  1. *A man stands at large crate at the city market* "People of Asulon, Free people of Asulon! It is in a time of great need i beg to you to listen to what I have to say! I am a free man and have been all my life. I live in the wilds with many others. I cherish my freedome with all my heart and enjoys every breath of it. Freedome is a right bestowed uppon every man who wishes for it! untill now... The city of Renatus is now claiming my home, my neighbours homes and my friends homes which to us are our pieces of freedome in this harsh world, as theirs. They threaten to raze and burn all the homes of those who dare to oppose them. This is not the way of a civilized world, claiming the week peoples home, threatening inocent people with fire and terror for a pice of land in the wilds. Anyone with a sence of justice would say this is wrong, anyone would say that this is an Outrage! Who knows where this quest of greed and power will end? It might be on your doorstep soldiers will stand next, telling you that your home now belongs to them. My Name is Mordred of Riverbend and I call on all the free people of Asulom to come to our aid, to help defend the freedome of this world and to help end this hubristic campaign of Renatus!"
  2. Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Mordred_92 Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Sweden, GMT+1 Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I speak and write unhindered. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: A not all to serious student who spend way too much time in front of the computer. I love the ocean because I enjoy fishing and sailing during summers and ice-skating and hockey/bandy during winters. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Well, say an average of 2h a day. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying to me is to take on the role of a fictitious character and pretend being this person, very much like theater but on a deeper, more personal level. I have been trying out role-playing on another server and I work with theater plays on the weekends . In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Metagaming is basically using OOC information to achieve personal goals or ignoring ones characters' specified abilities to achieve something which is not really possible by the character himself. Powergaming is when you spend a lot of effort and time only for the sake of progress itself, this can be done by, for example, skipping long IC-conversation cause they may slow you down. Excessive Farming is a typical example of powergaming. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this to be a server where people actually take role-playing serious and that it is possible for me to dive in to a new world and experience minecraft in a whole other way. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: MCserver, a small Swedish server, it is a great server for role-playing but it is not specified in the servers guidelines and is therefore not taken very serious. I enjoy playing on it with some of my friends but half of the servers "population" is meta/power-gaming a lot, making it hard to actually have good role-play. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes How did you hear about us?: I was searching for some inspiration on medieval buildings for a minecrafthouse last year and stumbled upon this server. It sounded great but I lacked the time and commitment to engage myself into actually applying. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? #646 What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Mordred In-Character: Character Name: Mordred What is your Race?: Human Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Mordred grew up as the oldest son in a farmers family, just short of 6' tall and with blue eyes. He has worked the fields and woods all his life. As a kid he kept mostly to himself, playing and experimenting with plants and running around in the woods. When he was 17, soldiers from some unknown war plundered the village. All the crops and his home was set ablaze and burnt to the ground. Most of the villagers were killed but in the confusion, some managed to run off into the woods where they hid and relied on hunting to sustain themselves. Hi has overcome the loss of his home and family but the grief has turned him into a quiet man who does not speak a lot and who spends long periods in the wild on his own. The war is now over and Mordred is know looking for a knew place to call home. Your characters ambitions: Mordred, having no place to call home, wants to travel the world until he finds himself a new place to settle down and build a new farm. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Realizing that the bandits have not yet seen him, he would quickly sneak up and put an arrow in the back of one of them. The surprise, he hopes, will give the Elf time to defeat the other bandit. In the other case, were the second bandit hastily defeats the elf, he would run of in to the woods as fast as his legs would carry him, hoping for a new chance to fire off a new arrow as he knows that he does not stand any chance in close quarters. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? Good day to you! I'm looking to buy some bread A screenshot of your skin: *in attachments
