  1. Sad that only VIPs get towns

    1. Antharin

      Antharin

It's actually fair, there's less towns due to that.

  2. I am a goblin in game and I was just having problems finding out how many goblins there are exactly. I've gotten varying numbers from 2-10. I was thinking of doing something, but I would need to know how many goblins there are still active to proceed. If you're a goblin I would appreciate it if you replied.
  3. Thank you both of you. I try my best. :) And yes, if you want to, you are more than welcome to use my app as an example. Edit: I felt the need to thank both of you more. No one has really praised my writing before. So, thank you, thank you, thank you.
  4. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Dredcor Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No and no. How old are you?: 17 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: EST Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I enjoy playing games and reading books. The games vary widely, from Call of Duty and Madden to Minecraft and Diablo, but the books are mostly fantasy or scifi fantasy. I am slightly lazy, but when I find something I really like I work hard at it. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Anywhere from ten to forty hours a week. It depends on how much I like the server. What do you know about Roleplaying? What is it?: Roleplaying is the act of acting out the actions of a character in a story. The story is sometimes has more rigid guidelines, like you have to save the princess, but you get to decide how you do it, and some have less rigid guidelines. The less rigid roleplaying stories you usually make up as you go. such as I just got to the tower that the princess lives in, now I can save her and take her back to her parents, kidnap her and demand ransom, or sacrifice her to unholy gods (Yipee! Unholy gods!). In both of these example stories you can only act on knowledge your character would have, such as, I probably don't know that the princess is actually a dragon in disguise that will eat me. I have a small amount (really tiny, like 10 hours worth) of roleplaying experience from D&D, but I moved shortly after I started playing and haven't been able to find another group of people to play with. In Minecraft I used to play on a Minecraft RP server called Iron Storm, but there were server host issues and it shut down. I played on that server for 3 or 4 weeks. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when roleplaying you use information that you know, but your character would not, in game, usually to give yourself an edge. Powergaming is basically going straight for diamonds. You ignore everything else the game has to offer and go straight for the end. So, in roleplaying it would be to ignore the story and rping with people so you can get that diamond sword or pickaxe. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think that it will be a good server I can play on with minimal griefing or trolling. I think that the admins and mods will be professional and fair without being cold tyrants. I think that there will be some amount of adjustment for me to get used to possibly different rp styles. I think that it will feel like a new world to explore and possibly fight through while keeping the friendly air that Minecraft has. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Desolation: server hosting problems. Shut down. Iron Storm: server hosting problems. Shut down. Killion: Got bored of the prison server feel and decided to go back to RP. Various other servers that I left for various reasons. The ones mentions specifically are the most prominent servers that I can remember. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes How did you hear about us?: A search on Minecraftforum.net Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes. I don't know. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Dredcor In-Character: Character Name: Drakin What is your Race?: Orc Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Drakin was born as a small frail child, even for a goblin. Drakin first grew up with his parents. They were harsh parents, they thought that he was slow. At the age of 4 he could still not speak. His parents decided that Drakin was not worth there time. They abandoned him. Fortunately, they were in the city and soon enough a kind elder orc woman found him. She was a nomad named Shetra. He grew up under her care always working extra hard to please her so that she would not abandon him like his first parents. It had not been evident at the time, because he could not speak, but Drakin had an extraordinary memory. He could remember every moment of his life like it had happened only a moment ago. He quickly learned to speak, write and read after being taken in by Shetra. He taught himself how to read and write. He got the materials he needed for this by stealing them from the towns they stopped at. When he finished teaching himself he immediately went to show Shetra. Shetra was proud of Drakin for learning to read and write, but when she asked him where he got the books and papers she became furious. She told him that stealing is a horrible thing to do. The next time they stopped at the towns she made Drakin work of the debt he had made by stealing. After he had worked off his last debt they left the town. The sandstorm came up suddenly. Not even the shamans that were with them could calm it. During the raging storm Drakin was separated from the rest of the group. He was tossed around by the unforgiving winds for what seemed like hours before he finally fell into unconsciousness. When he awoke all he felt and saw was the boiling sun above him and the blistering ground beneath him. He wandered in the desert for days. Each day his bitterness and anger grew. Shetra had abandoned him! It was just like his first parents, only this time he would likely die. On the sixth day he saw a plain with trees. And a lake! He wasn't in the desert anymore. He slowly stumbled towards the water. When he stopped in front of it he almost tumbled in, but managed to keep his balance. He slowly knelt down and gulped water from the lake,, trying to quench his seemingly endless thirst. He drank so much he threw up several times. After he was done drinking he looked around himself. It appeared that he had left the orcish lands of the desert and found his way to the plains and valleys of the humans. He saw a village in the distance and decided that his best chance to survive lay in that village. This was only the first time the word survive crossed Drakin's mind. However, it would be far from the last time. When he entered the town he was greeted by curiosity and reserved hostility. Curiosity because they had never seen a orc this small before and hostility because they had recently been attacked by a band of orcish bandits. For a while the villagers left Drakin alone. He scavenged what he could to survive, but never stole. Shetra's lesson about stealing was seared into Drakin's mind and he would never steal again. A few weeks after Drakin had arrived at the village a traveling man showed up. Apparently he was a trader. He went where he pleased selling leather, tools, and small trinkets whenever he could. The man noticed Drakin scavenging and immediately walked over to him. He looked down at this small orc and asked him his name. Drakin, though wary, gave his name to the stranger. The trader knelt down, looked Drakin the face, told him his name was Fren, and asked him if he would like to come with him. Drakin thought about it and decided that his chances of survival were higher with this man than with in the semi-hostile village. Drakin and the trader talked rarely at first, but over time their conversations grew in number. The trader politely avoided asking Drakin of his past as he could see the young orc was scarred. The trader taught Drakin how to bargain, cook food, read maps, repair tools, and speak eloquently. Many years passed with Drakin accompanying the trader, all through this time Drakin always thought of Fren only as "The Trader". One day, when Drakin was 16, the trader sent Drakin out to collect wood for a fire. When Drakin came back, before he got too close to the camp, he heard other voices. He slowly crept up and saw that there were bandits robbing the trader. One of the bandits pushed the trader down onto his knees and raised his blade. Drakin thought carefully on what was happening. The bandits had sword, but we do not. There are 6 bandits, but only 2 of us. Drakin decided that he had a better chance to survive if he left the trader. With that thought, Drakin turned his back on the clearing and walked away as he heard the sound of blade cutting flesh behind him. Drakin is now 20 years old. He is still very small, likely never to grow larger than four feet. He cares nothing for his dark-green skin. He does not think of himself as an orc or a goblin, but as a survivor. He is angry and bitter, thinking only of himself. He relies on no one else and always thinks situations through and picks the action with the best chance of survival for himself. For that is what he wants: Only to survive. Your characters ambitions: To survive and to survive. That is all he wants.
