Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, but would have loved to.
How old are you?: 27
Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Finland GTM +2
Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:
English is not my native language, but feel that I’m quite good at it. I can’t say that I’m fluent. Usually I keep making typos when I try to write fast. But I think I can manage.
Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:
I’m 27 year old university student. I work part time in a little warehouse and I go to the gym 2 times a week with my friends. Gaming has been a big part of my life always. For the last year Minecraft has been the big thing in my gaming.
How much time could you be on the server weekly?:
I think I can get something like 3 to 5 hour weekly. I’m quite busy at the moment but tend to cut down my gaming more than I need when I’m busy.
What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:
I have some roleplaying experience from pen and paper games like Dungeons and Dragons and G.U.R.P.S. Roleplaying is getting into character. You create a new person and a personality in the game and you view the happenings and event of the game through the eyes of that person. The roleplaying is in your actions and reaction to the world, not in the rolls of the dices. In the game you must separate what you know and what your character knows. Many times this is harder than it sounds
In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.
Metagaming means that you use information from outside the game that your character could not otherwise know for in game purposes. In roleplaying you should try to avoid it as much as you can even if it doesn’t seem to help your character.
Powergaming means that you artificially try to boost you character a way that is not roleplaying or is not in character. You could say that you powergame when you try to raise a lot of skills to as high as you can with out the being a roleplay reason for it. Or skilling as fast as you can by doing a simply task over and over again only to gain skillpoints. Also overpowering your action so that other players can’t react to the can be considered as powergaming.
What do you expect this server will be like?:
I expect this server to be awesome. What I have read from the forum this server is everything I have been looking for. Good roleplay with good community compared with “aftergaming” in the forum. With the Aegis 2.0 coming it sound even more exiting. At the same time I understand that the fun is all up to me. The playing is going to be as fun as I make it. I don’t expect other people to make it fun for me I think it’s going to be fun with those other people.
What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:
I have played on Buxville for 5 -6 months. I left them last September because I was really busy with my studies and the server was going to a direction that I did not like. The were adding too much stuff and everything was broken all the time. Also I wanted more from my gaming. I wanted roleplaying.
Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:
Yes I have. I especially like the combat rules that incorporates roleplay into combat situations. And I also like the idea that you can steal some stuff in chest found in the wilderness but not all. It adds the need to hide your stuff if you live in the wild. Also the villain application is a great idea.
How did you hear about us?: I found you in Minestatus. The server was the highest scoring RP server on the list when I was looking a new server to join.
Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes I have and my number was 1158. I think.

Character Name: Rashaz Mordak
What is your Race?: Cave Dwarf
Biography(This should include the history of your character
I was born in a little mining community beneath a mountain up north. We lived a humble life of the working dwarf. My youth was secure because we were a little community so we didn’t attract too much attention. My early childhood days were filled with playing with other children my age. As I got older my mother made sure that I got my education so my days got filled exercises of how to read and write and with stories of the history of our great race.
After my father felt that I had got the education that I needed he took me to the mines to learn the true ways of our people. At first the days in the mines were long and hard but quickly my body got used to it and I learned to like the steady pounding of the pick axe in the dimly lighted tunnels of the mine. Some times we would pierce to a natural gave and got a change to learn how to use an axe because there would always be something lurking in the damp darkness of the cave.
Our family consisted of me, my sister Frinu and our mother Phaeil and father Durur. Our uncle Borovak was the trader for our little town and he would occasionally travel to other town to get supplies and other stuff that we could not make ourselves. He would tell stories to me and my sister of the different places that he had visited. He had ones even seen the great hall of Kal’Urguan. My sister’s eyes would always light up when listening to these stories.
She got the idea in her head that see has to see the world that our little community wasn’t enough. So she kept asking our parents if she could go with our uncle to one of his trips. Finally our parent let my sister to go. After she came back she was never the same. The wall of our little community felt even closer than before and she felt like a caged animal.
Years went by and life was more or less the same. I had started working part time at the blacksmiths shop to repair our few tools that we had so we could save some minases for a rainy day.
During my long days in the deep mines a feeling had started to grow in the back of my head. It get telling me the this is not everything that I was meant to be. It told me that I was meant to do something more. I tried to shake of the feeling but it kept coming back when I was alone with only the sound of my pick hitting the rock wall as my company. Only my sense of loyalty and duty toward my parents get me from leaving.
As my mother took ill it made leaving even that much harder. We did the best to take care of her. But money was short because the rich veins of ore under us were growing thinner. Doing his best to make end meat, father spends longer and longer days down at the mine. That was what got him at the end. Tired from a long day of work he failed to notice the growing tension on the rock above him. It only took few hit from his pick and he was buried under tons of falling rock. There was nothing anybody could do.
After our father died my sister could not stay any longer. She left me alone to take care of our sick mother. After that life was hard. I never forgive her for leaving us. I heard from our uncle that she had gone to live with our tree loving cousins the forest dwarfs. A decision I could not understand.
Mother lived for another winter. When the first leaves came she passed away. I had nothing more to keep me there and I felt that it was my time to find out what is to become of me. So I packed my humble belongings and said farewell to my few friends.
For the first time in my life I left the safety of our little mountain home. I drifted around the land of Aegis trying to find my place in the world.
One night in a tavern trying to sink my worries to pint of good dwarven ale I remembered the stories of my uncle from the great city of Kal’Urguan. At that moment I decided that that is where I need to go to find out what fate has in stored for me. But first my journey shall take me to the Cloud Temple of Aegis and its Grand Library to maybe find some guidance and answers to help me on my journey.
At the age of 312 I reach the steps of the Temple. Looking at the falling streams of water and lava I feel that my life has just begun.
Appearance: Rashaz has long dark brown beard and hair. Both are carefully braded and cared for. No sign of age can be found on his hair and beard. They are both think and strong. His skin dark and his eyes have a golden tint to them. Working in the mines has made his body strong and muscular. Little groves have started to form around his eyes that he carries with bride as a mark for that he is no longer a young dwarf.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?
Swiftly he asses the situation and sees that the elf is in dire need of help against the two bandits. Having no special liking for the tree loving elves and forest dwarves who took his sisters heart all those years ago he find that he feels sorry for the struggling elf. He knows that life isn’t easy and two against one is just cowardly and inglorious.
“Oe ye two!! Leave that elf alone or ye ganna have a taste of ma axe! The two bandits startle of the new opponent who is not clearly afraid of them. Hastily the weight they weight their options and decide to see it through. “Come at it, Dwarf! Let’s see what you got!” the other human shouts raising his sword. “Oo ye just made a big mistake there laddie” Rashaz replies.
He easily blocks the humans first few swings with his axe and when he sees an opening he takes it. The last standing human sees that the tides are turned against him and decides to flee.
Grunting towards the fleeing human Rashaz has no interest to give chase so hi kneel beside the corpse and takes the dead mans purse. “Oe lad ye need this more than me” He throws the purse to the elf. “Thank you, noble dwarf! How can I ever repay you?”, the elf replies. “Ye got it all wrong laddie. It was just ye lucky day.”, he replies. When walking away he thinks to himself what made him help that elf. He remembers a time when he would just had left the elf for the bandits. “Must be getting soft” he thinks as he walks away.
Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?
“Good day to ye two, sir. What a fine blacksmith shop ye have here. I met these two bandits out in the woods the other day and me axe got a little dull from the encounter. So how much for a little repair on the ol’ faithful?” The blacksmith takes and examines the old axe. “What a fine weapon you have. I think we can get her in shape again. It is 50minas and will only take a moment” the blacksmith replies. “Sound a fair deal to me. Make her shine” Rashaz replies with a smile. The blacksmith takes the axe to a big grindstone and starts working on it. At the mean time Rashaz has the time to check out the shop and sees a nice looking helmet. “All done” says the blacksmith. “Like brand new” Rashaz admires the craftsmanship. “Anything else I can help with?” asks the blacksmith. “No thank ye. I might come and pickup the nice helmet later if I stay in Al’Khazar for a day or two. Have a good day” Rashaz replies. “I’ll keep it for you for few days. Just in case. And good day to you to sir.” Rashaz walks out of the shop pleased with his now much sharper axe.
