    Curators of Light

    280px-Cleric_devoted.png?version=d6c433d

    The Council:

The council is comprised of four members, each one holder of a certain task.

Hosper ((Hosper)):- Reader, the holder of artifacts and protector of Tahariae’s library.
Lyuin ((SoulessScone)):- Delegate, the orders face to clerics and others alike.
Galan ((Pandann)):- Chaplain, the preserver of Tahariae’s ideals and bringer of faith.
Unfilled ((N/A)):- Preceptor, the highest of teachers, ensuring the words are passed with ease.

Above the all resides the tiebreaker of the council, the voice of Tahariae in this realm. His Judgement. His words are Tahariaes’ own and is an advisor and guide to the council, upon occasion where a vacant slot is present in the council he will take on these duties till a time it is filled once again.

Ivanus ((dandan1350)):- Judgement, the voice, will and embodiment of Tahariae in this realm.

    The Patron:

    https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/123510-tahariae-aengul/

    Goal:

Curators, custodian, keeper. All words that describe the inevitable goal the children of Tahariae strive to achieve. A realm free from the blinding and daunting grasp of darkness and taint, forever striving for a true world of perfection, nothing hindering the purity. They aim to preserve such purity as if it were a museum exhibit; cased within glass and presented for all to bare witness to and yet never touch. Those that dare shatter the protecting glass shall only become victim to the blessed capabilities of the curators.

    Ranks:

    Conservator -

The very basic rank of initiation, you’ll be placed here before those of the council deem you appropriate to move up and accept the roles of such positions.

    Custodian -

The first of the ranks awarded to those trained within the basic of priest healing, capable of completing their duty of healing the many innocent that linger upon this realm.

    Keeper -

After contributing to the order you’ll find yourself given the opportunity to become that of a war-cleric, using your once passive connection to either defend those against evil or perish it from our realm.

    Overseer -

Once one has shown they’re capable of presenting Tahariae’s will and words with precision, they’ll be offered the authority to teach the conservators of our order, bringing their knowledge and skill towards the standard of Custodian or Keeper.

    Warden -

A title not given lightly. When one does an act of grand nature, or offers more contribution than even the grandest Overseer’s they are rewarded this title our of honor.

    Location:

The Curators currently reside in the Brotherhood of the Lions keep, taking up temporary residence there until a more permanent and secure location is confirmed.

    The Rights:

Within the order several rights are followed, each must be followed or face removal from both the order and your serving beneath Tahariae.

    1) The right to be taught the words and teachings of Tahariae, along with the capability to use such within defense and offense.

    2) The right to defend those of innocence, never harbouring or assisting those that dare inflict impurity upon the mortal realm.

    3) The right to protect your brethren and be protected by them, never allowing one to fall victim without risking that of your own life first.

    History:

    - The First Founding

The clerical order is an order from almost the beginnings of Aegis. It was founded by a young brother and sister training to be monks in the Cloud Temple. Their names were Rebekah and Jacob. The both spent so much time praying to God and to the Aenguls and Daemons that they were smiled upon and blessed. They both were given the abilities to perform works for the gods and to commune with them on a higher level. The duo walked the width of Aegis spreading the light of the gods and growing the ranks of the Clerical Order they had started for those wanting to have this closeness to the gods. For a time they brought on a time of light to Aegis and were a large group called upon by all the nation for aid and counsel. It was the golden era of the clerics.

-The Fading of the Clerical Order

Years after the death of Jacob and Rebekah, the Undead and Ascended first arose. The Order, without the guidance of the founders, had not grown and the most powerful clerics had all died out with none coming to take their place. The people of Aegis had lost faith in the Clerics and with the coming of the Ascended no one called upon the clerics at all. The Ascended became the new light and the Clerics faded from memory.

    -The Rediscovery

Years after the Clerical Order had fallen completely from memory and the war of the Undead and Ascended was at its peak, Thrym Silverfist, a young smith, became a cleric. He knew nothing of the original order but wanted to learn more about any clerics there may have been in the past. He went to his family manor, the Irongut manor, and studied long hours in the library. After long hours of searching and praying he found a early journal of Heron Irongut, written before he had fallen, in it he found mention of Heron discovering a clerical order in the Temple Library. Thrym set out at once and spent over a day in the Library searching for the text. Once he found it he begged the Druid Order to let him copy it to form a new Clerical Order. After talking it over the Order agreed. Thrym has now set out to make a new Clerical Order and is in search of other who want to become servants of the gods. The ascended have become few in this day and age and cannot spread light everywhere without help. This Order will help it happen.

    -The void of Asulon

There are no known notable accounts of Asulon besides the presence of Adeon Baldwin, though his journeys and actions remain hidden from the orders knowledge.

    -A second founding

The disappearance of the Prophet Blaxis Silversmile led to the collapse and disappearance of the previous clerical order, the remnants of the order fleeing to the protection under the Arcane Delvers and settling themselves within their grounds. At the appearance of an elf who pledge his sword in Braxis’ absence to Hosper and vowed to return the order to its former glory. Months past and eventually a home was built for the order to run out of before the Harbinger war began.

The wars accounts unimportant as already documented, the true gain out of the war was the creation of the four Itharel under Tahariae. They led as a council during the war times and soon vanished once the Fringe was vacated for another land. Only to reappear on once again another founding of the order.

    -The Alliance

After the many years spent in combat together close bonds between the paladins of Xan and clerics of Tahariae began to form, most notably by Herun and Daniel due to their service in the Golden Lance together. Together they formed the Sacred light order though the conflicts in the patrons belief led to conflict and the order collapsed after a decade in service. From there the clerical order began to fade, barely doing what one could call living.  The survival of its current state only due to the hard efforts of a unnamed few.

Finally the voice of the Stag spoke out to the Itharel still in his service and instructed them to take the mantle and to create a successful order, threatening it as their one and final chance to save Tahariaes’ name that had been stained and to redeem themselves. Thus the Curators were formed.

To become one amongst the ranks, seek out those of our council.

  4. "Well you wont start walking if I don't let you crawl first.." He grumbled from behind the counter, pushing himself up and dusting off the collective dirt from the no doubt horrible conditions of the taverns counter top.

"I shan't offer my support nor my guidance besides this - Equivalent exchange. For one sin their must be one good deed fulfilled." He slowly makes his way round, eyeing the armour clad man who wore the skin of his own with a hint of disgust present on his face.

"I also shall ask you, would you side with a man who would wear my brothers skin? One who has defaced and made blood weep from his chosen as he so evidently shows as if a trophy of this accomplishment. His attire is of poor choice. Anyway! Decide it yourself, neither Lyuin nor I shall have a say in the matter." He looks to Lyuin with a slight glare to confirm his point to him before forcing a smile on his lips and returning his attention to the gathered.

    "Remember, equivalent exchange."

  5. "I wondered who stole my clothes off the drying line.." He mumbled as he sauntered past 'the quiet one' and made for the bar. Hoping himself over the counter and landing flatly on the other side sprawled across the floor, miserably failing the landing. A large bang resonating as he hits the floorboards and a small 'oof' escaping him. He remains laid down for a short time.

  6. Did I hear.. Itharel? ;)

Loving the lore, swgr. Glad you found an IC way to solve the inactivity of the wraiths. Hopefully in the near future Itharel can begin to duel with wraiths once more.

As to Sky for the mentions arch-itharel, we already have a entity who can willing choose and remove Itharels. To create a new rank would sadly be pointless. Though commonly found between the four, Judgement being deemed as Tahariaes enforcer is often found as the 'lead' Itharel so you could consider him as Arch-Itharel title wise.

  7. "Honestly you think I make these judgements myself? Tahariae commands me, I do not act against my will. And so he has come down and spoken to me and few others of this. Now to say I abandoned my post is to lie, I resigned and placed another in my stead while I took away and went to deal with more pressing matters within the realm then trying to lead an order that hated me. And I'm afraid you'd lose your wager towards Skale as I can assure you I've done more then this order has since it was put together. Though I am glad to hear of the new hymns that are to be produced. As for spending my time in Avalon then tends to happen when you live there."

He brings his attention towards Jakir.

"And if you were so true about being in service of Tahariae you would not reject his voice like you do now. Do not turn this into more conflict. Take your leave if you will."

He brings his attention towards Heshakomeu now with a nod and a sigh.

"Before my time serving I was a man of a bloody past, an executioner of the now crumbled Oren empire and a knight of the people. I killed many for their crimes and do regret my actions. I have faced and continue to face trials and punishment for my actions. But what I never did was work with ruinous power. That is something I shall never do.

Now I can continue with the second part of this meeting or shall we continue attacking and insulting the messenger? As you all seem to have some belief that it was I who summoned you here and I who makes these demands. It is your patron who does this, that is why we all received the vision to assemble upon these peaks."

  8. Darkness further consumed the lands of Athera, no matter what each little victory the four races bought themselves the ever growing plains of taint spread their corruption further and dug their claws deeper into the earth. The druids grove had proven what the races idle actions had caused, the great power thought slumbered had disappeared and vanished into nothingness had burst forth without warning and spread chaos in the blink of an eye. There, resting in his marble crafted throne resting a towering figure of immense power and elegance, his eyes closed. The Itharel stood before his patron without a word, head bowed and stuck in a submissive silence before finally speaking out.

“My lord.. I cannot do this alone, your last champion beseeches you for help? Have I not crusaded and fought for everything you have wished for? I have and will lay down my soul in your service till my body withers to nothing but I cannot travel this path alone. Gift onto me more brothers for my fight.”

The Itharel soon fell silent and bowed his head once more awaiting the voice to speak, and so it did. A graceful and elegant voice echoed throughout the halls as he spoke his reply to him.

“So it shall be done, I shall break the chains of captivity that shackle your brethren to the earthly realm and let them stand by your side in tomorrows to come. Go now, my son and prepare for the day.”

The Itharel vision wavered as his body grew weak and his legs buckled beneath him. Collapsing to the ground and his vision soon growing bleary before becoming a black swamp of blindness all together. He awoke to his previous body, sat in its meditative stance within the halls of the Sacred lights keep. Weary and aching he slowly stood to make off in preparations for the event.

    -(~)+(~)-

Weeks had passed since then and so had the preparations that the Itharel and gone underway. Slowly and cumbersomely the trio climbed the mountains once more where they would return to the keep. Reaching the mighty marble stairwell that would lead them further into its lands he paused and glanced off to a beaten track, gesturing them to following and heading off past overgrown bushes and tangling vines.

Further across the jagged path besides the mountain edge they travelled before finally meeting a cave entrance that grew heavily with the same over-grown life and ferns in its chaotic mess.

“Speak nothing until the question arises, my friends. Your words are useless here.”

There they entered the caves before a sudden wash of light flooded over them before finally dispersing to reveal a underground paradise of small streams, beautiful meadows and a platform sitting directly in the middle housing four large crystals of a golden shade. The Itharel turned to face the two as they brought themselves upon the platform. “Rosencrantz, Leyuin.. I know very little about you both truly, I wish you luck in your upcoming trial.”

He turned once more and stepped his way out and exiting the cave leaving the two in their awkward silence to look about the surroundings. Before long an inquisitive wisp of light descended from the shadows of the caverns roof and stood in front of them. A voice following it shortly after.

Do not fear. For I are what you seek to be. Today you decide your tomorrows. You shall gain what you so seek…. Walk I tell you. Come into the light and break the bonds that have held you captive. Destroy the fear and hate that has plagued you as mortals. Allow mental limits to be a thing of your past.”

The youngest of the Clerics was the first to act he began attempted to step forward, but as he did it seemed he was being held back as if chained. A look of shock ran across his face. As this happened the wisp spoke to the pair again.

“The journey shall not be an easy one. These bonds have held you for your entire existance. To break them is to change your very being. Join me on this side of those barriers and see your path.Become more than a mortal caught in the crosswinds of gods, and bind your life to my light.”

The shackles fell free of the youngest and he was allowed to step forward and embrace the light that seeped from the empty crystal upon the platform. Its golden carcass began to split as it engulfed the cleric without a sound and closed around him. Its shell hardening and trapping the cleric within its depths.

The wisp hovered infront of the second, older looking cleric now. The second crystals carcass began to open and its golden light called out to Rosencrantz. The cleric faltered in his step before surging forwards with a renewed vigor and entrapping himself into the crystals clutches. The carcass hardened again and the two were sealed.

A further week past where Daniel had taken guardianship over the caverns entrance awaiting their entrance before he heard a low clanking of heavy plate as it strided towards the cavern entrance. Standing himself up with a grin of amusement he looked to the two paled and weary clerics with a tilt of his head.

“Welcome my brothers, you are his champions now.”

    And so Aldrik was born.
    “Hope.”

    And so Tulrínn was born.
    “Valor.”

((tl:dr two new itharel to replace the two we lost recently))

  9. "Honestly if you had even half the wit your past generations had.. I amongst the council have and will continue to constantly deny every single member who has been stripped of his power or thrown from his patrons grace when they are so ill-fit to be additions to the clerics. Everyone of those you speak of I objected to fiercely to the point I nearly drew blades in a duel against the others while in that council and I still regret their decisions. Now the Itharel objecting me have gone from this world I am left to push forward my case and remove them. As for your attempt to take on their crimes, you will be punished for your idiocy but the true blame falls upon the council who allowed such to be placed in our ranks, it is despicable they did accepted them and allowed them to get this far. Take your seat and hold your tongue, Cleric. My judgement stands."

His gaze drifts to Jakir now with a look of disgust hidden beneath his hood.

"As for you, fallen one. You are not welcome in my patrons halls, your service is over and you are dismissed. Take your leave now."

  10. Daniel sighed as he rolled his neck and opened his eyes finally from the long hours spent in complete silence and stillness. Peeking about to the now filling mats clerics and Chantry men he gave a small nod and rose from his mat. Stepping up and entering into the middle of the four quadrants.

"To the assembled I welcome you to these old halls once more with less then pleasant problems to present to you. But I also come with demands, demands that will be met. I have spent decades serving this order since the times of Anthos when I swore myself from blade and took up life as a priest under Hosper and Sirius training however as always in this world blades are needed more then healers as I was forced to take up arms once more under a much more holy name of Tahariae and so I have until this day. And what I wish to speak to you now of is the descent and bastardization of the order that has dragged itself across the dirt just to survive since our leaving in the Fringe lands when I went to serve with the Golden Lance in hopes to destroy Setherien. I was succesful but found upon my return others has taken up the mantle and I was disliked by many in the order, these 'priests' as some would dare to title them were disrespectful and denying of me and so I left once more to serve permanently under another guidance. His name was Jack. Time past and further the order fell into the shadows, its only strong point being where it merged into the Sacred light and our bond with our sister order was stronger then ever before as was our power but of course that soon came to an end when internal conflicts erupted of the two orders different moralities and we were forced to separate and go out into the world again with what little numbers we had left. But enough with my history, I'm sure my friend here could have told you more pleasant and well worded stories then myself.

I came here to make my demands heard and followed without little question so first I shall address, the Chantry. Your order is well guided, strong in nature and moral. You are both bladesmen and healer, a perfect combination needed for this world and I have no seen you misstep once besides the most recent declaration of your order - The Boycott. I understand your reasoning and being against those who would banish Tahariae from their lands but we cannot and will not simply give in and allow an entire nation to succumb to darkness whilst we stand in our homes sulking and moping that we cannot spread our light further. Even if they will not let us cross their border then we will guard their border so that no evil may ever cross it. I will not let another boycott be attempted, the last led to the tainting of nearly an entire nation and it is against our patrons will. End the boycott and resume your normal activities, you have only tainted your name with these actions and only just arriving into this world will not give you a good presentation.

Secondly I shall address the issue of the second order, two issues in fact. Your religious teachings and followings along with the inclusion of heretics and cultists being allowed into your ranks but to also ascend into higher ranks. You know of who I speak and I will not present reasoning as I hope it is not necessary, purge them with all due haste and present their location to the us so we may break their connection to our patron or we will do so more forcefully and others will suffer for it.

Onto the religious issues at hand I notice a lack of proper followings, learning of hymns and prayers and teaching of what being a cleric is about. We are followers of a god, not mercenaries who use his armaments so easily with such disrespect. I demand and will that the order is to under go extensive religious knowledge teaching and to have a liaison who I will pick placed within your order and high ranks to began exercising the importance of these teachings.

There are more issues to attend to this summoning but these are the first few I shall present for now, let them sink in."

  11. The untidy halls sat empty, dirty and dust coated sets of armour lining the walls where once proud knights were posed to stand watch over the orders lands rested in their everlasting slumber. The rusted and grime coated gates were partially raised as far as the old mechanism would allow and faint but large bootprints had swabbed away a trail of a man walking into the once abandoned keep. The very same night the castle had been invaded by a foreign entity restless nights would fall over clerics of all. A vision, a dream more so would flood their sleeping minds more vivid than any other. They would find themselves within the deeps of a dark forest before a flash of blinding light erupted and before them stood a beautiful and elegant stag of pure white coat. The eerie quiet of the forest broke shortly after as a soft whisper guided through the air.

    jPZ0kCh.png

“To where the orders once stood as brothers, ascend the mountain and meet your lost brothers.”

The voice paused as the stag turned on its heels and made way into the forest.

    “You are summoned.”

The light faded and darkness consumed your rest once more, the dream over.

    -(~)-

Should one have heeded the call of this vision they would notice the beacons that were before unlit and dead now bright and alive, piercing cloud and sky to erupt into the heavens in a beautiful white light. They would step further up and begin to notice the majesty of the old keep was gone, replaced with a dark and eerie feel to its surroundings now. Lack of life evident besides where one man had done his best to clear rubble and brush from the path that were stacked up to the side.

    JWl93Up.png

The only room left with open doors was a large hall sporting paned glass windows of epic proportion, a story to be told on each pane of glass.  Around the room sat several dozens of mats, simple rugs of fabric that were separated up into quadrants. One section sporting only five rugs itself, two already occupied by a resting being in simple silver and crimson toned robes who sat legs crossed and deep in meditative thought and another by a older human in simple robes resting the same as the other. The mats were obvious for their use and were separated up into four different genres: The Clerical order, the Chantry, the Itharel and the independent clerics of no allegiance. Once you entered the men did not pay attention to you they only waited longer before more arrived.

((This I felt was a needed regroup and recalling to get the diverse and conflicting clerics back on the same track as each other, running the same race. Even if you’re trying to run ahead of us ;) and yes this is for all connected clerics. ))

  12. The cloaked man chuckles sensibly as he feels what he mistakes for a prickling 'pain' drill at his mind and reaches over to for the frosted over bottle of clear rum by his side. Taking another swig and then wrapping himself further in the depths of his furs and layers he continues his watch. "Sounds interesting, ey' Fredreich?"

  13. Eh...

I don't mean to be harsh or pompous in this, but I'm more impressed with the shaders and angles of these screenshots, than the builds within.

I find them to be rather mediocre and not outstanding in any aspect. Mayhaps you should practice some more and try to develop a style.

Also, it would give you a better chance at acceptance if you actually took the time to make builds for every single type of build the application asks for- you've left some blank.

    I won't -1, but I don't believe you're fit for ET builder.

Noted, will provide more actual screenies of my current building style with less fancy shaders, as that was quite sometime ago. None the less, newer building styles to come when back from work. Thanks!
