  1. Hope it will be noticed that iron is the main resource and if dwarves have this then..yay? Emeralds, lapis and quartz can be easily bought from a GM-shop or players for a small price why should this promote nation trading? Iron and gold are the main mineral used and if one nation only have this then yeah there is a monopoly situation. Why sit on the elves by giving them emeralds..There are miners in the elven race just as there are miners in [insert whatever race you want here]. Giving a nation one mineral is more contributing instead of having Dwarves getting all the candy.

  2. No, just no. Rude, arrogant and not a respectful person. Curses a lot and can not handle arguments very well as seen in many recent topics. I apologize but i hope that you either become a much better and less rude person before applying for any staff position.

  3. Well...i'm gonna be the pessimist once again, why was this post a good idea since the people that already sought FM-ship have already made an app on their own accord whilst now it is people doing it because you are officially seeking people that probably would not have made it in the first place if this post were not here.

  4. Uhh.... yeah!

In that case, I recommend listening to the Livestream. It has been stated that items will have a weight of sorts that prevents you from taking those items. You will be automatically discovered instead.

Unfortunately, players will always have to deal with the fact that they will be watched by at least some force. Currently, you're being watched by a GM either way. If the thief runs away MC mechanics, then you engage MC mechanics. Simple. But it does give you enough time to respond. And yes, you will have to be on an adjacent block. Everyone around you though close enough to witness the act may get an emote where they see you doing it though. :3

Awesome! Changed my narrow mind a bit :)

  5. I'm not too found of this, what i feel is that everything is going to be too dependent on a plugin to make a lot of decisions for you. One example is pickpocketing and lock-picking, i do not want to have a plugin decide what happens to me to that extent. How will the plugin be realistic and meet RP standards like, how would it be possible to pickpocket an iron block, or an iron sword that is in the inventory or a piece of armor seeing as the inventory allows to have those kinds of items? And if the thief is caught how will when the victim of the pickpocket be able to respond to the pickpocketing and those around them when the plugin gives the thief 5 seconds of slow and blindness since that is not a lot of response time if i were to yell "Thief!" for example that would take a few seconds to register, then other people will have to type an emote which takes a few seconds. So what stops the thief from running away from RP with mc mechs? I also wonder if there is any actual RP involved in this seeing as it only opens an interface. If there is not an emote, nothing then what makes this any different from no-RP killing? And what range do you mean when you say those around you? In order to pickpocket you would have to be on an adjacent block as well.

  6. The problem with the point you raise is many people are NOT always going to be running around in iron or chain armor, simply because their character would have no in-rp reason to wear it. These characters, however, can still get into a fight with a guard wearing armor, and they would be theoretically faster than the armored man. If everybody wore full armor everywhere, would we not be stooping to the level of PVP servers with a small amount of rp before the battle?

Well now we don't have to worry a lot about skins ^.^

  7. Back on topic, RP vs. PvP is a very big difference indeed. People have developed, over the past course in time, different ways of approaching roleplay skill level that isn't based on their being amazing at pvp. Do keep in mind that this is a roleplay server, not some network of pvp servers. People should not be expected to be the best pvp'er ever to win fights in the server, and have their character be severely affected by their lack of OOC pvp skill. That is really the big difference between roleplay and pvp in battles, the skill of OOC and in-RP. Powergaming comes from RP fights, but anybody with armor can win a PVP fight, even if they would be slower than the dagger wielding foe.

Exactly that last part, i guess we can only sit and wait for the plugin and how it will solve such stuff since its still click click.

  8. Forcing your heavy roleplay ideals onto others is a recipe for disaster. Also, if you wish to do heavy-rp, why do you carry an inventory full of building materials around? Even I, as a pretty light RP'er limit the things I carry to a reasonable amount.

Who said i am forcing..finding people that have the same RP requirements then? And I'm not when i Role-Play, I use a chest in my inventory with 8 surrounding items. 9 spaces. Obviously as i keep saying which is not allowed is that i do have building materials because obviously I'm not going to spend an hour transferring the items now will i? There is a difference between being stupid and being efficient. But now i know. Yay.

  9. I believe it is completely logical that a character can be Item hungry. If you go and wear your Iron armor infront of people that don't have Iron armor, then yes, they are going to want it. If you have a bunch of items that other people want, be smart about how you travel. For an example either travel lightly or wear dirty rags, so people really don't pay attention to you.

We have this roleplay server in a game called minecraft. A game where everything is perfect cubes and you can build a house in 5 minutes. We obviously can't have a perfect realistic feel to this on such a unrealistic game. There are and will be some parts of roleplay that minecraft restricts us to not play perfectly realistic. I just RP 64 items as a group of items in my char's pack.  I really don't know how to make it much more realistic than that.

I suppose i am going to have to find people who can have and provide heavy Role-Play then.

Only if you metagame them. I ignore nametags completely. /damage 20 is because when you die... YOU DIE. You lose all your items when you die, because the Monks leave behind your possessions.

So what is said is that i am not allowed to have building materials in my inventory that is clearly not for Role-Play since custom items are allowed to be spared which makes less sense than having building blocks taken. BUt to be honest i will shut up, it's not really going to matter what I say at all.

  10. No no no, roflmao. We're a Minecraft server that has decided to take the approach of roleplay with the help of a myriad of plugins, which is wonderful.

And no we don't blame nametags because they don't make any difference. I was just saying, put your stuff in a chest, and all problems will be solved.

Name tags make a big difference. May i even ask why this /damage 20 is enforced, it only causes drama which the staff says they are working against. Don't think there will be less villains now when there will be fun PvP, less RP efforts and a tasty full inventory of items to get :3

  11. There is no such thing as an OOC inventory. It is powergaming to do such. I am sick and tired of players making up their own rules like that.

It's okay to say that you only carry X minas on you, though, as long as you're not deliberately scamming the other party.

How do you explain the extra space then? We do not RP eating, breathing and nor do we RP the huge inventory, should we make these mandatory then? Making it RPly possible to carry a stack of logs which is about...20 full grown trees. That sounds like powergaming.

  12. One armor piece? A small pouch of Minas?

A Bandit group will take anything of value. They will probably take all of your minas, all of your weapons and all of your armor. It really isn't a stupid rule. Its more stupid of you to go around carrying valuables without a guard. And they actually might take your cobblestone and logs. Maybe they could sell, or maybe they are making a little camp. The highway should be a feared place, not a place that you can go having tons of Iron and not care at all of bandits. Also, yeah, they will take those two yummy bundles of bread. Bandits have to eat too y'know.

Then i ask you to present a character that makes their living by only being a bandit. And no a chest plate is heavy enough to carry off, it is an OOC inventory that is not to be involved with RP and i was talking per persona. And no, if one would rob me and i had 10000 minas on my account does not mean i have that on my character, simply because there is no way to store minas. If it is RP then act like it is RP, with proper aftermath. Never am i going to /damage 20 and give up all the other items that my character would not actually have in Role-Play. I do not care if someone says "Buhu there is no such thing as an OOC inventory", but tell you what let Telanir code a plugin that locks every inventory spot except three+armor.
