  1. *walks by the post, then reads it... Then re-reads it.

    "What the..."

    *Growls loudly in anger*

    "Letting them know our home, our history?! You allow them swift access to us... To our families, to our young... If I see this beast anywhere near me, then Metztli will taste its vile blood on the altar. I promise that."

    *Shajiir stops yelling at the inanimate poster, then walks away seeking Krahn, combing his claws through the fur on his head to try and calm himself.*

    ((seriously... To everybody that meets other races, THEY ARN'T YOUR BUDDY, GUY!))

  2. Yeah... Hopefully we won't be walking on all fours through the streets of Alras... Please remember that Kharajyr are not the type of people to bury their pride when it would come to dealing with non-khas... Though our initial reaction at even a "default" level towards a new species hasn't been set in stone.

    Who knows? We could be douchbags that skin everything in site or we could be at the opposite end of the spectrum.

  3. ((so... If an orc somehow finds the existence of a new race, they dont try to do anything you'd expect from an Orc, like fighting one, but they come to steal a boat... Riiiiight.

    Weelp... I guess we have to start abducting some apes soon :P))

  4. The Karakatuan military

    ---

    The Kharajyr's military is composed of a wide assortment of guerrilla fighters that prefer taking an enemy apart piece by piece, then retreating back into the forrest to lose any enemies following them. While there is a basic structure in the military, there are sub-groups alongside, seperated due to the warrior's different skills.

    The military's backbone is the Warband, the Do'Culan, while the other subsidiaries, the Do'Gurka and the Do'Kuta, back it up in their own useful ways.

     Within these Sections, there are different sub-rankings to denote experience and prowess in battle.

    Skill level: the skill level required to rank up is spread amongst 5 different levels: Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master. (I already know EVERYONE is already uber-powerful-legendary-badass, which kind of ruins rp... 'Specially since the skills are from your last characters... So we will Think about this for rp...) Technically, the skills go as follows.

    Novice: 0-24

    Apprentice: 25-49

    Journeyman: 50-74

    Expert: 75-99

    Master: 100

    -"skills" such as stealth and commanding will be evaluated by superiors.-

    (as great as everyone in our military being super-uber-badasses would be, it just pisses on rp...)

    ---

    Do'Culan

    ---

    The Do'Culan, or the Warband, is the basic structure within the entire military, and is home to the most members.

    As skill and experience greatly spread out amongst the members of the Warband differently, there are different ranks.

    Soldier Ranks (Do'Culan)

    ~~~
    Recruit: The recruits are the newest, and at most time the youngest members of the Warband. As they lack experience and higher skill, the will spend most of their time training and drilling in the military district or will be on the flanks of higher-ranked members to both back them up and to learn from them. Recruits are generally not very respected, and are freely bossed around by higher ranks, often being forced to do more menial jobs, such as cleaning the floors of various military buildings. Recruits are expected to fight in attack/defence battles, to help capture slaves/sacrifices, to help exterminate vermin, and to train vigorously in the military district.
    Stats at join
    Novice+ in general combat
    ---
    Journeyman: The journeyman is the middleground rank of the Warband, and holds the most members due to the large requirements for advancement. Amongst the Journeymen, There are many tasks to handle, ranging from taking up guard positions, going out on raids, collecting slaves/sacrifices, vermin extermination, and low level personal guarding. Journeymen are of medium skill and experience, and hold a healthy amount of respect from both superiors, inferiors, and civilians.
    Required for advancement
    Skill: Journeyman+ in general combat
    ---
    Veteran: The veterans of the Warband are regarded as highly-skilled warriors and are near the peak of military accomplishment within the fighting ranks of the Do'Culan, and have a hefty amount of experience under their belts. With this rank comes more important and harder jobs, along with better equipment and pay. Veterans are expected to help the lower ranks train and to help them along their path. Veteran's jobs may include High-importance location and V.I.P. guarding, high-level attack and defense, slave/sacrifice collection, vermin extermination, and to help train and drill lower ranked members one on one, leaving the officers to train the Warband en masse. Veterans command a high level of respect from all around them.
    Requird for advancement
    Skill: Expert+ in general combat
    ---
    Prime: The Primes are the most powerful, skilled, and experienced members of the Warband, and have decades' worth of scars to show it. Primes are at the top of the entire infantry rank tree within the Warband and command an extreme level of respect from everyone from a beggar to the Tlatlnni himself. The Primes are outfitted with the best equipment that the empire can provide, and as such, are expected to complete the most dangerous jobs. Primes are the most skilled warriors of all Kharajyr, and are the main recruitment base for the Dra'Metza, the Tlatlanni's personal guard. Primes are thrown into most situations along with other members of any rank to serve as a "hero" and to drastically swing the pendulum of victory towards the Kharajyr. As a "hero" acting on their own accord as directed by high command, the Prime is not required to follow orders from low-ranking officers, such as squad leaders... Jobs may range from personal guarding of high-ranking officials including Aelkos, guarding high level positions, such as outside the palace, attack and defense of all kinds, slave/sacrifice collection, vermin extermination.
    Required for advancement
    Skill: Master in general combat
    Officer ranks (Do' Culani)
    ~~~

    -in order to get started down the officer path of the Warband, one must be picked out by current officers for Leadership tendecies and skill, along with skill in combat-

    Kaii: The Kaii are the lowest officer rank, and fill out positions as squad leaders. When not deployed alongside the fighters, Kaii will be in the military district training and drilling recruits and journeymen. As squad leaders, Kaii will be required to do the same jobs as the combat ranks, such as directing slave/sacrifice collection.

    Required for officer tree start

    Experience: High ranked officer suggestion, Journeyman rank. --- Skill: Journeyman+ in general combat, Roughly an "apprentice" rank of leadership skills (to be determined by superiors)

    ---

    Daii: The Daii are a step above the Kaii and in turn are required to complete more responsibilities, including guiding the multiple Kaii in conjunction with other Daii throughout a conflict. When not on a military campaign, Daii will act as Guard lieutenants and administrate the guard within a district of a city. As with the combat ranks, Daii are expected to help in battle both with command and with combat prowess, and are to direct the capture of slaves/sacrifices. Daii are to help with the training of Journeymen and recruits.

As with other officers, they are expected to help in combat.

    Required for advancement

    Skill: Master in general combat, Expert in command skill.

    ---

    Krajn: The Krajn are the leaders of the Warband, and always number three. They administrate entire military campaigns and work directly with the Tultelkos in order to command the entire network. While not required to help fight on the front lines, they often choose to in order to increase morale. While they administrate campaigns, the Krajn also take charge of the command over the entire guarding of the city.

    Required for advancement

    Skill: Master in general combat, Master in command --- Special: Possitions open only when the Tultelkos and the Tlatlanni deem a Driil worthy of the position, and the hopeful will have to duel a member of the Krajn for his position.

    ~~~
    Tactics: The Warband usually works by ambushing their enemy then fading back into the jungle to lose any pursuers. When confronted in a battle, the Kharajyr will ofter use a standard formation: They attack in waves, with the recruits and other low-ranked members first, then the journeymen, then the veterans. They deploy as such to use the recruits to weaken and tire the enemy while preserving the lives of veteran operators... Then the veterans sweep in and easily clear out the warped and weakened enemy.
    Do'Gurka
    The Do'Gurka, the Canopy Skirmishers, are the Military's main scouting force, but also participate in combat, throwing javelins and firing arrows from the canopy of the forest. The Gurka will recon areas ahead of the Warband and make sure that they are not being flanked, as well as scouting out targets for an attack.
    Ranks
    Spotter: The spotter is the entry-level rank of the Gurka, but is treated as a mid-level operative by others. They spend their time roaming the forrests in order to know exactly where a threat could appear, as well as scouting ahead of the Warband in order to keep them steered in the right direction.
    Requirements to jojn
    Skill: Apprentice in ranged combat, Apprentice in scouting/recond, apprentice in stealth, journeyman in parkour (running the treetops)
    Vanguard: The Vanguards are veteran operatives that can easily sneak past all but the most keen of enemies. They are exceptionally talented at their job of gaining information where others cannot, and use their superior senses almost to the point of knowing where the enemy is even if they havn't shown themselves.
    Requirement for rank-up
    Skill: Expert in ranged combat, scouting/recon, stealth, parkour
    Precursor (Do'Gurki): The Precursors are the most experienced of the Gurka, and they use their experience to lead the entire group. They work with the leaders of the Warband in order to keep each others' members safer... (whoever leads the Gurka has my permission to write out better lore behind them...)
    Requirements to rank-up
    Skill: Master in ranged combat, scouting/recon, stealth, parkour
    -note, whoever gets the post gets to write up some lore and more info on this group-
    Do'Kuta
    The Do'Kuta... Not much is known of them to the common Kharajyr, except for the fact that they are the true creatures of the night in their race. The Do'Kuta are recruited secretly from only the best killer amongst the hordes of hunters and soldiers in Kharajyr land, and they continue to show prowess through their service to the Tlatlanni and the Tultelkos. Some of the members are said to be nothing but shadows and ghosts when in the jungle...
    Ranks
    Hunter: The Hunters are as their name imply. They are the best of the best hunters of the wilds that have extensive knowledge of ambushing and trapping prey. The hunters will often work in groups to whittle down enemy troops from the shadows, and are quite efficient in it...
    Requirement to join
    Skills: Expert in stealth, Expert in parkour, Expert in general combat --- Special: can only be recruited by the Tlatlanni and the Tultelkos.
    Stalker: The Stalkers are a cut above the hunters, and are much more deadly. They work in pairs to kill and capture their enemy one by one while the others still lie unaware...
    Requirements to rank
    Skills: Master in stealth, parkour, general combat.
    Predator (3 at one time) The Predators are, quite simply, the true killers of the jungle... Moving quickly and unseen through the forest, the Predators quickly massacre their enemies... The Predators have become notorious for operating alone... And by going into a jungle full of threats and coming out only with hunting trophies.
    Requirement to rank
    Special: after they gain ample experience, a Stalker that wishes to take a Predator's spot must challenge them... During the challenge, both competitors are released on opposite ends of the jungle and are to hunt each other down, then either kill or knock each other unconcious... He who stands victorious claims the position.
    Dra'Metza
    The Dra'Metza, or Moonblades, is an organisation shrouded in mystery from the common Kharajyr. Adorned in their lavish golden armour they answer to none but the Tlanlanni himself. Their tasks include guarding the Emperor as well as leading troops into battle. The black face mask the Dra'Metza adorn signifies their oath to silence whilst on guard in the Emperor's defence. It is unknown how many there are in this secretive sect but estimates range from 3-8. Each has sworn an oath to the Tlanlanni and the Tlanlanni alone, to die in his service if needs be. Each Dra'Metza has risen to the title through proving their prowess in battle. The finest warrior among them is known as the Dra'Metzir - the leader of the Dra'Metza.
    The group is held in high respect for their fine skills throughout the Empire. Although many of their duties are kept secret from the majority of the population, they are known to partake in war council when the time comes. It is common in times of war that the Tlanlanni will gift the Tultelkos (Military Aelkos) command over a number of Dra'Metza to serve as captains for a limited time.
    Although the Dra'Metza's face mask signifies silence whilst guarding the Emperor (unless addressed directly by him), they are able to talk freely when not on duty and are not required to wear the mask at this time.
    Recruiting: Many children are elected to be taken from their parents before they even reach adulthood to be trained in the ways of the Dra'Metza, and when they have trained long enough and have come of age, they will serve none but the Tlatlanni... There are rumors that they are brainwashed into having an undying and unshakable loyalty to the Tlatlanni, to the point thay they would lay down their lives without a second thought.
    Champions from the Warband may also be recruited into the Moonblades, but only if they had performed Exceptionally well in their time with the Warband.
    In order for a moonblade to claim the title of Dra'Metzir and to be the head of the Moonblades, they must either duel the reigning Dra'Metzir, or if there is none, they must fight in a tournement that includes all of the Moonblades as combatants, where the winner takes the spot.
    ~this is merely a beta (posting with Ipad, so there are bound to be spelling errors), and this page is to be used as an info hub, where you all can give your ideas and opinions. There will be an application page shortly. Will also add pretty colors and change the layout when I get back to a pc :D~
