  1. DENIED.

'He gets very weak when he is cold and hates to lose (he is going to rage)', please add more detailed and explained weaknesses then those. Definitions wrong. Ambitions are a bit too much. Try to tone those done. Maybe add some more lore to your bio. Please do not use emoticons in your IC-Section.

    Thanks for applying!

Feel-free to reapply 24 hours from this post.

Hello, new prospective and player of Lord of the Craft! I'll be your Application Team slave for the evening. In this guide, I'll be outlining how to play a villain as a new character.

Now, as you're about to join this server, take a moment to think about why you wish to play as a Villain(And HOW!) once you're here. Do you want to be the one antagonizing folks on the roads? Do you want to provide roleplay for others in cities? Beyond that, think of what type of villain you'd like to be in bounds. In a roleplaying server, there are many fields of opportunity.

I'll give you some basic things to remember and think about before beginning your roleplay as a villain.

    • Remember that you're a conduit for roleplay, both for yourself, and more so for others. Try to uphold quality as best you can in this vein.
    • Do you want to play a decrepit old mage who uses his magics to stir up trouble? Do you want to play a moronic, barely intelligent Ork who waves around a club like a character with 1 Charisma in D&D? Thing deeply about HOW you want to play, before you get into it.
    • Most of all, remember that you are no better than other players OOC. While you play as a villainous character, try your best to maintain things for everyone.
    • Go with what happens in roleplay. If you are someone who prefers RP fighting, prepare for PVP fighting as well, and vice versa. Try to maintain enjoyment for those who are playing with you.

    What's in a Villain?

In many popular medias, there are villains which are iconic to us. I'll give an example of a few, and some archetypes they fit into.

    • The Pantomime Mustached Mastermind. E.g: The Master, from the television series Doctor Who. This character has a tendency to be very intelligent, but his goals are cloudy. Try to avoid this archetype, but if you believe you can do it right, go for it.
    • The 'Antihero'. E.G: Most of the Characters on Game of Thrones that aren't exemptly evil. These characters do 'evil deeds', but tend to maintain their own moral standards, or work toward what they perceive to be the ends, or the greater good. This is a good starting point for a character, and a popular one.
    • The Fallen Mage/Demon/Paladin/Cleric. E.G: Arthas Menethil, The Lich King. This character started out as an ordinary one, one of good heart and conscious, but slowly deteriorated to evil. It normally holds no regard for life, and is very much so a 'black' figure. This is to be done well, or not at all, as it is hard to do so. Not recommended for a beginning roleplayer!

    Interaction with the World

When you play Lord of the Craft, there are a few bare things to remember about being a villain and a provider of roleplay that you should abide at all times, besides those I listed above.

    • The person on the other side of the screen is a human being. They spent their time and energy logging in, to enjoy themselves.
    • If the person does not seem to be interested in being antagonized, or just generally seems like they'd make a fuss if they were, try to avoid confrontation, and be respectful of their opinion and wishes to avoid conflict.
    • You've just started on this server. Reconsider playing a villain initially. Let the villainy grow like plantlife, gradually, not abruptly. Develop your character.
    • Again, I'll reiterate: Stay humble!
    • Try your best!

That's all, folks! Enjoy the game!

  3. ((Unless this was Urasept on the only remaining bloodmage character related to the Dread Knights the Bloodmage referred to here is not related nor has the powers/abilities used to created the first Dreadknights in the first place.))

((Was Swgr's bloodmage, nor did any part of the post claim that this was one of your blood mages. I can't imagine a Dread Knight would realize the difference.))

Darkness encroached the forest as the two figures approached the center. A small circular clearance in the otherwise clouded overgrowth was their meeting place. None spoke for a time, and it was only the poetic rambling of the Mortal Man which shook the beginning of diplomacy: “I know that in the past your kind has faced atrocities, persecution--” It went on in a vein such as this, scarce mentions came about of Blood Magic in cloudy verse, until at last the armor spoke in interruption, and advanced a step, his voiced billowed out from the clearance.

“NO PHILOSOPHY. NO MALICE. NO RIDDLES. SPEAK NOW, MORTAL, YOU’RE ARGUING FOR LIFE!”

The smaller figure interrupted his speech, and held a finger at his collar. before the truth came out in rise. “I've come to broker peace.” The Armor grunted, and stepped forward, the smaller man not speaking: “Who are you to broker peace for Draoi?” There was a pause, for a moment, until it spoke. “Prophet of the Archdragon, Wrought of Crimson.” It was all it took. The armor erupted, it’s helmet twitched and shook as it begin to roar out:

“YOU FILTH DARE APPROACH US? DARE ATTEMPT TO RECONCILE THE PAST? YOU DARE TO PRESUME?!”

The ground behind the Mage rifted, splintered, rose a few inches off the ground in the darkness.

The Darkness grew deeper, almost as though it took notice as Tensions rose. The Blood Mage, once again, began to speak, and this time in perfect clarity: "You've faced persecution in the past, good lord..but not by us. We seek to reconcile." The Knight, once again, erupted, though this time in a slightly deteriorated anger: "RECONCILE!? YOU ENSLAVED US! YOU STOLE OUR SOULS!" The Blood Mage, intermittent through the Knights' rambling, once again spoke, "That was not us, but our predecessors. The Knight stopped his speech, and looked down, before speaking now in a more composed nature.

    "Plead your case, Mage."

The Forest of Fiandria seemed to go silent as the Knight spoke those words, and the Blood Mage began, in words almost like a whisper, unheard. All that happened next went with the nod of the Dread Lord, and after a moment, it lifted it's gauntlet. The other man took it, shaking the Dread Lord's hand. The Knight, abruptly in the middle of the handshake, pulled the Man toward himself with extreme strength, hoisting him up feet off the ground, and whispering in his ear. The Dread Lord threw the man to the ground in front of himself, and said one last word audibly: "Don't make me regret this."

One phrase, in the mind of the Dreadlord, echoed out, and seemed to gnaw at him as he made his way back to Embermoor, one word which had been spoken and recalled by all Knights in terror before him, and it was this.

    Remember Lythien.

The circular clearance, soon after, once again turned to silence. The silence was overarching, not the animals of the forest nor the thrush of the autumn leaves settled it. It was a meeting to be recalled in history, and yet still, the forest fell into the dark.
