    The weeks went on and not a day would go by without the sound of chisel against stone in the mali'ker settlement. Dak'ir cut, smoothed, and carved stone. His brother Dak'res toiled over designs for their structures before constructing them himself. Alakagh and Jayce worked the mines, hauling what they could from the depths below. Little by little, day by day, their home grew. Taynuel shaped and weaved the trees around their stone homes. He grew them high to further shelter the dark elves and make sure they hadn't intruded too much on nature. From all around did the mali'ker flock. To most, a chance to be among their kin was their drive. Whilt to others, a desire to learn of their culture and the Ancestors. Whatever the reason, it brought a weary smile to Dak'ir as he watched them gather at Xyusne's tavern each night to exchange tales.
    It was a new beginning for the mali'ker, a new place to call home and move on from their past on Ker'nor. And most importantly, a chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of their Ancestors.

    Gone were the days of Ker'nor. For now, they stood tall and proud in their new home of Ebonglade.

    Dak'ir's fingers tap against his staff as he stands at the edge of his settlement's gardens. His eyes turn from his mate as she does her gardening and lay eastward, the direction he swore that the elder high elf had always wandered from when he'd pop up in Raven's forest. He smiled wearily, thinking back to a time when elves lived in relative peace together. Despite constant tensions, he did somewhat miss the old days of enjoying a cup of Iat's tea and conversing with Lucion in Annil'sul.

    He shakes his head dismissively. "Gone are those days." He mumbles under his breath.

    Instead he thinks back to a few days earlier, when he caught Lucion skittering through the trees the first time...

    Dak'ir scoffs. "He actually hissed at me." He chuckles quietly, watching Lielle pull a weed from a patch of orchids.

    But then yet again just recently he returned, asking Dak'ir to bring a letter to Phaedrus. 'Of course. Out of my respect for you.' And so he did. Then Phaedrus asked to arrange a meeting. 'Of course. For the sake of my honour.'  Dak'ir's eyes turn to the ground as he mulls over the thoughts in his mind over and over again. He jolts as a hand touches his cheek, eye's snapping to Lielle before he sighs and lets out a half-hearted chuckle.

    He takes her hand, leading her home for the evening. "Have I ever told you about a high elf named Lucion, love? An interesting and odd fellow. Perhaps you'll meet him if he visits again... I think you'd like him."

    P.S. I will most likely keep to myself should I be accepted, problems in the past have shown clearly that it is best I do so. I seek only a quiet place to hone my smithing, study my books, and relax away from the petty squabbles of Vailor.

    Being an old friend, you will be accepted for an interview with myself, my brother, and my son. The three of us will ask a few critical questions and decide from there.

    Forged in the strife of the Fringe wars, The Div'cruan were created many years ago to protect the Mali'ker and their homes within Ker'lomi. Their duty is first and foremost to their people and the Ancestors.

    The old order makes it's return to protect it's people and their allies as well as educate the populace on culture of their people.

    As their name entails, they are to show no pain and no fear when they meet their enemy. The Mali'ker are a passionate people but we must not let passion get in the way of our duty, for passion may lead to bloodlust. You must be devoid of feeling, just as Onyx is devoid of light. There is no joy in killing, there is no disdain in it either. Killing is simply a method to keep the Mali'ker safe. Nothing more, nothing less - Nothing.

    Similar to the Archons, the Div'cruan are to show unwavering dedication to the Ancestors. Teaching the populace of how to venerate and honour them as well as maintaining any shrines dedicated to them.

    Ranks

    *              *

    Aspirant

    These are the bulk of the Mali'ker forces. Their duty is to follow the orders given to them by their superiors, protect their home, and uphold the ways of the Ancestors adamantly.

    Vindicator

    These mali'ker have been promoted by either a hierarch for outstanding duty. Their job is to moderate and oversee the initiates as well as conduct Ancestral teachings for Aspirants.

    Hierarch

    A rank given only to a select few veteran Div’cruan who have displayed outstanding devotion to the people and the Ancestors. These are the commanders of the mali'ker troops. Tasked with issuing orders to the soldiers and handing down orders from the . Their word is to be followed to the letter.

    Test of faith
     *                  *
    When a recruit completes his training and they are ready to become an aspirant, they must undergo a simple test of faith. Vindicators or even a Hierarch will bestow a task onto them that they see will best prove the recruit. These tasks can differ depending on which Vindicator or Hierarch that decided and at times these tasks may even be quite dangerous.

    The Ancestral Pledge

    *                                   *

    All mali'ker who complete their tests of faith must utter this pledge before becoming an aspirant.

    I, ___, swear upon my life to uphold the honor of my loved ones lost. My life is devoted to furthering the mali'ker in all forms. I do not seek sin, I seek the love of my Ancestors. I do not seek glory, the glory is theirs. I do not seek riches, coin is meaningless in the Astral Plane. If I stray from the path and into that of the barbarian then I relinquish my life and accept that I may never dwell with our blessed.

    Do you accept that in joining this order you may at times be tasked with taking the life of another mali’ker?

    Do you accept that under particular circumstances you may be removed from the order?

    And under serious enough terms, executed?

    Do you accept that we are not fanatics? And that should a mali'ker refuse to accept the Ancestors (Provided what they believe is wholesome) that we shall do no harm to them?

  5. Jonas bribed me to plus one this so +1

    Real talk though. Jonas is charismatic and friendly. Just an overall easy going guy. He doesn't shy away from helping people and is always there when you need him. If you're looking for someone who you can depend on, then it's this guy right here.

  6. Oh snizity snap. I had no idea this went up! Just want to say thanks again for the interview and the awesome art. It was really flattering! Also thank you to Siri and jolly Jonas. But of course a big ol' suck it to Ski.

    I'd also like to take this moment to put up a service announcement reminding everyone to stay funky and fly.

  7. It was late in the evening when Gorgron visited the goi. A feuruk and a gobo were speaking outside one of their tents on the other side of the courtyard. Gorgron shook his head at the sight of the goi being empty another night. He continued onward into the goi's forge area and found himself a tanning rack to make a new water skin before making his way to depart the city once again.

    But it was at the gates that he ran into Grothmar, Wargoth of the Gorkil clan and one of Gorgron's friends. Accompanying Grothmar was a bright faced youngling named Gorbag, his face beaming with pride as he lugged a boar over his shoulder. After introductions Gorgron learnt that Gorbag was in the middle of his Gorkil trials and well on the way to becoming a new grunt in the Gorkil warmachine. Grothmar then invited Gorgron to join them in a feast and of course, Gorgron accepted. Grothmar called out the the feuruk who's name Gorgron learnt to be Yertub'Lur and the gobo, Duxt'Raguk.

    What ensued was a night of laughter, tales, food, and some good old fashioned fighting. From Gorbag tossing the boar into the open bonfire an attempt to cook it to Gorgron and Grothmar breaking each others faces open. As their night went on, more uruks joined them and Gorgron grinned with pride to see his people gather in merriment instead of just raiding. He looked upon Gorbag, now a bit bruised and battered from the nights festivities, and saw a bit of hope for the next generation.

    Spoiler

    Felt like making a post after the events of last night with running around the city and the arena and having some pretty damn fun rp. As well as introducing a new orc to the funner side of the orcish rp world. Hopefully some more of this happens around the city.

    The territory of Ker'nor is the mali'ker settlement located due east of Laureh'lin and as such falls under its law and restrictions. Only under rare circumstances may a non mali'ker reside within the town. Homes will be provided and taxes are not required, though work and assistance is always apprecitaed.
