Then why do we use minecraft as our base and not say just a forum? We clearly want some sort of minecraft influence on the server.

It was Availer's original goal to make Minecraft just a platform and LoTC a game people wanted to play.

However, this will only be reachable as soon as that modding API comes out (I think ^^)

Using MC as a base seems to me, as a simple platform to stand the Might of LOTC upon. I feel we have enough lore, RP, and all sorts of things, to remove us from the base of MC, that we can be classified as our own game. You know those mods, for say Morrowind, or Skyrim, the ones that completely change the story, the world, quests, everything? That is what we are for MC
