There could be a couple of benefits to having harvesting areas away from PLayer cities and with their own small camp. Roleplay being one, but also being able to keep track of and take care of the forests (and mines) Lumber camps, mining camps, fishing villages, farming villages... all with their own caretakers tasked with keeping both form and function up to par.

This or there could be a group of trusted members/builders that could turn abandoned build areas into ruins in a tastefull manner. people could make a report or petition after a build has been left dormant for X amount of time etc. Mebee even place some mob spawns here and there to make it even more fun.

How about a gladiator arena. Battlegrounds are so... you know... what just about every mmorpg does now. Designated battlegrounds never lends to to RP at all either.

He has always been a wanderer, prefering the wild and stopping in busy ports and frontier outposts only as he needed, scruffy and rather unkempt, civilised people would rather it were that way anyhow.
