Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: JamiMan Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No. How old are you?: 15 going on 16 Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, as English is the only language I know and both of my parents are English teachers. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a gamer who really wishes some single player RPGs were multiplayer. I am very technologically inclined and I love building epic creations in my head and in my game. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 18-20 hours. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying to me is putting oneself into a brand new body in a brand new world with brand new options. The ability to do things in a virtual world as if it was the world around you. To me, roleplaying is an entrance into a new life, a new world, a new destiny. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is completely breaking the overall feel of a roleplay by saying things like "Whats your name irl?" or "I just totally pwned you n00bs!", stepping out of the make believe world with a jolt of reality. Not cool. Powergaming is using in-game glitches and cheats to get your own way, such as pillaring, or shooting an arrow over a city wall to kill someone knowing they can't do anything back. What do you expect this server will be like? I think this server will be a jumble of complicated rules and RP elements, but I think that it will be worth learning, so I can enjoy the refreshing experience of a REAL RPG server. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. How did you hear about us?: I was looking at the LB Photo Realism texture pack page and saw a link to the original forum page(the one that became full after 460 pages). Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? Yes, I was vote number 3,762 What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Dwarfahkiin In-Character: Character Name: Dwarfahkiin What is your Race? Dwarf! Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Appearance: Dwarfahkiin is a surprisingly tall dwarf who has brown hair and a fair amount of facial hair. He has blue eyes and fair skin. He also has prominent abs. Age:78 Personality:Dwarfahkiin is as good a warrior as he is a miner. He carries a strong dislike for Undead, and can be very cold. History: Dwarfahkiin(His original name was lost to a great fire) was mentored for over 30 years by Honeydew the Wise in the dwarven city of Khaz Mohdan. One day however, he heard talk of great sieges above ground. There was talk of the living dead, holes in their hearts and eyes red as the Great Forges. There was only one who could stop them. That person, was the Dwarfahkiin. Not seen or heard of for a thousand generations, suddenly a surge of people searched vigilantly for the Dwarfahkiin(He did not know he was the Dwarfahkiin yet). Soon, the crowds subsided, only a few searched for the Dwarfahkiin, and the battles above became little more than bloodbaths as the Undead army grew with each life lost. Before long, the war above ended. The High King was shattered, broken, dead. What little life was left were being herded for the mass feeding of the Undead. But the slaughter did not end there. It reached into the ground like roots, looking for the liquid that would satiate their hunger: blood. The Dwarfahkiin was out on another pointless mine training task. When would they realize that I had no need for these petty tasks? He decided to go deeper to search for the things he needed: Diamonds and gold. After ten years of courtship, he was ready to pronounce his love to his sweetheart, Berelika the Kind. He spent hours searching for diamond and gold, and came out three hours later, arms laden with treasure. But what he saw shoved all thoughts of Berelika out of his mind. What he saw, was carnage. Blood splattered across the walls and the ground. Bodies lay in the streets. Houses on fire. The smell of rotting flesh hung in the air. and atop the king's altar, a pile of bodies set alight, and one face that stood out before all the rest: Honeydew the Wise. Only one thought was on his mind; the ones who did this will pay with their blood! He set to work. Using the Great Gorges and his own materials, he created the strongest armor in the world with his gold, and with his diamond, a sword as sharp as a gypsies tongue and as brilliant as the Tower of Mzark. He was soon struck by another thought: where was Berelika? He searched through the bodies, but found no sign of her. There was still hope! He could rescue her! But he would need something no one else did: the power in the Great Vault. Checking to make sure it was still locked, he sprinted to the great hall. There, along with the Wall of Heroes, was inlaid the Great Vault. Made of gold covering a thirty foot thick layer of diamond, it was probably the strongest structure in all of Khaz Mohdan, stronger than even the Great Wall, which was currently in a dreadful state. It's ten foot thick walls of carved stone where no match for the Undead's siege engines. The Dwarfahkiin then said with a whisper to the door "Hlomkir da Ulfrikk". With a great woosh of air, the Vault slowly opened. But alas, inside was not a weapon, or a piece of armor, or even a tool. Resting on a raised stone pedestal was a small tablet made of sapphire. The tablet was smooth, and the deepest blue you could imagine. On the front side however was a rune. A rune carved into the surface of the surface of the beautiful sapphire rectangle. Not knowing what it was exactly, he took it, in case it was a key of some sort. He then sprinted to the Great Elevators. He was going upstairs to knock on his enemies door. After reaching the surface, the Dwarfahkiin's task to find Berelika became much easier. He just had to follow the trail of blood and carnage. The first settlement he came across was Tolfnir, a human settlement named for the dwarves. As he approached, he saw that there where only two Undead guardians in the city: One archer on each side of the walls. The Dwarfahkiin threw his sword at the first one, caught the guard's bow, shot the other guard to pieces, then picked his sword back up. "One down, nineteen to go." He trekked like this through the next sixteen towns, and then he took an arrow to the knee in the eighteenth town. Desperate for help, he remembered that there was a place near there that would heal all wounds: The Pool of Sacred Tears. After taking an hour out of his way to venture there, he slew the guardians of the last town without effort. But then came the High King's Palace. If it was beautiful before, the Dwarfahkiin could not tell. Bodies hung from the battlements, flesh and organs draped the walls, and the castle seemed as if it was painted in their previous occupant's blood. Here came the hard part: getting in. The Dwarfahkiin thought for a bit, then came up with a plan: If he could just lure one or two guards at a time out of the city, he could pick them off with his bow, then switch positions and repeat until all the exterior guards were dead. So, he put this plan to use, throwing stones to lure the guards, then picking them off and moving to a different location to rinse and repeat. He soon went through all the exterior guards and then moved in with his sword, assassinating all Undead that were left inside the walls before moving inside the main palace. He moved through the halls like a specter, stopping only to sneakily kill a guard or two until he faced the great challenge: the High Undead King. But as he saw the High King's throne, he saw something very interesting: a door with a small rectangular indentation with a raised rune in the center of it. He thought "Well, I guess I can kill two birds with one stone while I'm here. One literally, one figuratively." He saw a few things that caught his eye, the first and foremost a great chandelier, weighing at least four hundred pounds, supported by a rope which just happened to be tied taught against the wall next to him. The next horrified him beyond belief: Berelika was on the table, dead, gutted, flesh torn apart. "This must be done." He threw a stone near the chandelier, and it clanged against it. Just as planned, the Undead High King got up to investigate, and when he stepped under the chandelier, the Dwarfahkiin thought it could be no better of an opportunity. He yelled "For Khaz Mohdan!" and cut the rope. The Former High King looked up just in time to be squished under a four hundred pound heap of metal and hot wax. The Dwarfahkiin then ran forward, killing all Undead in his path, and placed the sapphire tablet into the indentation. The door, as if it sensed his need, opened very quickly, only letting him and an arrow through before it closed. The Dwarfahkiin was hit in the back by a fatal arrow, and just before he blacked out, he heard a whisper: Sleep, Dwarfahkiin. Welcome home... The Dwarfahkiin awoke with a jolt. He was nowhere he remembered, and nobody was around. "Hello? Hello? Is anyone here?" Your character's ambitions: To soak the ground in the blood of the Undead. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? He throws his sword at the first bandit, then uses his bow to shoot the other one. He wants only to help where he was not aided. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. Dwarven Architecture ((Ooc Thread))
Dwarfahkiin replied to Dun_Irongut's topic in Aegis Roleplay Archive
Well, after doing oh so much RP involving dwarves(or Dwemer, to all Elder Scrolls Fans), I have come to the conclusion that Dwarves are quite fond of using gold in their structures. They will also tend to used carved stone and will usually build very large structures/caves(Compensating for something?). They also have large stone carvings in their great halls, along with enormous statues along main walkways. Dwarves are very mechanically minded, so they may have transport pipes for water or supplies. Just a few ideas from the Dwarfahkiin!
