  1. This is an alternative account for nickdabeast135 (Taurren) Out-Of-Character Main Minecraft Account Name: nickdabeast135 Alternate Minecraft Account Name: peasant1 In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is: Roleplaying is taking up the role of a certain character. Whether it be a witch, an orc, or a dwarf, you play as if you were that character. You must play with their personalities, rather than your own. A good roleplayer will abstain from letting personal qualities affect your game play, and acting the best they can to be like their character. In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is: Metagaming is using out of character knowledge to benefit oneself within the game. In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is: Power gaming is forcing something against someone, and not giving them a chance to react. For example, “the man cuffs the bandit” is powergaming, because the bandit has no chance to have a say in what happens. A better way to handle it would be to give the bandit a fair chance: “the officer pulls out a pair of cuffs, preparing to cuff the bandit.” The bandit there has a chance to react, and will do as he will. Power gaming is also creating a somewhat invincible character, one that has no weaknesses. Someone who does not power game makes a character that has weaknesses, and has vulnerable points. In-Character: Character Name: Tusk What Race are you?: Orc What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): (not decided one as of now) Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Tusk grew up in the orc capital, Krugmar, working as a laborer for the warlord. He was born and raised in Asulon, and has no knowledge of the former land of Aegis. Being around 8 feet tall, he is very strong, and does alot of the heavy-duty work. He chops trees down, hauls heavy amounts of stone, and stacks heavy blocks for the new buildings in the city. All through his young life, he was treated pretty bad. He never had a chance to be educated, but he did learn from experience how to use an axe. He may not be very smart, but using that mighty axe all day to cut trees down made him very handy with it. When he was very young, Tusk had no home, and wondered the roads of Krugmar asking for food. One day, an orc convinced him to come live with him. He worked for him, and in return was fed, and given a small tent. He specifically works for a strong orc named Marog. He is somewhat of a pet/slave to this orc, and will do anything he asks, out of fear. He is easily satisfied, and is happy living in his small tent in the orc capital. He is simply the average orc, but a head taller, and very strong. Tusk is not very smart, and can be fooled easily. Being an orc, he has a lot of pride in his race. He sees other races as inferior, and treats them so. To him, because elves, humans, and dwarves are smaller, (most of the time) he believes he is better than them. Tusk may be very big and strong, but he does not know his strength, and is somewhat timid around other orcs. He is a young orc, only aging 20, and being the average orc, he spends most of his free time hunting, or training with his axe. He also enjoys fishing, but does so with his bare hands. He may one day, join the ranks of the warlord’s army, or find a pack of orcs to live with. What is your Character's ambitions?: Tusk’s intentions are to make new companions, join a few guilds, and overall, become a strong, loyal orc to Krugmar. (I’ve seen that the orcs have become a little unbalanced with the rest of the races. As in they have a lower number than that of the other races.) What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): His favorite tool is by far the axe, considering he doesn’t know how to use any of the others. He sees it as the all around tool, because it can be used as a weapon, and a collective tool. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Some of his quality skills are: a very loyal worker, doesn’t ask too many questions, and good with an axe. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): It will be at the bottom of the post Other Information about your Character: Overall, Tusk will follow any one that offers him a good deal. He will be a pet to some, because he is easy to take advantage of. Some other characteristics he has are: he has a scar behind his ear, (youll find out about that in the last section of the application) a bit of a deformed head, he is ugly, and his appearance is quite frightening. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Tusk would simply walk on by, grunting at the inferior races around him. Not caring much about any one but himself, he only concerns himself on matters that involve him. Other than that, he mostly keeps to himself. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? yub. mi don’t need many of things. But mi master blah that mi needs to get him sum fresh iron armor. Do latz have what me needs? The man rummages through his things, finding a set of fresh armor. I think that I can supply you with what you need. The prices is 900 minas. *tusk does not know the economy well, and goes along with the prices, not realizing that the merchant has abused him. Tusk returns to his master with the armor, feeling proud that he has done something right for once. Or so he thought… His master says to him: ah gud, latz brought me back armor. How much did latz pay fer it? 900 shinies. 900 shinies?! Latz are a glob!(fool) Latz were cheated!! How could latz pay such a high price?! *his master becomes angry, and Tusk is sent to be tortured and beaten for his stupidity Mi is sorry… mi… mi… *after being beaten, he would limp back to his tent, and begin sharpening his axe angrily against the merchant that cheated him. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Seeing the iron bars, Tusk would quickly put them into his satchel. As for the sword, he would not care much about it, Being too dumb to take and sell it. After taking his newly found treasures, he would run home, and hide them in his home. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Seeing the people, he runs to them. He approaches them, begging them for some food. Can latz give me sum food? Me be very hungry… Of course we can! Here take this. One of the men hand him a nicely wrapped package of bread, and Tusk takes it, opening it only to be disappointed. Whats wrong? Mi dunnae know what dis is… wheres da meat? The men are confused, but go along with him. Here, take this. A man holds up some freshly cooked pork. WHAT HAVE LATZ DONE WITH IT?!?! ITS RUINED!!! The men are still confused, but a wild boar appears in the gateway they are standing in. Tusk’s eyes light up. mmmmmm. dat luks gud… *he licks his lips, and approaches the boar. Quickly, he grabs the boar up with his two hands, and begins ripping into it, sinking his tusks into it. The animal whimpers, then dies as Tusk eats it uncooked. (pretty much saying all he eats is uncooked meats) He then leaves, fully fed. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Tusk takes up his axe, only because they offered him money. He agrees to help the town, and they pay him extra, knowing that he will be stronger than the average guard. As he walks down the road with the others, they strike fear into the bandits with their numbers, causing them to flee from the town guard. A bit of bloodlust overcomes Tusk, and he chases after the now fleeing bandits alongside the other guards. Being a relatively fast runner, he catches up to one of the fleeing bandits, and shoves him to the ground. The man regains his feet quickly, and draws his sword, but not as quick as Tusk, who has his axe ready. A fight commences, and Tusk brings his axe upon the man. The man blocks his first few attacks, and swings his blade at Tusk’s head. Tusk is struck behind the ear, and instantly becomes enraged. He swings his axe randomly, and manages to pound his axe into the mans chest. The man lies upon the ground panting, and Tusk grunts as he brings his axe down once more, killing the bandit. Tusk returns to the town with the other guards, carrying the sword of the dead bandit. He lifts up his now bloody axe, and promises that they won’t return. He accepts the minas they pay him, and admire him as he walks away from the town. Thanks for taking the time to read my application. I am really looking forward to playing this second character.

He agrees to help the town, and they pay him extra, knowing that he will easily kill 2-3 of the men. As he walks down the road with the others, he strikes fear into the bandits, causing them to flee from the town guard. A bit of bloodlust overcomes him, and he chases after them. Being very fast, he catches up to two of the fleeing bandits, and lets his axe fly. He brings down two of them in one swing, and returns to the town guard panting. He lifts up his now bloody axe, and promises that they wont return. He accepts the minas they pay him, and admire him as he walks away from the town. Thanks for taking the time to read my application. I am really looking forward to playing this second character.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I’d say aroun 5-10 hours a week, maybe more, depending on what I’m doing. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is where you take up the role of a character, and do what he/she would do in situations, rather than what you would do. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Well, I have another character on LotC, Taurren Blackaxe, I have played skyrim, assasins creed, and a few others. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta gaming is using out of character knowledge to benefit you within the game. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power gaming is making your character somewhat of an all-powerful god. Power gaming is really bad for role play, because each character must have his/her strengths and weaknesses. An example of Power gaming: with the new fast travel, an orc goes to a stable, looking to get somewhere. A good role-player would be honest, and say the he either does, or does not know how to ride a horse. If he does not, he would have to learn. A power gamer would show bad role-play, and simply all of a sudden, know how to ride a horse very well. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Tusk grew up in the orc capital, working as a laborer for the warlord. Being around 9 feet tall, he was very strong, and did much of the heavy-duty work. He chopped trees down, hauled heavy amounts of stone, and stacked heavy blocks for the new buildings in the city. All through his young life, he was treated pretty bad. He never had a chance to be educated, but he did learn from his father how to use an axe. He may not be very smart, but using that mighty axe all day to cut trees down made him very handy with it. Tusk may be very big and strong, but he does not know his strength, and is somewhat timid around other orcs. He will do whatever the leading orcs tell him, more out of fear than anything. He is easily satisfied, and is happy living in his small tent in the orc capital. He is simply the average orc, but 2 heads taller, and very strong. Tusk is not very smart, and can be fooled easily. Being an orc, he has a lot of pride in his race. He sees other races as inferior, and treats them so. (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): His favorite tool is by far the axe, considering he doesn’t know how to use any of the others. How could latz pay such a high price?! *his master becomes angry, and Tusk is sent to be tortured and beaten for his stupidity Mi is sorry… mi… mi… *after being beaten, he would limp back to his tent, and begin sharpening his axe against the merchant that cheated him.
