you know, personally i like the roads, and the distances arent that far to walk, its just when i have to swim a long time and cant place a boat such as Alras if you cant go through orc lands or the elven lands that gets me a bit frustrated :/ i like the idea of a fast travel system to get across oceans or through mountains because in real rp you'd need a ferry or a mountain guide to cross tough terrain like that, but i mean so far as the regular travel distances to renatus and Salvus and the other places, i think are fine. Though i have noticed cities are a lot more deserted since the move, possibly because of the size

To me metagaming is using anything to gain knowledge or advantages that your RP character would not normally be able to obtain or learn. For example say IRL I am friends with the Undead high prophet. If I were to call him and ask him when he was going to…attack Galahar, and then my character rushed to Galahar even though he would not have been able to learn of the attack from any RP viable reasons, that would be metagaming. Powergaming to me is playing a game only thinking of one goal ( say maxing out all levels) but not thinking at all about story… or RP or any of the good stuff like that. This , to me, also includes using exploits to do things super fast, say for example if you could get to level 100 mining instantly by… mining a neter fence or something due to a glitch. If someone did that just because they want to be able to use diamond pickaxes so they can sell lots and lots of money to get rich quick. That would also be power gaming to me. Basicly in conclusion Powergaming to me is doing excessive things to achieve a goal or obtain an item (money, diamond swords etc.) while ignoring the story of Aegis and interacting with the world. I was born in a small house on the outskirts of Al'Khazar to a hunting father, and a farming mother. The world around me was falling to the undead onslaught, but i was young, and naive, the war all seemed so far away. Then one day... when i was merely a teenager...i looked out the window of our house and saw smoke rising. The undead had attacked, and my parents were in it when it happened. I was devastated, i didn't know what to do...i wandered the streets of Al'Khazar for months, destitute. After a while i retreated into the forest to take up my father's hunting trade, where i learned to wield a sword and became extremely proficient with a bow. One day while traveling to Al'Khazar to sell my leather, bones and gunpowder, I returned to a city that was tainted with the undeads scar. They took my parents...what couldn't they take? I practicly gave up and roamed the king's road looking for a purpose. That's when i stumbled upon the cloud temple's library, looking for some kind of comfort in the books. One good thing that came out of it was that i learned to write, but i also stumbled upon a saying, "where there is life, there is hope". These words inspired me to get back on my feet, i took up my sword, re-strung my bow, and vowed to fight back the undead wherever I could. Whether I as an organization or alone i will fight the undead, and hopefully, one day, restore Al'Khazar. I'm 37, and it can be seen on my face as i have a scraggly beard and grey spots popping up in my hair from the stress over the years. I hate all undead and don't trust them (but of course wont attack unless I RP first) and it can be hard to earn my trust, but if you do I am extremely loyal to my close friends. I am a man of action, but i know that words can also be extremely useful. Your characters ambitions: Fight the undead threat wherever it may arise, help recapture and rebuild Al' Khazar, it will be the jewel of the north once more! also unite Oren once more under one king (not saying me, i have not desire to rule, but i wish to see a united Oren). Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? "Hey! Hey!! unhand him now!" *Athalos draws his bow and takes aim* *bandits reply* "yeah? and you think you can stop us?" *I reply* "I dont think.. I know that I can, now this is your last warning!" *bandits reply* "Bring it!" *Athalos fires his arrow in between the leaders eyes then reaches to draw a second arrow* *The second bandit reaches for his sword and swings at Athalos's head* *Athalos ducks the swing and leg sweeps the bandit, while holding the arrow beneath the falling bandit, impaling him* (i cut it short because this app is so long, normally i wouldnt be so cheap in my RPing) *Athalos holds out a hand to the elf and helps him up* "are you okay? did they hurt you?" *the elf replies* "No but they would have if you hadn't shown up! thank you so much!" *Athalos replies* "You're welcome sir now please don't let this happen again, there won't always be someone to stop things like this" *Athalos walks away* Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar.
