  1. What's your MC name?

    xXDylanXx1013

What kind of events are most interested in? (Playing as a temporary faction, creature, Antagonist etc..)

I am most interested in creature rp and events, as they are usually perceived as unique due to the fact that the basis on the event is not on spoken word, but by the appearance and actions of the creature in front of them. On the contrary, I am quite alright with providing fun rp to the players through whatever medium that is presented to me.

What kinds of influential RP has your current LOTC character been involved in?

Lykos has been through quite a lot in his years in Aegis and in Asulon. In Aegis, Lykos participated greatly in the undead war. In the war, Lykos fought valiantly, defending Alkhazar until it was covered in Miasma. Within the timeframe of the war, he bagged countless undead minions and necromancers.

In Asulon, Lykos returned to his roots, acting as a hunter of monster and man. His skills were noticed by the head of the Subadai tribes, Khagan Sauros Alanbataar. Lykos joined with the Subadai in raiding multiple settlements and razing many ghost towns.

What in your opinion, makes a good event?

Let me start off by saying that there are countless variables that layer atop each other to create a memorable and entertaining event. I will explain the variables that I believe help the most in creating an exceptional event.

    (Not in order of importance)

Variety. Without variety, events tend to become stale. I believe that events greatly prosper from individuality, as players will not become bored with trite and cliché events as long as something new is offered.

Duration. The quality of an event is not entirely dependent on how long it lasts, but it can help the event to become memorable. Longer events tend to seem much more "epic" to the common player I have seen firsthand the utter disappointment expressed by many a player regarding the shortness of a couple of undead siege events.

Immersion. The higher the amount of immersion an event provides the better. When an event engrosses you into the universe, it brings the player closer to the character, which in turn brings the player closer into the world and into the event. When the player is completely BELIEVING that they are in this world, and that this event is happening, the player's mind has the chance to imagine, to create. This is one of the most important aspects of an event, and is the variable that can make or break the entire aspect of playing a game.

Let's say your playing as a wolf, wandering outside a village and you smell cake from within a bakery that seems unattended. Inside the bakery the cake sits on the counter. What do you do and how do you emote?

*Desperate for any scrap of food that would enable it to survive, the wolf trots along the side of an elven village on silent paws.

*The_Wolf lifts its snout high, breathing in the air and searching it for any sign of a meal. Suddenly, the aroma of something sweet bombards his nose.*

*The_Wolf smelled the cake, and eagerly followed the scent, careful to try and stay undetected.*

*The waves of the aroma guided the wolf to the cake as if someone were pointing to it...

*The cake now came into sight. The wolf had no special taste for sweets, but the cake was food. The cake was sustenance. The cake was continuing life.*

*The_Wolf manages to creep into the bakery and makes its way towards the counter, as close to the ground as it could without lying down. He lifts his large head above the counter and quickly snaps the cake into its maw.

*Shopkeeper_Thomas notices the wolf take the cake and grabs the closest thing to a weapon that he could find nearby: a broom.

Shopkeeper_Thomas: Gah! Get out get out GET OUT!

*Shopkeeper_Thomas chases the wolf with the broom and attempts to swat at it with the broom.

*The_Wolf takes the hits to the body and quickly downs as much of the cake as he could before he could not bear the strikes any longer.

*A single swipe to the snout forces the wolf to drop what was left of the cake and flee out of the shop.

*The_Wolf sprints as fast as he can past the astonished onlookers on his way out of town.

*Shopkeeper_Thomas stands in his doorway, proud of his defense of the shop.

(SHOUT)Shopkeeper_Thomas: I'll be ready for you next time!

You're playing as a necromancer hiding out in a graveyard, in search of a relic. Two armor-less players enter the graveyard to revisit an old friend. What do you do to create an experience for them and how do you reveal yourself?

(I hope that me creating a speech/emote board such as the one above to answer this question is accepted here as well...)

*Cecil_The_Cold begins digging into the ground with his hoe, wondering why he didn't bring a shovel.

    Michael_Bruneswich: How'd he die?

Dex: Piggers. Lots of pigmen ambushed him while he was just standing there and enjoying the view...

*Michael hears the sound of a tool striking earth a few rows down from where he stood.

Michael_Bruneswich: What is that... *Michael points towards the source of the sound*

*Cecil_The_Cold raises his head, trying to see who was near. The two catch sight of him, his dirt-covered face betraying an expression of slight panic. He addresses the two, barely hiding his panic.

Cecil_The_Cold: Well hello there, young flesh!

Dex: Eh... What are you doing?

Cecil_The_Cold: Oh, well, just eh... finding something that a friend wants back from a family member!

Michael_Brunesich noticeably leans back in disgust.

Michael_Brunesich: Yeah... What you are doing right now? Illegal. Get the hell out of here before I call the guards on you!

Cecil_The_Cold: Oh, calm yourself... A supple young one such as yourself could handle threats yourself, yes?

*Cecil_The_Cold climbs out of the hole and takes a few very quick and erratic steps towards the two.

*Dex takes a few steps backwards, trying to keep distance between him and the strange man.

*Michael_Brunesich panics and yells at the top of his lungs for any guards.

(SHOUT)Michael_Brunesich: HELP, HELP! I'm being attacked, help!

    *Cecil_The_Cold growls to himself

Cecil_The_Cold: Now why would you do that, you Schh-tupid worm?!

*Cecil_The_Cold takes his staff from his back and points it at the two for a second before darting off towards the forrest.

    Dex: Get him!

*Michael_Brunesich catches up with the man and attempts to tackle him.

*Cecil_The_Cold runs with all the strength that his weak form could produce, but it is not enough and he is easily taken to the ground.

(Various guards catch up to the group)

    Michael_Brunesich: I caught him!

Guardsman_Trent: Alright, hold him down and i'll cuff 'im!

Cecil_The_Cold struggles under the weight of the young man on top of him, but could not conjure any bit of strength. Exhausted, he lets go of his stave.

*Guardsman_Trent grabs a hold of the man's arms and slaps cuffs onto him. He pulls Cecil onto his feet and steers him off towards the jail.

(SHOUT)Cecil_The_Cold: You won't stop me! Nothing will stop me! You cannot even begin to fathom the amount of power that flows within meeeee!

*Guardsman_Trent chuckles and slaps him over the head. "Shut up. I won't have you spurting this crap in the dungeon, else we /MIGHT/ have to execute you, got me?

*Cecil_The_Cold clenches his mouth shut and keeps his lips tight as he is hauled off towards the jail.

(/ending this, as it could go on for a while...)

You're playing as a drunken sailor. You have to tell players rumors of treasure but accidentally, how do you go about doing this?

I would walk into the tavern and order a "few" drinks. After becoming appropriately saturated in drink, I would begin ranting about my own life and how it was so very fulfilling. Case in point, I would speak to my fellow bar-goers and tell them how pathetic they are, then accidentally saying that while they were sitting in a bar wasting their lives away (irony), he was in search of treasure. Someone would buy me a few more drinks. After getting EVEN MORE drunk, I would continue to spout gibberish, and within, I would detail my journey... From boring start to juicy and informative future. (My plans in searching for the treasure.) After indirectly giving the crowd something to think about in more ways than one, I would rather comically pass out and fall to the ground, not rousing to even the most dedicated rouses.

Create a small paragraph describing a quirky character that could provide roleplay for players.

Grant was the lord of all beggars in his own mind. He speaks with rather broken old-timey gentleman speech.

    "Speaketh you on."

    "Hither to me, good varlet."

    "We are so very sooth."

    "Go to, bold fighterperson."

    "In sooth, mostly goodly done."

"Anon us most soon again, for sooth."

"We is most pleased... eth... ified."

And so on... Grant would act as if he were the emperor of all in the area, asking them for tithes, aka begging for money. Grant regularly orders the most expensive things in a store, even asking for "one of everything" at restaurants before being forced to leave by the owner when he cannot seem to find any minas in his coinpurse... Which is regrettably almost always empty. His ways with money are both what has put him in his situation, and the reason why he stays so poor. He is also not very fond of the word "pumpkin", and will unleash a tangent of nonsensical insults on its very mention.

  2. Lykos walks by the man, hearing his sputtering last words.

"Survival of the fittest... Didn't even survive a pack of wolves. Unless..." Lykos quickly snaps to movement and runs out into the wilds around Arethor, weapon drawn.
