick sitting underneath some chunks of bark I'd collected for making a fire earlier. I give the man the stick, saying "Here. You may use this until you can find a better staff. Also-" I take a couple steps to the left, pointing with an open hand. "-You dropped your money," I say, as I reach over to pick it all up. "That's... that's my medicine money. Thank you so much, sir. I- I don't know what I would do if I were to loose it," the elderly sir mumbles with a frail voice. I put the coins back into the bag out of which they fell, and put the bag in his hand. "Would it be alright if I walked with you the rest of your journey?" I say, knowing that a man of such state should not be left on his own in a desolate (and if it is a forested area) and dangerous place. "Wha-...oh, yes, yes. That'd be wonderful, young man." And so we walk down the path together, talking about our day, and making ourselves acquainted with each other.

*Roman puts his own note "Monk Roman, Roman Servius. (At your servery-us). Reporting in to say that I am a mostly active monk and wish to stay in the group. Thank you." ((Lately I'm not on AS MUCH, due to a GIANT project in single player. Something to do with making the biggest laboratory I've ever imagined, then styling it as a huge cathedral, all in vanilla.. But rest assured that I'm still an active role-player.

The Wilven Sanctuary Monks Application Thread
MA573rMiND replied to Lita's topic in Asulon Roleplay Archive
Your Minecraft Username: MA573rMiND Your Monk's Name: Roman. Although he does not have an original application. He is the grown up (and much changed since) 'Brandon'. Due to some complicated matters, mostly being that he grew up without parents, he has no last name. Or at least he can not remember it. Even so, he prefers that if addressed with a last name, that it be ((. Have you read and agreed to follow the rules? Yes, I have. Your Monk's Personality: Roman lives for knowledge, justice, and truth. He lives for knowledge, sacrifices for truth, and dies for justice. He is kind and tenderhearted, although one might not know, because of his social awkwardness and boldness. He will try to be polite, but the words will sometimes come out wrong. The military doesn't teach one manners and curtsies. He hates injustice and false truths, and is willing to fight 'till the bitter end to defend them. A Very Brief Bio (Just a basic bio, not nearly as long as the one you used when applying for the server): Roman started his life as a child in a magical forest with the name 'Brandon'. An undead army passed through and burned the village. His mother died in the fire, his father in the war. He found his way to a city, Alras, where he found his uncle. He was trained in using the sword, so well in fact that it became an extension of his arm. As natural as his hand. His uncle died of heart problems later, and left his blacksmith shop to Brandon. The poor teenager didn't have near enough money to sustain it. The shop got shut down, and Brandon decided to join the army. If nothing else, for the sheer joy of sword fighting. One day, his best friend was falsely accused of a terrible crime. There was absolutely no evidence, but his commander, a mean man who bent the rules to his liking, had ordered Brandon to murder him. And in the name of justice yet. Brandon, 18 then, turned on his master and attacked him, not to kill but just to right all the injustice done by the mean old fart. Both were masters of the sword. In the end, Brandon had to defend his friend against the entire Alras army. Some men fell, including the mean commander, and Brandon ran away with a scar. All the army was looking for him. He needed to hide. He changed his name to Roman. He found a magician willing to change his eye color, let his hair grow messy (cutting random places short every now and then), and wore a scarf to hide who he was. He traveled the world like this, not ever getting to know anyone, or having a real home. After a long while, the heat died down. Then one day, he came across an odd man in Normandor, who turned out to be possessed from being trapped in an evil mine. He followed around a group of people looking to help the man. They went to the mines, found the problem, and solved the man's issue. One of the people in this group was Verren. A sweet elf woman. She'd broken her leg and Roman helped fix it up. Soon after, they fell in love. Now, both Roman and his love, Verren, are looking to become monks and live in peace. Who were the Celestial Triumvirate?: Excuse my poor knowledge, history is my only bad subject. From memory: The Triumvirate was a temple made in honor of 3 friends: Keldrith, Rellenia, and Tariel. The Celestial Triumvirate refers to the 3 themselves. A Lost traveler come to the Sanctuary and asks, "Monk, where am I and how might I find my way?" How do you respond?: You are in the cloud temple, a sanctuary of eternal safety and peace. From here there are four pathways that'll take you into the rest of the world of Asulon. Some of the creatures you'll find are Human, Elf, Orc, Dwarf, and Kharajyr, among rare others. A Screenshot of Your Monk's Skin (Robes must be one of the three colors and similar in base Posted Image): Anything else you'd like to say: Modified my robes to be sleeveless. Partly because I get hot easily, and partly cause I'd prefer to have a little extra flare, differentiate myself. If it's not allowed I'll gladly change it back. -
Thank you! And yesterday a gm told me in-game to edit my bio, now I was just about to type out my 12 notebook pages I typed out last night! I'll type it out anyway.

Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name: MA573rMiND -How old are you?: 16 (but I've been mistaken for 18) -Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Mountain/Canada -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I have an IQ of about 125-130, but it's sometimes a slow-acting mind. I've been a gamer and artist ever since I was little, although my occupation is a janitor/busboy at a trucking company. I recently built my own PC and completed a Computer Maintenance and Repair course with 95%. I work out (occasionally) and talk in a low voice as not to become a nerd. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 5-15 -How long have you played minecraft?: Over a year, since about 1.3, registered on 1.7. -What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: I know it's definition and use. Although I've had little practice in it and I'm glad to do more. In the past, my role-playing was putting myself into someone else's mindset as to understand their life, solve problems, and to get myself to settle down (for the past 10 minutes I've been using it to 'set' my mind as an intellectual as so that my words may be clear and accepted). -What do you expect this server will be like?: The best one I've ever been on. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: MysticalCraft, still playing as an architectural artist (although it's been down for a while); and ybgames.us.to, banned for accidentally letting a griefer out of a hole/prison (I had believed he fell through the hole in the glass roof, although I am now truly sorry). -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes I agree and submit to all the laws and rules. As for the Lore, I understand and love the story of the Lore; but I don't know what this 'lore' is, is it just the name of the story or an object? -Name the 4 races on this server. Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc. -How did you hear about us?: Minecraftforum.net searching for servers. -Did you vote?: Many times, yes. -What was your favourite Law?: No Griefing. -What was your least favourite Law?: The non-existent one about having to kill someone to get whitelisted (meaning: "I love and accept them all. None are unnecessary or harsh in any way." -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? MA573rMiND In-Character: -Character Name: Brandon -What is your Race?: Human -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/user/24650-ma573rmind/ -Biography: {EDITED, 3 times} Brandon was born in a lovely, small village in the heart of the forest wilderness. His mother died soon after childbirth though, she had the plague and was pushing herself to last long enough for him to be born. Luckily the disease hadn't passed on to any of the other family members. The village he lived in might've been small, but everyone knew each other well. Brandon's father raised him until the age of 5, when a group of undead came out of the forest and attacked the little village. He had been told by his father to go to his uncle in the city Oren, where he might be safe. Brandon's father died defending the village later that night and the village had gotten burnt down. Upon reaching Aegis, Brandon asked around for where his uncle lived. As it turned out, his uncle was a swordsmith. Finding him was easy. His uncle raised him from then on, at times a friend and at times a parent. But he trained young Brandon in the ways of the swordsman and Brandon was a willing student. It started with teaching Brandon to make his own sword. He trained day after day, using dummies made of wood. His uncle thought it a nice way to get the wood chopped in the cooler seasons. And when slicing wood dummies became too easy, he would go on short camping trips with his uncle, hunting with his blade. After 5 years of training, at age 12, Brandon knew his sword as well he knew his own arm. It became an extension of his body. Eventually, Brandon was going solo on his own short treks into forests and mountains, memorizing the lay of the land and gathering materials for upgrading his blade. He pledged to himself that with the perfect sword he would one day rid all the land of all its evils. At age 15 he fought a dragon he found while exploring a random forest. It left his eye forever scarred and discolored. Currently, at the young age 16, he has taken over his old uncle's smith, and is spending his spare time ever searching for rumored enchanted and magic materials to remake his rusty old sword into the best blade that ever was. And with it he will kill every undead, every dragon, and every other evil creature. -Character Age: 16 -Character Appearance: Tough skin, messy brown hair, blade almost always in hand (favors iron), never wearing helmet, strong muscles in small package (meaning not short but that the muscles are only that of the average sword-fighter), he has a scar over his right eye, his right eye is a slightly different color than the other. -Character Personality: Sober (serious), ambitious, strong spirit, loves adventuring, constantly traveling (and getting lost). -Your ambitions: Rid the land of evil, preach truth to all the world, and make the world's only perfect enchanted blade. -Can your character read or write?: He found a friendly traveling scribe upon one of his journeys and decided to join him as a bodyguard, although mostly just for the heck of it. The scribe taught him to read and write until Brandon had enough skills to read a letter and, albeit sloppily, write a decent response. -Can your character mine?: He gets lost easily, but yes. Although it's more of just using the end of his sword's hilt to smash off bits that stick out in plain view. When he gets the chance he sometimes purchases an iron pick. He prefers starting in the high mountains to gather coal for his smithy, and works his way into the seemingly maze-like caves deep within the Oren mountains. When he gets lost, he may just dig up until he surfaces, then look about 'till he sees the town. This way, even with a terrible sense of direction he is always able to find his way back. -Are you a capable builder? Brandon rebuilt his uncle's smithy, so yes, he is a fairly decent builder. He'd decided that the old stone structure looked far too old and was too cold in the winter. He build the new shop out of planks, wool floors, a fascinating wood frame in his bedroom, and multiple decorative stones that were too weak or too flawed to be used in smithing. -Can you wield a sword?: Nothing but. After all, he grew up with one. -Enjoy Farming?: Never knew it, and not interested enough to try. Although Brandon plants the occasional watermelon when sales get too low. -Does your character have any special skills? Blademaster, architectural art, as explained previously in the biography and above questions. -A screenshot of your skin: I have one for this server: and one I use elsewhere: -Other information: I have an IQ of around 130 and a good facts memory (but a terrible name memory, being why I dislike history class and don't mention any names or places in my char biography). I look forward to being whitelisted as so that I may no longer be a wandering soul but a citizen of the best server ever! Attached is the file for my skin for whenever I role-play. This skin was taken from the official LOTC skins site, although I have edited only the hairline and eyes as well as taken away the hood (if I were able to flip the hood on/off I'd keep it). I also decided to add a sword onto the back, seemed fit as Brandon is never without a blade. The world is from a custom map called 'Through the Gate' EDIT: I'm sorry for how extremely long this post is, but I am simply answering all the questions on the application form that was posted on LOTC's minecraftforum.net page as well as the tips given in my first denial. I have now read this site's lore page and understand and love it. The skin is also different than the 3rd person picture I posted because I had added a sword to the skin and couldn't retake the photo (due to the world file being deleted).

Sorry. I read the lore on the minecraftforum post and I couldn't tell weather it was a story or an item. Thanks for clarifying, I'll do some research and re-edit later. Oh, and by the way, not to sound cocky but I've never used a planned method when it comes to short stories. I always develop the story as I go and was hoping to do so by playing. And this Brandon character in my story is one that I've had in my mind for ages, and I find it difficult to just instantly come up with a full background story on the spot for such a person. Anyway, I'll see what I can do. EDIT: So I've read the official lore page. I love it! Better yet, I finally understand it! I have re-edited my post. -

Yes. Sorry that it took so long. I've had a busy week.... I made the biography as though I were writing a short story or as if I were starting a novel. I hope its long enough because I really would love to RP as a registered player on Lord Of The Craft.

-Did you vote?: Twice. -the third one didn't work. -What was your favourite Law?: No Griefing. -What was your least favourite Law?: The non-existent one about having to kill someone to get whitelisted (meaning: "I love and accept them all. None are unnecessary or harsh in any way." -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name? MA573rMiND In-Character: -Character Name: Brandon -What is your Race?: Human -Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: I will be filling it out as this is read. http://www.lordofthe...650-ma573rmind/ -Biography: {EDITED, couldn't tell if moderator was sarcastic or not} Brandon was born only a few years before the time of the destruction of the ring. His mother died soon after childbirth though, she had the plague and was pushing herself to last long enough for him to be born. Luckily the disease hadn't passed on to any of the other family members. The village he lived in was small, but everyone knew each other well. Brandon's father (whose name I will not mention as I might forget it) raised him until the age of 5, a group of undead came out of the forest and attacked the little village. He had been told by his father to go to his uncle in Aegis where he might be safe. It started with teaching Brandon to make his own sword (he had some help from his uncle of course). After 5 years of training, at age 12, Brandon knew his sword as well he knew his own arm. It became an extension of his body. He pledged to himself that with it he would on day rid all the land of all its evils. Currently (age 16, another 4 years later) he has taken over his old uncle's smith and is spending his spare time searching for enchanted and magic materials to remake his rusty old sword into the best blade that ever was. -Character Age: 16 -Character Appearance: Tough skin, messy brown hair, blade almost always in hand (favors iron), never wearing helmet, strong muscles in small package (meaning not short but that the muscles are only that of the average sword-fighter). -Character Personality: Sober (serious), ambitious, strong spirit, loves adventuring, constantly traveling (and getting lost). -Your ambitions: Rid the land of evil, preach truth to all the world, and make the world's only perfect enchanted blade. -Can your character read or write?: Reads well, writes sloppy. -Can your character mine?: Gets lost easily, but yes. -Are you a capable builder? Definitely. -Can you wield a sword?: Nothing but. -Enjoy Farming?: Grew up with it, so no. -Does your character have any special skills? Blademaster, architectural art. -A screenshot of your skin: I have one for this server: http://ma573rmind.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=scraps#/d4a8xtd and one I use elsewhere: http://ma573rmind.deviantart.com/gallery/?catpath=scraps#/d4a8y62 -Other information: I have an IQ of around 130 and a good facts memory (but a terrible name memory, being why I dislike history class and don't mention any names or places in my char biography. The world is from a custom map called 'Through the Gate'. EDIT: I'm sorry for how extremely long this post is, but I am simply answering all the questions on the application form that was posted on LOTC's minecraftforum.net page. Also, I hadn't included the names of towns or lands in the character biography because, as much as I love the Lord of the Rings movies, I do not know any. Only the main characters' names (Gandolf, Frodo, Sam, etc).
