oh yeah but wat bout battlemages? (yes like in elder scrolls 4) they are masters of offensive magic and swords etc meaning theyre an all out killing machine. once leveled anyway

I think there should be specific areas that once entered stop all magic from being used. That means that you have to attack with swords and arrows. These areas could then become very valuable to certain races that don't like magic as much or that want a safe haven from magic. I actually got the idea from Robert Jordans' Wheel of Time series where these areas are called Stedding.

If the academy isn't built yet I would love to just help out free of charge. If it is done i would still love to just help as yeah I need a purpose on this server otherwise im just going to leave and I don't want to.

As to the problem with the lag, I was thinking could something be acting like a hub instead of a switch or router thus causing unnecessary data traffic and slowing things down?

What kind?: Well I know that it involves playing out your classes life in a way that makes sense. That is not building a castle if you are a farmer and such. Also if you somehow got info of something out of game about the game you cant use this as the character that you are playing didn't hear/see it. I often find myself choosing role-playing games over FPS games as I like the control and longevity. As to what kind, I have played many many different RPGs. They were the first to be drawn into the earth and flourish, to inhabit and shape what no other race could. Now they are coming from the furthest regions to the north, were the temperature freezes those caught away from the great fire lakes solid via rebirth from the gods. It is customary for the eldest son to be set out of the clan as a means of spreading they're influence. This is Tharins mission. To gather as many followers as possible until all dwarfs in Aegis are united under 1 clan that will pour forward like the hordes of Hel to claim supremacy of all that can be claimed. From the heights of the elven city Laurelin to the vast depths that hold the riches of the world.
