I tried shooting an arrow. The sound and pull back was there but no arrow fired, yet it ate up an arrow of mine.

Kote reads the report with great intrest. "Sounds... Interesting. A scholar like myself am most curious about this."

*Elrun walks towarea the city gate, a smile on his face. He sees an Elf and says in a soft voice, "Open the gate, but don't let anyone know I'm here." They elf does as he's told. Elrun walks into the city and makes his way to the busy tavern/inn. He enters quietly and sits down, hood covering his eyes and cloak covering his body. Everyone looks at the strange elf. Some whisper to each other, others ignore him. Then, an elf goes and and says, "Oi! Who are you?" Elrun stands up and takes off his hood, showing his face to the crowd and says, "I am Elrun, proud Justicar of the silver city, and I have returned."

You see a note on a table in the tavern. It is nice and seems to come from the college. It reads: Dear Elves of Haelun'or, I, Kote Vulathri, the Clever Snake, am leaving. I have some "certain" things I need to take care of elsewhere. I cannot say where I am or what business I have. I can only say that I am to leave, and most likely never come back as I will most likely die on this endeavor, or never return. It pains me greatly to leave. I have also left the keys of the college to a young man with a mask. Let this be my note of death, for I am most likely going to die. Lucion Sullas- My great llir, I shall miss you greatly. Keep your children and wife safe from danger and the plague. Arthane Lazul- Another of my acquaintances. This is exactly what I think. I really think of it as being a good RP experience for me, and others that I interact with. I really agree with you about the fun of learning. Thats why I'm very eager to learn magic (me and cataris have worked some stuff out). Learning is half of the fun of magic, and rolling a magic char is VERY unlikely. I've seen many apps denied because their char got magic off the bat. Not only is that power gaming, but it reduces the fun of the learning of the art of MAGIC! (I like being dramatic ;) )

I'd like to state that I have yet to meet a wizard that lives or has pledged their allegiance to Haelun'or. I think this is because: 1. We live in a pretty isolated area, and makes wizards to come by, and actually live in our blessed town a rarity. 2. We usually don't take Humans in. Many mages (from what I can tell) are human, which typically don't live in Haelun'or. 3. The mages guild is located elsewhere and to be part of it you have to attend to meetings, so living in Haelun'or and having to go halfway across the map (I don't know where they meet) then come back is an inconvenience so they would rather near the meeting place/base of operations of the Mages Guild. 4. In all truthfulness, there aren't as many people who are willing to roll another character as High Elf and be a mage, the chances of it happening are lower than per say, somebody wanting to make a human mage. (Most of this is probably because more people want to play as what they are comfortable with, themselves. (or at least a close version of themselves) (hey look! parentheception!))

I'll lock and try to get a FM or GM to delete it.

((interesting. Thanks for all the tips. Since I'm not very well know IC or OOC I probably won't get the attention of the Mage's Guild. I'll probably try to contact Cataris OOCly to chat a bit. I'll most likely learn from him.))

Its not, the HE are just talking about this at this moment. Hmmm, time to make a post seeing if there's a mage out there who is willing to get an apprentice. (4th time I believe? Wink wink to all of you mages in/near Haelun'or)

Okay, I see now. But my current char CAN become a Mage correct? I would just need to find a teacher (for the third time, wink wink to mages) Edit: If I wanted my current char to be a Mage, would I need to post an app for him?
