Hope you hang around! there's lots to see!

  2. As per instructions I waited two days to resubmit. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Trublhappn Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: Yes I did! It was epic. How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: PST -8:00 Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: My syntax and diction are sufficiently advanced from that of my peers. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I've run servers, been admin, been hero and villain, I love minecraft enough to drive three hundred miles and spend a couple hundred dollars to visit minecon, but when push comes to shove, it's not my life, I have a full time job, college, and a dozen other things to do. My priorities are in order and I'm a fairly well grounded individual. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: It depends, I currently do not have internet at my house, I am planning on rectifying this but I just moved in and it's going to take a while, but I do visit my friend's house where I take merciless advantage of her alienware. What do you know about Roleplaying? What is it?: Definition: The acting out of a particular role, either consciously or unconsciously, in accordance with the perceived expectations of society with... Roleplaying is the ability to be hero or villain, Human or some Other, be a saint or an assassin, and forget that the rest of the world exists for a few hours. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is using outside information to affect your in-game information. For example, knowing that BobTheEnemy is having a rough patch with his girlfriend and using that information to provoke him by making pixel art of her in his house in order to break him down and steal his everything. Powergaming is focusing on a goal, in my case usually world domination, to the exclusion of all else, including RP, Friends, what have you. What do you expect this server will be like?: Fun? What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've played my own, hydrocitygaming, Hardcore PvPers and a few others that I didn't spend enough time on to remember. I left them because I couldn't afford to run my own any more and I was bored with HydroCity and PvPers I wanted something more. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Indeed How did you hear about us?: MineCon Exhibition booth. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Not yet, I was thinking about it possibly. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Trublhappn. In-Character: Character Name: You may call me Thitopher MoonShooter What is your Race?: "Have you no eyes? Do I seem short enough to be a dwarf or fat enough to be an orc? Mayhaps I could pass for an elf if my ears were longer, what sort of fool question are you asking when any man can tell I'm Human." Biography: "Once, when I was a young man, younger even than I am now, I was body servant to Greatness Krull. Not that he was actually great mind you, that was simply the title that the Orcs of the Wild named the chief of this particular tribe." the man's mouth twists in a bitter smile, "At that time I was more innocent of the world than I am now. I had thought that Kohban was the biggest city in the world, that their dirt homes were mansions. I thought Greatness Krull was the richest orc in the world with his wood and cobble house and his steel sword." He laughed, though there was little amusement in the noise, it was rather dry and thin, much like the man himself. In fact the entire man was much like the trees you might see high in the mountains, long and thin, looking all too thin and abused by the wind and rains, yet they were tough things and resilient, living in places much more hostile had strengthened them. He lay silent in contemplation for a moment before continuing his story, "When I was growing I was taught with his Greatness, who was of an age with me. I learned to fight and to shoot. How to fashion a shelter that would be hidden from the eye, and how to stalk up on an enemy from behind and kill him before he sees you. All these things I learned, though they were not taught to me. I learned with my eyes, watching His Greatness as his teachers showed him this thing and that. It was soon apparent to any with eyes that Krull was a fool and an incompetent. And it soon became apparent to me that I would rather live starved and alone than under this idiot." Thitopher's hand patted his sword hilt absently, quite unconscious of doing so, "When I was fifteen winters I decided I had nothing more to learn from this King of Fools. In the dark of night I stole upon my Greatness and cut his throat with his own sword, quickly I took anything I could use and set fire to the wood and cobble structure. I fled into the night and watched from a distance as the fire spread and devoured much of the village. It was with much amusement and a glad heart that I left, seeking my fortunes elsewhere." He smiled at the memory of it. "After a few months in the wild, I came across a band of mercenaries, of bandits more like. They called themselves the Band of the Happy Brothers. Which, in truth they certainly were. Happy that is, not brothers. For they were happiest when they were being paid, and they were always being paid to rob or loot someone. I spent a few years with them, honing my skills with the sword and bow, before we happened to pick a band of merchants a little too well armed. Instead of stealing their goods and profiting, they ended up hunting us down like rats. I barely escaped with my life and have since decided that I should lie low for a while, perhaps work a real job for a bit." Your characters ambitions: "All I want out of life is all that life will give me. Barring that, anything I can take. I am no man's servant, nor will I bow to any man. But for a good price he can borrow my sword arm and my bow hand." Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Thitopher looks at you for a moment wondering if it's a trick question, his eyes narrowed in suspicion, "Well, I suppose it depends, if the Elf seems to be just dandy, I'd probably leave them to it, fools brought their death on themselves. Now, if he seems to be having a hard time of it, well. They don't call me MoonShooter for nothing. I could take the wings off pig with one hand tied behind my back. What do you mean pigs don't have wings? Go outside and hold a pig in the air, I'll show you its wings." He grinned and you get the idea that perhaps he's not talking about shooting the pig, "Now elves are always good for a bit of gold, they live so long they accrue it easy as breathing. And an elf is always a good friend to have, since they'll remember a man long after the man is dust in the ground. So I'd probably shoot the first bandit in the back and let the elf get the second man. Of course, if the elf is true fool, I might wade in with sword and finish both bandits off." Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Now who's been lying about me? Do I look good or Sir-like to you?" He gives the shop keeper a good stare, making the man uncomfortable, "Now, I've run out of arrows, I spend them rather quickly you see, and I need a goodly supply of them." Thitopher proceeds to dicker with the shopkeeper, using equal parts diplomacy and menace to get a much lower price than others might. A screenshot of your skin: Front View / Back View
  3. After MUCH revision, I believe I have the final product. I was in communication with Trouvo, however he appears to have disappeared.
  4. I'm currently reading through several of the guides, though the actual history is sadly the last thing I found. I'm currently revising this to work better, going through the history I noticed several of the inconsistencies you may have picked up. I'll not promise a novel though, I could write one but my character gains more from being played and is easier to see in action than what I write, besides I don't want to pinhole my character one way or the other or add a lot of details that could be forgotten and looked down upon until I have a better idea of the server at large. Would it be possible for you to give me a quick list of the larger bands of Humans and Orcs if there are any? Edit: Also, I'm not sure if I've created a faux pas of the history/race mentality of humans by how I've answered the questions or if there is an ACTUAL correct answer to the questions. But if there is, they aren't on the FAQ page and probably should be clarified a bit. Edit2: I think that you're actually asking for a roleplay sample rather than an OOC description of what my character would do. If so, I can completely understand why you would see that badly formatted. O_o
