  1. I'm told I can support even though I will not live there. I do so wholeheartedly.
  2. Mori app got accepted :) All that's left is my VA.

  3. I regretfully withradw my signature.
  4. In that case, it would be a joy to live among my brethren. -Faren_Quik (IGN- FinQuik)
  5. *Faren pulls out a quill and signs his name* It will be good to live among my brothers and sisters... ((Is the day of 2.0 too late to sign up  ))
  6. At this time I would like to withdraw both my name from your charter and my offer to join your military. Thank you.
  7. I posted in the town charter, but I guess I'll apply formally here. MC name: FinQuik Character name: Faren Quik Age: 92 Race: High Elf Sword, Axe or Bow?: A bow is my weapon of choice. Sword Level: 0 Axe Level: Woops- presume this is axe mastery, not lumberjacking as I first assumed. 0. Bow Level: Around 31- can't get on MC ATM. Blacksmith Level: 0 Cooking Level: 0 Wrestling Level: Around 5- see above. Why you want to join us: I have applied to live in your town, and wish for my residence to be as safe as possible. Battle is my area of expertise (though I'm a fair lumberjack) and I want to use my skills to best effect. Due to personal history I am deeply dedicated to eradicating lawbreakers, and feel I would make an excellent guard/legionnaire and eventually move up the ranks. However I must warn you, my first loyalty is to Malinor and it's Princes and Princessess, though I will not shirk my duty should it involve harming or killing another elf if it is neccessary. Regardless, I will be fiercely loyal to my superiors and carry out their orders at any cost to my own life. Thanks for your time!
  8. Awesome! Can't wait for Aegis 2.0 (and Blackthorne!).
  9. Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a while. I asked to be a legionnaire, but my character's an archer (and therefore doesn't meet axe/sword requirements). If you have to meet these requirements, I don't think I can be one, as my character wouldn't touch a sword or an axe (well a non-lumberjacking axe, if y'know what I mean) with a barge pole. Sorry! Additionally, my character's poor, so even if minas do transfer to Aegis 2.0, it'll be a while til I've got the cash to buy a home. If this isn't a problem I'd still like to live here, but won't move in til I've the money (obviously :P).
  10. *a note is pinned to the town advertising board* Hail fellow citizens, My name is Faren Quik, an elf of Malinor. I frequently travel the land of Aegis, and as such find myself in need of arrows for my bow. I post this message here to advertise my need for the materials needed to craft them, or for arrows themselves. I am willing to buy; Feathers- 2 minas each Flint- I don't know what the going rate for flint is... I'd assume around 5 or 6 minas? Correct me if I'm wrong. Arrows- 3 minas each Thank you in advance my friends. Please send me a bird ((IGN is FinQuik, or PM me on the forums if I'm not online)) or contact me in another way if you are interested. Yours, Faren
  11. Are you accepting offers to join the military? If so I'd like to be a legionnaire :) EDIT: Are the town's houses going to be built by the first residents (by which I mean the first to own that specific house, which would be fun :)) or constructed by builders and then purchased?
  12. Gratz on acceptance.

  13. You spelt my name wrong on the charter agreement :P It's Sritka, not Sritke.
  14. Apologies for double posting- I can't delete the post. So this town is going to be constructed right after the new map/reset is put into effect?
  15. Sounds like a cool idea! I'm one of the friends R'haego mentioned, and I'm Very new to Lord of the Craft, but if you'll have me, I'll gladly put my name on the charter.
  16. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: My Minecraft account name is FinQuik. Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, unfortunately I didn't get the chance. How old are you?: I am 13. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: England (GMT). Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: It is my first language. I am fluent. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm quite a 'nerdy' school boy, who enjoys reading, writing and playing fantasy books and games in my spare time, which I have quite a lot of! I am looking for another fun hobby to dedicate myself too, and hope this could be it. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: At least 1 hour on weekdays, barring unforseen circumstances, and 2 or 3 hours, if not more, on weekeneds. What do you know about Roleplaying? What is it?: Roleplaying is taking on the role (that is feelings, experiences, emotions, skills and thoughts) of a, usually fictional, character. You 'become' that character for the duration of your roleplaying session, and behave as they would. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming (coming from the Greek 'meta' which means abstract, or from outside), means using outside (real-world) knowledge to your benefit within a game. Powergaming means roleplaying your character in an unrealistic way, such as RPing them with the ability to regenerate limbs, or singlehandedly kill armies. (Thanks for the correction Respiren!) What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be a fun and immersive roleplaying experience, where I can totally lose myself in my character. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have not played on any other Minecraft roleplaying servers. However I have a lot of experience in both roleplaying and the fantasy genre in general. I am an avid fantasy book reader, and I love roleplaying games, having clocked hours in games such as the The Elder Scrolls Oblivion (and of course the newly released Skyrim). Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read and agreed to the rules of the server. How did you hear about us?: A school friend told me about Lord of the Craft, and I have since watched a trailer of the server and extensively browsed your Wiki. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I have, but I do not know which vote number I was. Sorry! What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: My Lord of the Craft forum name is Sritka. In-Character: Character Name: Faren Quik. What is your Race?: I am a High Elf. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Faren was raised by his mother and father in one of Malinor's smaller village settlements. He was, and is, a handsome elf, with shoulder length blond hair, blue eyes, and pale skin. He stands head and shoulders over most men, although he is only average size amongst his fellow High Elves. Always a precocious child, he found his mother's lessons simple and boring, and at a young age turned his keen mind to petty thievery. It started simply- a scrap of bread here, an apple there; but things quickly grew out of hand. Soon Faren began stealing things of value- family heirlooms, precious bows and cherished jewellry. Things came to a head on the day Faren stole a golden circlet. He had had his eye on the circlet for weeks, and had planned to melt it down and use the gold to buy an expensive gift for the pretty elven girl down in the village. Faren was confident. He did not fear the law, for never before had the young elf been caught and never did he plan to be. But something went wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. Even years later Faren could not tell how he had been discovered- perhaps he had left a door open, or maybe the owner of the circlet had erected a magical alarm? However it had happened, the owner of the precious trinket- a retired Warden named Allyof- caught Faren, and dragged him into the center of the small village. There, he threw his glove to the ground and spat in Faren's face, demanding single combat. Faren was aghast. He had no hope of besting the experienced elf in combat- he would surely be killed. But the alternative was a jail sentence, and eternal shame upon him and his family. Even as he struggled to decide, Faren's father strode calmly into the village square. He knelt, touched his forehead to Faren's and wiped away his tears. He smiled sadly. "Go Faren. It's not too late to turn things around." Gently he pushed Faren towards the ring of people surrounding them. Then, to Faren's eternal horror, he turned around and scooped up Allyof's glove. "On behalf of my son, I accept your challenge." Allyof inclined his head. "So be it." he replied. An old elf stepped forward and presented each combatant with an ornate ceremonial sword. In his heart, Faren knew what the result of the fight would be, yet he could not turn away. He watched, eyes wide and heart breaking even as his father was struck down. Only when the last light in his father's eyes died, did Faren turn and flee. Leaving the village, Faren struck out on a westerly path, never to return to the village of his birth. Though the death of his father had absolved Faren, and his family, of any guilt or shame for his past crimes, he knew he would never be able to face his mother again. The first night alone was the hardest. Cold, hungry, and with only his bitter self-loathing for company, Faren curled up by a tree that night ready to die. But as he slept that night he dreamt of his father, and his last words to him. "It's not too late to turn things around." The next day, Faren awoke with new resolve. No longer did he care for himself, or for luxuries. He hated himself with unmatched passion- hated his greed, his selfishness and most of all his uselessness. But he was determined to make a difference. That day he caught and killed a deer, skinning it with his small knife. Reaching the small settlement of Serpent Ridge, he traded the meat and skins of his prey for clothes and a bow, setting off into the Wilds once more. He travels the land to this day, hunting by day, and training in the ways of the bow by night, in the hopes of one day joining the Wardens and making a true difference to the Land of Aegis. Faren is currently 92 years old, and still young in the eyes of his kin. Your characters ambitions: Faren aspires to join the Wardens and help defend Malinor, and the whole of Aegis from any and all threats. However, despite his attempts to leave his old life behind, he still harbours a deep hidden childhood yearning to learn the mystical arts of magic, and would jump at the chance to do so. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling in combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Keeping his distance, Faren would call out to the bandits. "I warn you foul law-breakers, leave the elf alone! I need little more excuse to put an arrow in your chests." Should the bandits persist, or attack Faren, he would retaliate with lethal force. Should they leave peacefully he would take careful note of their appearances, and aid the elf, providing food and medical attention should they need it. Then Faren would set out with all due haste for the nearest city, to report the bandits to the guards. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "I thank you for your offer merchant, but I have no interest in your wares." A screenshot of your skin: Other Information: Thanks for taking the time to look over my application. I can promise that if you do approve me, I will be a fun and valuable addition to your community!
