Minecraft name: TheAmpca Forum name: TheAmpca What do you think are the top five things, that are most important in an application and why? 1. Correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. This for me this is a big one. I have spent many long hours looking at apps from the other servers that I have inhabited and the people who use correct grammar, and spelling are always the people who turn out to be someone worthwhile. Every time I look at an application I just skim through to see how well they use grammar and spelling and if they don't use it correctly at all but claim to have a good grip of the English language then I usually wont even bother reading it and just deny the application. However, I do realize that English is not every body's first language and I usually make an exception if that is the case, but not always. One of the things I have noticed in my year of playing Minecraft is that the people who put more time and effort into their applications are the ones who actually want to be on the server and have enough maturity to make some sort of contribution. 2. A good sense of roleplay On other servers I have been on, this was not an issue what soever due to me only being on survival servers. However in the little time I have spent on this server, role playing has stood out as being easily the most prominent feature that makes this server stand out. With this in mind, I would like to enhance this even further by pushing any server applicants to really bring forth their inner imaginative mind. The main thing that to me makes a good sense of role play is originality. On applications I would like to be entertained by the person's biography and story, because a person who writes a creative application is most likely to bring creativity and enhance the server's experience. 3. A firm grasp of the rules On some of the other servers I have been on, one of the things they did was in their "rules" section, they had some sort of code word that had to be incorporated into one's app. Now, I am not saying this should be done here but what I am saying is that I would like to see someone who understands the rules and someone who has spent time reading up on the server. In an app the better the shows understanding for rules and concepts such as Metagaming and Powergaming will be someone who is better off on the server. 4. Originality This for me is also another big one. How original and creative is the person? Minecraft is all about being creative and coming up with new ideas and those who have a better imagination are better players that I enjoy having around. Now, I don't mean originality just in the role playing sense, but as their app as a whole. I ask myself, what can they bring to the server, what flowing new ideas will come from them that will improve the server's experience? I prefer to see someone who stands out, someone who will bring an experience to the server like no other. I want an individual, not a collection of other people's ideas. What I mean by this is that I like an application that was clearly not inspired by other apps because of how hard working the person is. To me, in life thinking is one of the more challenging things that people often chose not to do mainly due to its difficulty and need of the person exerting them self. An individual who thinks shows that they will try and overcome those difficulties and thus will further enhance this server. 5. A fun person The big idea I have been trying to convey is that I want each person to enhance the server. Having a person who is fun, to me at least is ultimately the person who brings the most to a server. My view on Minecraft is that it is ultimately just a game, and the goal of a game is to have fun, thus making fun people prime candidates for improving the server. A person who makes epic structures may enhance the server by making it more beautiful but if they are ruining the experience of the other players by not being a fun person then to me, they are not actually enhancing the server in anyway. I think that this server focuses on fun and that is why I consider having a fun person to be most important. I think a fun person really ties well together with an original person and a good role player due to the fact that the server is a role playing server so those that are the most fun to interact with will just make the role playing aspect even better. Final Note I would like to conclude my app by saying that I am yes, fairly new to the server. However, I am not new to Minecraft and I have seen what makes or break a server, and from this I have gathered a good understanding of what makes someone a person that I would want to have on my server. Side note edit: Oh wow, I have just looked at other peoples apps and I feel like an idiot. I talk about about creativity yet the apps that proceed mine seem to have the same concepts; oh well guess great minds think alike.

Hello weary travelers from far and wide it is I-Huang-Fet'Ziu and I have come bearing news of The Black Lotus. Who is the Black Lotus you may ask? Well I am here to inform you of just that. We are an ancient organization whose roots have existed since the very birth of man and creature. We have lived life in complete secrecy, not allowing anyone to have a remote idea as to our whereabouts. Our organization is made up of all manner of beings; be it man, elf, dwarf, ascended, undead or orc. We rarely take part in the petty squabbles that go on between the various nations and when we do, it is due to monetary requirements being satisfied by a certain nation. We have studied everything about the earth that we walk on and have come up with a compiled literature section with many writings on the natural world as we perceive it. We have trained many hours under the dim light of the great lotus in the night sky, and have become masters of the body. However I come bearing grave news of our organization. An unfortunate yet unbecoming fate has fell upon us and we were slaughtered by a measly spider army that came at night through an open window and slew us all in our sleep. However I managed to survive this horrid fate that befell our organization and am now requesting the aid of you. We will not be building an official base until the world has been remolded into Aegis 2.0. NEW INFO! I have traveled far and wide and I have come bearing news. I have talked with an individual who plans to make a new city and in turn maybe even a new nation for it. We then talked more about the city he is going to create on Aegis 2.0 and decided a few things: 1. We shall be living inside an underground passageway disguised as a sewer system 2. We will not be part of the Cities Hierarchy but we will be part of big city decisions 3. We need to abide by the law but it is my job to enforce them 4. We get everything underground except for maybe a mining entrance 5. Our hideout and any ways into our society will be hidden and full of traps 6. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I have played on Gearcraft to which I left due to the server being shut down (admins disappeared without a trace). I have also been on a server called Metopia which suffered the same fate. Now I am leaving Ubercraft just because it is a small server and I don't really get to do much on it due to the small amount of player interactions.
