If applicable: --->Here ye go <--- +-IC-+ Name: Halt Simple but Sweet Biography: Halt was raised as a villain by his parents. The dagger was the first thing he ever saw once he was born. But a villain isn't always a bad person. Halt is rather friendly and a great friend to have as long as you do not anger him. Halt respects Oren but more importantly Vallark. He has many friends there such as Fionn, Jack, Edward, and many others. He is trying to seize power over Nectar so it does not fall for there is no leader at the moment. Skills or Traits you have Affinity towards: Swordsmanship, Blacksmithing and Archery are Halt's main skills. He is a master swordsman as well as a blacksmith. And he is working his way up with the bow by practicing each day. ((Again, if the skill reset takes place, then these traits apply.)) Past jobs and/or experiences: Halt's past experiance had been in Nectar. He joined one day, and is still a member but now without a leader, he wishes to take control over it and finish Nimik's plans by rebuilding it. In Nectar, he was a warrior, but in his free time a bar owner. He had many customers, and sold cheep drinks to everyone. But now, he is willing to Join Vallark. To often has he visited Tehnaki. Faught with Tehnaki. Made friends with fellow vellarks...as a stranger. He is now determined to join. Halt will also be a lord of a village soon enough. Reason for seeking a position as a Vallark Bannerman: Too many times has Halt visited Tehnaki, Helped the vallark, faught with them, made friends with them. As Halt Kithalnor travels to the elven lands yet again, an idea forms in his mind. "I need to be part of something," he mouthes to himself. And with this. He writes many drafts and gives them to his companion birds to deliver to neighbouring towns and guilds in Asulon. The letters read: Dear fellow mates of Asulon, My name is Halt Kithalnor. I am an elven ranger. I have travelled far and wide in search of a party of some sort. Be it a guild or a town. However with the no luck that I recieve, I pass this message onto this bird so it can deliver it to many towns and guilds in Asulon. Again, I am a ranger. I hunt. I kill. I drink. I befriend. As a ranger, I am skilled with a bow. Don't believe me. Come and find out. I respectfully ask for some pay and a home to live in. This is my third application. Read it well and consider it well as well. I will now improve every mistake I made and will try my best to get accepted once more. I hope there will be no more messups as there was in my last application for it pained me a lot when I got accepted but then denied. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: My minecraft account name is Wowminecrafter. How old are you?: As a matter of fact, I am thirteen years old. However this application shall prove that I am mature in many ways. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I am in the Eastern Timezone and I live in Canada, Ontario, Mississauga Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I wield a definite strong grip on the English Language at the age of thirteen. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My first Name is Adam and I am polish. I've been playing minecraft for a year and a half but never found a good enough roleplay server and hope this is the one. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Now that summer is just around the server, I'll usually be on atleast one hour a day if not more. I do have plans made for the summer but most of my days will be free and perhaps be used on playing this server. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is what I love to do. What I know about roleplaying is that you're assigned a role as a certain character and you act as if that character was really you. Therefore my definition to it is when you act as if you're that certain character. Therefore if you were an outcast as well as a thief under the name of Grundar_Badmouth, you'd be sneaky and never friendly. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: All I can really say about this part, is that I do have Roleplaying skills and know the basics. I've never been on a roleplaying server so this experiance will be quite new but not entirely. I say this because I have roleplayed countless hours in the game World Of Warcraft. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is when your character uses information or does something that is outside of his knowledge. So basically it's when you use ooc information(ooc chat, forums,ts3 etc.) and you use it with your character. Quick Ex. Man A tells you on ts3 that he has a sword in his inventory. Man B is a guard who talked with Man A and asks for his bow. This is metagaming because Man B is using ooc information(ts3) to his advantage and asking for Man A's sword. However he's not supposed to know about the sword. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-Gaming is when you're not allowing or rather not giving the other person to react. An example of this goes as follows: You're beggining a duel to the death with your enemy and you say *I strike you through the heart making you tumble to the ground dead. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server to be friendly, and fun. Friendly I say because the users on this server had to go through this long application format to play. Therefore immature people would not be situated on this server. I also say fun because roleplaying is a thing I really love doing and this application serves to enforce roleplaying as the server states itself as a roleplaying one not a faction pvp chaos one. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've played on many faction server and I still have a team server and a normal town survival server that I still play on from time to time. Most faction server I quit because a server with no-whitelist holds a potential for many hackers and I play legit so those kinds of servers I've learned to stay away from. I've heard about this server months ago but never really had the heart t ofill this out because of my young age. Things have changed now and I will enjoy playing on this server! Link To Second: ~~~2nd Application~~~ In-Character: Character Name: Halt_Kithalnor What Race are you?: I am fascinated by the elves so my preferable race is being an elf. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I would like to be a wood elf. A legendary master with the bow but loves to get drunk, adventure, and fight. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Halt_Kithalnor was born in Aegis. More specifically he was born in the first capitol of Malinor. Halt was born in Laurelin. He was indeed a happy child. But then again everyone was happy in Laurelin. It was concealed in a dense forest with towering trees and the capitol iteself was hidden right in the centre. It was a safe place to be in. People loved when they felt safe so many races had lived there as well. Because of this, Halt grew up with dwarves, humans, as well as fellow elves. He was saddened because of the number of orphan friends he had. Parents who died of sickness or tradgedies. A very fortunate child Halt was indeed because of the fact that both his parents were with him. Halt_Kithalnor loved both of his parents. His mother was a beautiful human woman that went by the name of Lady_Kaitlyn_Kithalnor. She was nurturing and always happy. Halt's father however was a mighty man indeed. He was an elf that went by the name of Elder_Daeron_Kithalnor. But held different aspects. Not nurturing but rather smart, quick, and useful. Everyday, Daeron would take his son Halt to a special part in the woods where Halt would train his skills. Everyday for hours he trained his archery, throwing skills, concealed movement, and even swordsmanship and with daggers. For Daeron knew it was not only important to practice long range but close-quarters as well. But Halt did not only learn weaponry. He learned other stuff as well. He learned math, the way of the elements, tree cutting, agility and many other aspects as well. Halt was always fond of each other. He didn't hate the hard training everyday. He enjoyed it rather for he knew that this training would come useful one day. Life went on. Training, and chores, Training, and chores. There were events however from time to time. But life was too perfect. And more important disastrous matters were discussed with the elders. Halt was informed for his father participated in the elder council as well. When Halt heard of the matters his father discussed, he was terrified. According to the intelligence force of Aegis, the Undead had came upon Aegis for one purpose only...Destruction. Many towns fell. Almost all of them did. And many people had prayed for the last three(Krugmar, The Cloud Temple, and Laurelin) to not fall. But our family had fled. And the choice was right for after we had left, Laurelin was an unholy land after the death of Vardak. And in the crater left by the death of Vardak, a portal stood. The portal to the land of the Iblees. We took refuge in the vast forests waiting for rumors or confirmed news. We had heard that the remaining nations had sent their finest champions to the portal seeking the end of this tradgedy. And the champions managed. The hero Urir Ire'heart had sacrificed himself in the nexus hoping that this action would serve Aegis good. And it did. For the connection between our realm and the Iblees was shut off. Soon after this happened, a mage under the name of BlunderMore had pieced together a map and followed it to a broken ancient portal. He had read that the Verge was the only way out. Many had listened to BlunderMore so they set out to the Verge to build ships. And the iblees yet again came into Aegis from the void with dragons. And those who stayed in Aegis were...killed. After hearing these rumors we too had travelled to the void. And we made it just in time for the ships were finished, and in an hour were departing. However our family had to be separated. This damn inconveniance was acause to Halt's mother being Human and Halt's dad being elven. So I was separated from my mother who told me not to worry. But I did worry. I cried everyday and night that passes after the voyage. I cried untill we arrived... Untill we arrived to the land called Asulon. So we finally hit land and went off the ship. But we were the only ones there. And we also assumed that the other ships are elsewhere in this land. And because of this...my father had ran away i nsearch of our mother. I was left alone. Alone with the elven race. We'd have to build a new land altogether now. New towns...New villages...So we set off to work. Halt_Kilthalnor is a wood elf. He has blonde hair and tanned skin. His eyes are emerald and almost mesmerizing. He wears normal camoflauge that blends in with the forests. He is 75 years old but as swift as ever. He is really friendly and loves to get drunk at the closest tavern. Once he is drunk, his vision is blurred and when walking can stumble however Halt could still shoot an enemy if he had to. Above all he loves adventures. What are your Character's ambitions?: Halt_Kithalnor has but one ambition. To find both of his parents in the unfamiliar land of Asulon. And he is determined to do it. And he will persevere to achieve this goal untill the end. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): My character's favorite tool is an axe as an elf. He is skilled at cutting trees but his skills with the bow are legendary. Halt's favorite weapon is his bow of course which never leaves him. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? As I have mentioned a lot of times, Halt's most skilled talents is his archery. He draws arrows fairly fast but doesn't shoot if you are not a threat. Read bio please:) Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Halfing: "You'll pay for this! I assure you!" Warrior#2: "Yeah you little baby? Who will pay? There's noone near us." Warrior#1: "Just give us your belongings and less harm will be done." Halt_of_Araluen: "Lads, you are mistaken, for I am near you and if you walk away less harm will be done you you."(Says this after stepping out of the forest) Warrior#1: "Another little arse getting in our way eh? How about we show him friend?" Warrior#2: "You'll wish you were at your cozy home instead Stranger but you left us no choice!" (Both warriors charge with their sword unsheated) (Warrior#1 attempts a strike but Halt dodges ready to strike when he sees in his Phoreferal vision that Warrior#2 swings his sword) (Warrior#2 stumbles nearly hitting the other warrior) (Halt flips backwards landing in a crouched position on his knee drawing his bow but waiting) Warrior#1: "Stranger! Please we meant no harm to the halfling!" Halt: "And I mean no harm to you if you run away." (Halt says this still aiming his bow) (Both warriors run away scared out of their wits but yelling curse words in the air) Halfling: " Mister, what name do you go by? I must surely remember the man who saved my life! What can I offer you as a reward? " Halt: "My name is Halt_Kithalnor. I seek no reward and go along now and don't run into any trouble!" Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Merchant(person in the stall) :"Hello there stranger! Looking for anything in particular today? My stocks are refreshed with new products!" Halt: "I'm looking for a tavern around here, but how much for the quiver of arrows?" Merchant:" An archer are ya? Travel along this road and take 2 lefts and you'll be at the finest tavern in Alras! As for the quiver of arrows, it would be 13 minas" Halt: "And you're a fine bussinessman as well! Thank you for the information and here is your rightful minas" (Halt and the merchant exchange the quiver for the minas, and Halt goes on his way to the tavern) Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: (Halt hears twigs snapp in the backround and turns around) (A man enters the house confused at this strange visitor) Man: "I'm Norgoth but if I may ask who are you and what bussiness do you have in my hut?" Halt: " Hello Norgoth. I go by the name of Halt_of_Araluen, and this hut has caught my eye." Man: "Quite a nice place I have here huh? Not rumaging through my chest were you?" Halt: " It's a nice place indeed and I am not a thief. However I do suggest hiding your chest for it wouldn't take a thief long to get the loot from this chest." (Starts walking out the door) Man: " Well thank you for your prescence and thank God you're not a thief, I'll follow you advice!" (And with that, Halt puts on his hood and smiles as he walks away) Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Guard: " Halt! Who goes there!" Halt: " Yes Halt is my name." (Guard reddens a little at the fact and apologizes) Halt: " I am looking for a place to stay and if I might, would you be sellign any food for I am starving!" Guard: " Why we certaintly are lad! Speak to the man in the stall wearing green. His name is Gundalf." (Halt thanks the guard and walks towards Gundalf) Halt: "Aye Gudalf! Have food for sale I hear?" Gundalf: " I suppose the guard told you my name? And yes, 3 minas per apple!" (Halt pays 6 minas and recieves two apples and continues his journey) You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: (Halt raises his hand for support and sets out towards the camp with the two other who volonteered) Halt: "So me lads, the plan is to to eliminate the thieves but watch each other's back. I will be at a distance at first but then I'll help." Men: "Understood!" (Set of charging to the camp not noticing the thief concealed in the bushes) Halt: "Watch OUT!" (Runs at the thief and throws a dagger at him but the thief easily swings to one side making the dagger hit the bushes) (Man#1 throws himself at the thief putting him in guard position while man#2 swings his sword at the thief killing him) (Because of all the comotion the whole camp of three thieves and the leader start charging at us three) Halt: "4vs3. Stand your ground men! We'll finish them!" (Halt climbs up a tree distracting the thieves and reality struck the men and they stood where they are) (Halt then jumped at the theives but it was a fake attack, while the two men charged the thieves killing two thieves who were confused) (The remaining thief and the leader charge one man sectioning off the other) (Realizing what's happening, Halt jumped on the thief's back only to get smashed to the ground, and as he raises his dagger, man#2 stabs him in the back but it was too late for man#1...lay unconcious on the ground, blood spilled from their chests) (Halt grieved for a mere second when he saw the leader of the thieves running away in a limp) (Halt drew his bow, and fired. But not at the heart, but the leg bringing the leader down) (We gave man#1 a proper burial and we carried the leader to the town for justice to be brought opon them) Halt: " I bet you'd prefer it if we all lived through that fight eh?" Man#2:" Yes..I do.. I wish he were still alive to claim the reward." Halt:" Don't worry lad. He died with honor and the thieves are skilled fighters indeed. Don't worry. Thing will get better." And with that..Halt and man#2 claim their rewards and go separate ways. Halt however went to the inn to rest so his injuries will be finally healed. Anything else you would like to say?: Yes there is something I would like to say. This is my third application. In all three I have changed my bio ENTIRELY. I made three different bios. And two different character personalities. I have chosen a new name for my character as well. Please consider this well for I really want to see how this servers like. It also adds to my perseverence. Three long applications just because I want to play. Most 13 year olds would not go through an hour or two of their day to write this. But I did. Thank you. -Adam
