~*~History of the House~*~
House Klaren is the family of Dark Elves descending from Lord Glaroth Klaren the Supreme House Knight. He wanted his descendants to be safe and trained against any of the menaces that Aegis could hold. The family grew as bonds were created, for a long time, the house stayed pure to the dark elf race. It then spread a little more when bonds when some wood elvish bonds were made by marriage. His first son, Goroth Klaren, was named heir of the House during the first era of the undead wars while his second son was lost in a caravan. Unfortunately when the undead spread across Aegis, Lord Glaroth Klaren was forced to flee with the whole family. The first Klaren's Hold was lost in the flames of the undead wrath...
Having been warned of the dangers of the undead, Lord Glaroth Klaren had ordered the construction of three caravels. They boarded these after traveling to the ports and followed the other boats to the new world named Asulon. When they arrived, they quickly detached from the main group of ships to take a part of land in the now known as wilderness area. However Lord Glaroth's caravel was lost on the way when a think fog descended on the coastal sea. It was up to Ser Goroth Klaren to become the Lord of the house. They started building the New Klaren's Hold, a large fort with many halls and rooms. During these colonial times, they stayed quiet as to not attract the attention of the dwarves who started creating their mines in that area.
The building of Klaren's Hold was on schedule when Lord Goroth Klaren obtained a note mentioning the creation of a new Dark Elven town. He suspected that the only one with the capacity to do such a thing was Lord Glaroth Klaren, if he had possibly survived. Thus he set off to search for his father, in the meantime it was up to Ser Relios Klaren to take on the job as Seneschal for the time that Lord Goroth was away. During all this time, Dark Elves left the family because of the loss of their wise leader, thus House Klaren has stagnated and stayed out of the affairs of Asulon, they suppose they are now ready to expose themselves as the Noble Dark Elves...
~~Political Stance~~
The Dark Elves of this house have avoided the Dwarves since its creation. They consider them to be too proud of their caves and subterranean cities. They would nevertheless also avoid any direct conflict. The Klarens are acceptant to their kin but do not trust any newcomer with even the simplest secrets. Elves are treated just as Dark Elves, but are trusted to a lesser extent. As for the relation with humans they let them be as no problem could surge from their expanding lands. The Orcs are beasts to their eyes and thus they stay away from them, a Klaren will rarely go into the orcish lands. Since the discovery of these new cat-like beings, named Kharajyr, they have no real view on the race but mock it for its appeared primitivity.
When it comes to exterior affairs, the Klarens will stay out of the conflict unless it affects them directly or if innocent Elves are affected by the warfare. Pillaging is against the Klaren beliefs which dictate that one must keep his skills to himself, if not, share them with the rest of the House.
~~Hierarchy of the House~~
~The Lord of Klarens is the highest stance of power, as its name presents, they reign and look over the matters of the other family branches. This is a hereditary stance only obtainable by Klaren blood in the direct form if possible.
~The Klaren House Knights are directly under the power of the Lord. They are charged with the noble duty of protecting the High Klaren house from anything and everything that could be of harm to them. There have only ever been Dark Elves able to achieve this level in the hierarchy, not to say that it could be possible that some day another race could achieve this post.
~The Klaren Knights are the heads of branches of the Klaren families. They have achieved greatness in more than one combat skill and thus are able to bring more to a battle. 'Tis a long journey to arrive to be one of the Klaren Knights but is a rewarding achievement of honor and loyalty.
~The Klaren Standard-men are those who are worthy enough to have a mount and hold the standard of House Klaren. They are nevertheless not of the level to be Knights. They are a symbolic part of the Klaren family, mostly going on quests to show the colors of the House.
~The Klaren Vassals/Members are those who have recently joined the house and have the trust of various members. They have usually joined by marriage bond and are training to become Standard-men. These could be of any race worthy to the eyes of a Klaren which decides their daughter can marry the man.
~The House Mercenaries are those who are payed by the individual Knights to do errands of all sorts, they constitute a small part of House Klaren as those who kill for money are well seen.
~~Joining the House of the Klarens~~
One must understand the duties being joining the House. It all resides in loyalty and cooperation for the better of everyone.
-One must always help another Klaren in need. -One must be loyal to the Lord. -One must protect Klarens Hold with their life. -One must share their skills with the rest of the House. -One must swear to the Klaren Oath.
To join one must then present a scroll, in person, to the Lord of Klarens or one of the House Knights in which they state the following:
One might ask themselves what the rewards of joining our House is. If one joins the Vassals of House Klaren one will obtain the honor of calling themselves a Klaren. On top of this, you will be rewarded by a personal quarter in Klarens Hold! The majestic fort of the Klaren Family.
~Klaren Oath of Loyalty~
"I,_____, swear to serve the Klaren Lord, when requested and to the letter. I swear that I will never bring harm to one of the House or ever think of such. I shall always continue to train my abilities as to be able to protect my family and House when the time comes. I shall never commit acts of treason towards any member of the Klarens or aid one to do so. I shall never reveal a single secret of the House. I shall keep loyal to this oath as long as I live and can only be released if one Klaren Lord decides it so."

~~Klaren Uniforms and Armor~~
Before House Klaren was created, Glaroth Klaren's brother, Tragos Klaren, discovered a way to reinforce the steel armor by a complicated process involving lava and compact coal. The steel would turn to be a very dark grey and was much stronger but just slightly heavier. The members of the family have used this alloy since its creation.

The new residence of House Klaren has been built, it contains the greatest and most noble of the Dark Elves. To travel hither, one must arrange a meeting with one of the Klarens. There is no point to attempt robbery, we hath locked everything with durable locks.
