What do you expect this server will be like?: From what i've seen and heard, this server will be extremely fun. I imagine that there will be no tolerance for speaking out of character and everything that people do will have a reason based on who their character is. This is great for an RP server to have because it ruins the experience if people are talking about real life or just stealing things from people even though their character is supposed to be a nice person who would never steal. In-Character: Character Name: Dobbs What Race are you?: Human What Sub-Race are you?: Halfling Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was born into a wee little family. Ma and Pa raised my brother Gulliver and I in a small cabin near a lake in Alras. It wasn't much ... but it was home. As a young lad, I was always very intrigued by me fathers work. He was only an ameture hunter but to me, he was the best around. Me mother was a thoughtful woman. Every night when pa came back from a hunt, she'd be chatting with me and Gulliver by the fire. Ma was a great cook as well and what ever pa brought back, mother would cook into a plate o' gold. As the winters passed, I grew older. Soon enough I'd be going on me first hunt along side me pa. Gulliver was four years older than me so he'd been on many hunts already. Pa had been tellin' stories about his trips into the wild but not even a thousand of'em could prepare anyone for their first kill. When i was 13 i killed me first rabbit. All o' me muscles were shakin' as the arrow pierced it's skin and me father was by me side guidin' me every step'a the way. At that moment, I knew that I wanted to be like Pa. From then on I got increasingly better at hunting rabbits and eventually snagged myself some better game. The next six years were the best years o' me life. As i went on more and more hunts with Gulliver and Pa. me bow skills had become remarkable and I had become a nearly silent hunter. After learnin' everything I could from me brother and me father, I decided I had to journey alone, into the next chapter o' me life. No more than a year later, I found meself wanderin' all throughout Asulon, meetin' many new folk and learning a bundle o' tricks to take with me on me hunts. I had still only aged 19 years since me birth but I was nearly a master with me bow and silent as a hare. I was planning to hunt for a great portion o' me life, just like Pa had decided to do. When I'm finally done with me huntin' I hope I'll have a nice wife and kid by then. Me wife n' I would own a small, peaceful shop, near a brook maybe, and we'd settle down there with our children. What is your Character's ambitions?: As I told ya before, I plan on huntin' like me Pa for most o' me life and later settle down with a nice wife and kid. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: As a skilled hunter, I'm a great shot with me bow and not even the keenest animal could hear me sneakin' up on 'em. open responce questions: Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: As a halfling, I don't enjoy violent encounters with others so instead i scurry to the nearest town and alert a group of guards to come quick. The guards n' I rush back to the warriors and try to stop them without violence. If violence must be used then we would attack and kill the warriors, saving the halfling. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: Noticing that he is well dressed, I realize that I won't be needin' his wares. Instead I ask for direction towards the nearest inn because I'm in need of a good nights rest and a place to settle down and get comfortable for a while. I head out in the direction he pointed and once I reach the inn I buy a room for a few nights and sit down in a chair to read my book for a while. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Being a knowlegable hunter, I know that a sword is not a silent weapon so I decide to leave the golden sword. Although the bars are temptin' I respect who ever the laddy is that owns this house and leave the bars. However, I'm in the mood for something other than meat that I've been hunting so I search his cubords and find a loaf o' bread. After gobbling up the soft bread, I put some rabbit in it's place, take a quick nap, and head out. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: Starvin' and lacking comfort I would enter their camp but I would be causious if they were another race than I am, for many other races tend to be violent. I would take any food offered to me in exchange for a promise that I would hunt and give some food back to these kind folk. I would hope that I could find a comfortable place to settle down and regain my strength in order to set out once more. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Because I prefer to be passive against others, I would offer any spare weapons, armor, or other valuables that might be useful in this time of war. If the situation arose and the guards needed more help I would sadly have to decline. I do not feel that I would be much help either. I'd walk off eventually, hoping that their battle was victorious but I'd also feel a bit sad that I wasn't more helpful to 'em.

This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Deurdak was born with his twin brother Mordak inside of a frosty mountain which lay on the southern edge of Asulon. The two brothers and their parents Falerl and Valitia, lived a simple life during the childrens youth. Falerl would mine in their clans mines all day while Valitia would care for the children and run their small family store. When Deurdak and Mordak grew older, they were invited to watch their father in the mines on certain journeys. Mordak was barely interested in mines. He would instead sneak off and watch the sword fighters. Deurdak, on the other hand, was intrigued by his fathers skill and determination. These four dwarves continued with this life for several years until the twins turned 12 years old. In their clan, a boys 12th birthday was the day he became a man. That day Deurdak would stand by his fathers side and be accepted into the clan. Over the years Mordak had become a large nuisance in their clan and did not care to be accepted. Deurdak did not understand his brothers feeling towards the clan but his excitement blinded him from it. That day, Deurdak mined for the first time now that he was a man. His father would begin to teach him everything he knew so that one day Deurdak could grow up to provide for his own family as Falerl did. Deurdak became more and more of a man each day he spent in the mines with his father. One dreadful day in their beutiful frosy mountain cave, their clan was attacked. The dwarves were swarmed by wave after wave of heartless orcs who would not stop until the mines were theirs. Deurdak and Falerl had not entered the mine yet that day so they quickly packed up their belongings and fled to the nearest defense post but they were stopped shortly after by several orcs. Falerl used his novice sword skills to defend Deurdak so he could escape. Deurdak refused to leave his father but Falerl promised they would meet again so Deurdak ran. As he neared one of the mines many exits he saw sunlight for the first time. Blinded by the beuty he forgot about the horrific situation that the orcs had brought to his clan. The sound of orc screams brought him back to reality and he finished his escape out into the gorgous snowy plains of Asulon. He swiveled around and ran back up the mountain a ways until he found a small cavern that he could hide in until he saw his father. Deurdak sat their for hours and hours just waiting ... hoping, that his father had made it out alive. Eventually he realized the harsh reality of his fathers demise as his whole world came crumbling down on top of him. When deurdak finally made it to the surface of the rubble, he was not the same man. Instead of a small innocent boy, Deurdak had become a burly and powerful man with thick, black hair and a cold heart. He wandered out into the great world of Asulon that he had been secluded from by the cold inner mountain walls. Deurdak could not bare the though of his clans extinction so he traveled as far as he could away from his disasterous birthplace. After traveling for miles and miles, he was exausted and could not take another step. He collapsed on the ground and entered a deep and dark sleep. When he awoke, he found himself lying in a barren wasteland not far from an abandoned mountain. He slouched towards a mine entrance in search of a new life, free from all his awful memories. Without any tools, companions, or emotion, Deurdak was left with nothing but his abundant knowledge of mines and his skills with the pickaxe. Over years of lonesomeness he became delusional. Many years later, at the age of 21, Deurdak escaped this mine as well. His heart had darkened and his soul would forever be scared by death. He was exausted, starving, and death was pulling at his ancles. A traveling mearchant spotted him in the distance and quickly brought him back to his town. He was patched up, fed, and put in bed. After a long sleep he was awoken by the many small and curious eyes of the village children. He hadn't seen a human face in more than five years and he imediately bolted from their camp. Alone and practicly heartless, Deurdak wandered Asulon with nothing but the tools on his back and his mastery in mining. He was also a very clever man with the wit of an old halfling but this was nowhere near what was necesary for his survival in the world. What is your Character's ambitions?: Deurdak plans to use his mining expertise to provide himself with necessities for survival. He will use his wit to outsmart anyone brave enough to cross his dark soul. Deurdak dreams of a simpler life someday where he can settle down in a log cabin and rest but for now, he will be followed by death every step of the way. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Deurdak Girnor would not dare to stray far from his clan without his trusty pickaxe to guide him through the mines. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Deurdak is a very skilled miner and can also outsmart almost anyone foolish enough to cross his path. open response questions: Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: Deurdak, being an inexperienced fighter, would avoid the situation as best as possible. His dark heart has no reason to feel sympathy for this halfling. Although he cannot stand these warriors actions, he cannot do anything to help nor does he have reason to. Deurdak, thinking back to his brothers youth, would remember how experienced in battle Mordak was after watching so many sword fights. He would regret not spending more time with his twin and wish he was there now to help. If Deurdak did decide to help the halfling he would try to persuade the two warriors into letting the halfling go but it would most likely be too risky and could put him in a lot of danger if he couldn't persuade them. He approaches him and imediately the man can sense his dark past and is overcome by Deurdak's presence. This allows Deurdak to take the upper hand in the trade. He purchases many things for almost half the original price and even manages to sell some of his own goods to the merchant. Having encounters similar to these will eventually make Deurdak known to people in towns nearby and he does not want that kind of attention. Therefore he would only be able to do this type of this some of the time. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Because he's a very succesful miner he has an abundance of ore as well and does not need to bother with the iron bars. This will allow him to regain some strength he lost from his long days in the mines and hopefully cure some of his insanity. How does your character act on this information?: He does not take kindly to bandits and thieves but does not have the strenght to do what he wishes he could to fight the verminous attackers. Deurdak would flee the situation and try not to let the idea linger in his head for long. The most he could do would be to supply equipment to the figthers in exchange for a piece of the reward. Deurdak wishes that someday he will be able to fight but knows that that day will never come for him.

Malikai, one year short of his brother Ragounda, was very eager to learn the ways of his elder brother and father. His father Dwalin created the largest underground pathway of his peoples time. Malikai and his brother were determined to be as noble as their father was. Dwalin had recently began teaching these two young dwarves all he knew but soon, they were struck by misfortune. The orcs of Galavant lead a mass raid on their clan and in the long 10 day battle the protect their clan, much blood was spilt. Nearing the end of their clan's days just before Dwalin and his wife were slain, Dwalin ordered his two sons to flee. They fleed thier mountains to an area far far away from home. Their goal was to rebuild their clan's strenght and avenge the many deaths they had seen. Malikai was 20 years old and could have never expected what he had experienced in his homeland. Using everything he had learned from his brother and father, he set out on his journey to be the greatest miner that Asulon had ever seen. He was extremely determined at heart and would be devistated if anything happened to his older brother, for he was the only thing he had left. What is your character response?: Malikai would ask to look through his goods and try to bargain for the best mining tools he could. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: He would leave the sword but take the bars and put something of equal value in their place. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: Although Malikai is a shy dwarf he would quietly join them for a while offering labor for food. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guards have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Because he doesn't enjoy battle Malikai would turn down their request but offer to provide supplies for their fight in trade for a piece of the reward.
