Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Hello, my real life name is Hayley and I am a senior is high school. I'm a bubbly person who loves to meet new people, and I enjoy roleplaying and animals. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I can be on the server daily. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: To me, roleplaying is when you create a character, and then 'play' them. You choose their looks, personality, their background etc. and then use this information to build on their story via talking to other characters. You basically create another person, who is believable enough that they could actually exist (excepting characters created in fantasy worlds like LotC of course) In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. To me meta-gaming is when you take something you have learnt out of character (i.e. Not through roleplay) and you then take this information, and use it in your roleplay, even though there is no plausible reason for you to have found out. It is usually used for the meta-gamer's own benefit. Power-gaming to me is when someone creates their character to have only one goal; To get to the top of the ranks and become the most powerful person. This is power-hunger, and most times the person will not talk to anyone or do anything unless it will give them more power over people/groups. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be an enjoyable experience for myself and also my friends who are already playing on the server. I am looking forward to roleplaying, and am excited over the amount of players you have on, as it will provide a lot of activities for my character to immerse herself in. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on a server named Mel-Lenxia before this, and I didn't leave, the server died. This is the same for my friends. How did you hear about us?: My friends and I were looking for a roleplaying server after Mel-Lenxia died, and we had actually seen LotC earlier this year, and decided to look into it further. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I have, yes, but I was not given a number, just told my vote had been counted. I used my minecraft username to vote, and was told by the site that the server can track that. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Quinnelia In-Character: Character Name: Carina Belikou What is your Race?: Carina is human. Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Carina was raised in Al'Khazar, where she lived with her middle-class family. An only child, Carina spent her youth helping her parents in their simple food shop, baking food with her mother to sell. Carina is seen as a bubbly girl with piercing green eyes and fiery mahogany hair who is not afraid to speak her mind (or slap down a few people), a trait that has gotten her into trouble a fair amount of times. Carina was separated from her family when she was 16, in the middle of screams of terror and hazy smoke when Al’Khazar was attacked by the undead. Carina fled into the forest and sought refuge with a group of people who had also watched their homes fall, and together they attempted to rebuild their lives. Carina then took up a new hobby; teaching herself to fight in hand-to-hand combat, an activity she had the skill and passion for. She is now 21 years old, and is currently exploring/enjoying the world. Your characters ambitions: Her main ambition is to simply enjoy all that the world has to offer, and try not to let the fact she’s doing it alone bother her. Carina does, however, hope that one day she will see her parents again. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Carina would silently and carefully come up behind one of the bandits before jabbing the hilt of her sword at the crown of his/her head, immobilising one of the pair. She would then face the other bandit and with the elf try to incapacitate him/her. If disabling the bandits without mortally wounding them was impossible, Carina would kill them, but she would much rather try and make them run away, give up or knock them out. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Carina would smile brightly and walk up to the counter; “Hello, sir. I was wondering if I could take a look around your shop for some supplies?” She would then look around the shop, and if she saw anything that caught her eye she would take them up to the counter and purchase them, before leaving.
