With such, alertness was increased around the Capital, and patrols more frequent. It was a black day, his corronation, but his duty demanded he continue his father's work. All efforts he had made would not be in vain, and the time of Prussia was nigh. Turning upon his heel, the King walked with purpose to his Privy Chamber, to meet with his advising staff, and to receive diplomats and messages deemed important.

It is the Third Century of the First Age. The year is 1E 266, and the Aeylid overlords have been overthrown by the Empress Alessia. With her passing into Atherium, the Amulet of Kings was granted to her prior by Akatosh himself. She was named the First Saint of the Eight Divines, and the Nedic peoples, those who are men, mourn her passing. As the Elder Council move to elect Belharza the Man-Bull, something goes amiss. Aeylid soldiers supported by their distant kin of the Altmer, the High Elves, attack the Elder Council and slay the would-be Emperor in cold blood, with all of the Elder Council. The Amulet of Kings is lost, a young boy who was present was given the Amulet, thrust into his hands by a bloodied and broken Councilor whose dying energy was keeping it from the Elves.

The Empire is in ruins, and the world is in Chaos. Alinor is halved by chaos and brother is beset upon by brother, the Redguard in constant war and the Bretons content with their petty wars of hills. Only the Dunmer in Morrowind stay silent, content in the bitter wars against each other, the Great Houses waging bloody war over dominance. The Nords are cut from Atmora as well, leaving behind their kin in hopes of a new life.

Kings will rise and Overlords fall. Chaos will ensue and the world will not be the same.

The King Tulius had been crowned King in the wake of the death of the Empire. The Heartlands alone remained now, the other provinces being cut deep by Ayelid forces or internal threats, while petty rivalries held at bay previously were now turned to full fledged wars.

The Legion, however, stayed loyal. The finest men and women in all Cyrodiil and possibly the world, if such things were to be believed. And for their loyalty, they were granted the chance for glory and honor. The King had decreed hereforth that those lands which have decided to fracture the once great Empire are toswear fealty to their proper liege, or face the wrath of the Legions. As a gesture of force, the Legions embark ships and cross the channel where they began reclaiming border fortresses, cities and towns for the Kingdom, and with hope and luck and an endless supply of blood sweat and tears, perhaps an Empire again.
