Already applied, look it up if you want to :D (And tell me what you think)

  3. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Stylether Did you attend Minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No, and no. How old are you?: 16 years old Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT +1, The Netherlands Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I have studies English on an international school in Asia for 4 years, I believe so. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a Dutch Student in the Netherlands, following Mathematical and Scientific courses. I'm an ambitious person, always trying to get more out of something and ahead of myself, but I (as far as I am aware) can listen very well to rules, and love to RP in all things. I can get overly dramatic, or perhaps just plain "Random" at times, but never asocial, and always for the sake of good fun. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Around 20-30 hours, potentially more, depending on situation. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: I have been Admin on Roleplaying servers, hosted one myself shortly, and attempted to bring Roleplay to a fairly active server, with moderate results. Roleplay is, to me, the act of doing things with the concept of relating the action to a character in mind. Roleplay generally involves limiting yourself, attempting to do actions which fall beyond the original intent of a Game Developer, and/or creatively using the resources you got to reenact/simulate a situation. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is when you use outside influences in order to further yourself inside a game. Examples of Metagaming are: Using knowledge that your character/you aren't supposed to know, such as a walk-through; Using cheat engines and/or cheat codes in order advance in a game. Powergaming is when you attempt to further yourself ingame at any cost, usually only doing the necessary, and ignoring RP. This is usually asocial, and extremely annoying. What do you expect this server will be like?: Well, I always love RP... if this server is truly as good as everyone states, it'll simply be divine... What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on: Blackreaver's Demise (Admin, non-RP) and haven't left them yet; Eternal Kingdoms (Admin/Co-Owner, Light-RP), left them because the other owner started demanding that people paid to play; Eternus Legio (Owner, Heavy-RP), stopped because of funding problems; Shadow Kingdoms (Admin, Heavy-RP), left because of bad management by owner. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have read, understood, agreed, and read them again! How did you hear about us?: Someone on my old server said he was leaving for another server. This is the 'another server'. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes, voter #3,241 What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Stylether In-Character: Character Name: Stylether Laventis What is your Race?: Man Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Stylether Laventis is a young man, in his 20-30s, brown hair, dark eyes, 1 meter 65, Caucasian, with a beard. He was born in a small, unnamed rural community, in the middle of nowhere. Small enough never to be put on any maps, he lived most of his life sheltered from the rest of Aegis. he had very simple desires in his young years, most of them relating to "Taking down that scary monster" (Poking a stick at spare clothes) and "becoming lord of everyone" (Going around with a curtain around his neck, head held high, and usually ending with his face in the dirt). However, at the age of 9, Stylether was given his first coin by his parents, and said he was allowed to go spend it. With only one shop in the village, it wasn't hard to know where he would go, and his parents expected him to come back with another toy. However, Stylether didn't. He know that the coin was very valuable, a strange insight for someone of his age. He kept the coin, hearing his parents say: "Money is power". He wanted that power. Things went quiet for a while, and his parents assumed that he lost his coin on the way to the shop. At the age of 18, his father decided that Stylether was old enough, and asked him what for work he wanted to do. Spending all his years fascinated with money, it wasn't long before he became an apprentice under the Merchant in the village. He helped selling goods, and his eye for profit was useful here. If everything stayed normal, then Stylether would have been the Merchant in the village now, simply buying and selling his goods, always seeming to get the best price. However, surrounded by so much power and riches, how could Stylether resist? He started with a single coin, a swift jerk of a finger and it was inside his sleeve. But his kleptomania increased, until he, one day, made a mistake, and the Merchant saw him. He tried to be merciful, and wanted to help Stylether out of his kleptomania, but Stylether would have to give up all that he stole, and he couldn't. The Merchant wasn't a young man anymore, and Stylether easily overpowered him when he tried to constrain him. he never meant for things to go wrong. He never meant to take a life. That deed scarred him, mentally, and he fled his village in shame. However, he was in a strange world, with absolutely no idea what to do, and no idea what is out there. His education was slight, even though he always tried to remember what he heard. His days with the merchant made his slightly eloquent, and he knew his trades, but he was too ashamed for his own deeds for him to bloom. He hid himself in his own mind, and tried to lock away his past. Therefore, where he first was eloquent, he became cold and diplomatic. Where he first was haggling, he became extorting. He became paranoid, and never stayed in one place for very long. All he could live for is profit, and it might be nice to do it a fair way, and try to help others, but in the end, money is all that matters. Your characters ambitions: 1) To get profit and power, in all things. 2) To accept his past, and perhaps, one day, return to his village 3) To stop wandering, and settle down. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? His mercantile skills will be of very little effect here. He would probably hide himself, and wait for one party to be victorious and leave, so that he could perhaps loot what is left. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "Hello there, Sir. I need some supplies, and quickly, I believe I have stayed for too long. While I am here, anyhow, could I interest you in this interesting piece of equipment, hardly used?" A screenshot of your skin: Other Information: I am also an aspirant novelist... (But that novel isn't exactly forming very well so far)
