Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: My Minecraft Account name is Bmc777. How old are you?: I am nineteen years old. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I live in Florida, in the United States. EST Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: English is my native language, and I do not tend to use slang or any other form of improper pronunciation or speaking. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a recently enrolled college student looking to get involved with a new community of people and to just have fun. I am what most would call a "gamer", I especially enjoy RPG's. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: College definitely takes up a lot of time, and I do work a part-time job as well, regardless I could probably spend on average around 20 to 30 hours on the server weekly. More during the upcoming school break. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: To me, roleplaying is the taking on of a whole new personality, and character. Roleplaying allows people to interact with others differently than they normally would and experience the wonders of a world that they were never born in to. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've played many different MMO's before, and I tend to join the roleplaying servers on each. Examples are World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, and more recently, Star Wars the Old Republic. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Game is the act of using outside sources and information in a gaming setting, to progress in your game unfairly. An excellent example of Meta-Gaming is the use of strategy guides while playing any sort of video game. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: The act of Power-Gaming is basically putting one player in control of other players through different, generally unfair means. An example of this would be griefing. The Power-Gamer is the griefer because the victim normally has no way of countering the griefer. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect the server to be a relatively high populated server of players participating in role-playing. Through the use of this application process, I figure most of the non-serious players will be weeded out leaving only players wishing to have fun and role-play. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I really haven't played on any large-scale Minecraft servers before. That is not to say that I have never been on one, I have visited many but never found any of them to my liking, as they were not RP servers. I did host my own small survival-multiplayer server where four friends and I played together for a long time. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have, and I think they are fair and certainly agree to them. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? How did you hear about us?: Honestly, I typed in "Minecraft role-playing servers" on Google and ended up here after a while of sifting through some less appealing servers. In-Character: Character Name: Axelion Drustus What Race are you?: I am human. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Alas, I never stay in one place for too long, but most would say I am a northerner, due to my appearance. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): My tale is a short one indeed, but still painful to talk of, so I shall only tell it once, listen closely. I was born in the far northern reaches of Asulon, where exactly, I still am not sure. My mother died shortly after giving birth to me, leaving my poor father to care for me himself, he was a brave man. Together, we lived, no, we survived. My father never spoke much of his past, but I believe him to have been a high-ranking noble of a sort. He spoke quickly and precisely, never mispronouncing a syllable, I remember striving at an early age to imitate his way of speaking, as I found that it sounded both witty and authoritative. I think that my father may have been on the run, for what crime I know not. We never stayed in one place long. For eighteen years of my life, it was just my father and I, we traveled far and wide. He taught me the laws of the land, how to hunt, and many other survival techniques. I loved him more than anything in all of the land. Unbeknownst to me, my father had caught some sort of sickness shortly after my eighteenth birthday. By the time I took notice, the symptoms were severe, and sadly my father, whom raised me by himself, died only a few short weeks later. Suddenly, I found myself alone in a hard, unforgiving world. I knew not what to do with myself. After some time wandering the wilderness, I began to become interested in the world I had never experience with my father, civilization. I have never seen a city before, and can count the amount of people I have talked to on my hands. Even so, I know it is time to leave my loneliness behind, and make a name for myself. It is time for the adventure of a lifetime. OOC- Axelion Drustus is a strong-willed and determined man. Due to a life of solitude, he does not know much about the social world. Axelion is a witty, experience hunter and survivalist. Axelion wears a simple green wool shirt, with a leather hunting jacket and dyed blue leather pants. Axelion is of average height and weight, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and is extremely quick and agile. Axelion is skilled with the bow, and knows how to get around without being heard. What is your Character's ambitions?: With my father gone, I feel that it is time to venture out into the world and make a name for myself. I want to become noticed by society, and learn about my past, and the mysteries of this land. I do not know much of it's history, my father was a quiet man, but I hope to become more knowledgeable, and one day be known by all, by what means I do not yet know. I have even heard of some sort of skill called magic, of which I hope to learn more about and perhaps even master it. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): I do not wish to brag, but I am able to shoot an arrow through the eye of an elk at over a hundred yards. I never leave anywhere without my bow and a full quiver. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? As I said, I am a skilled hunter, which requires both skill with a bow and in the art of stealth. I am also quick witted and my father always told me I was fairly convincing, which may come in handy when buying and selling wares. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Well, I would immediately approach the warriors and try to understand what is happening, all may not be as it seems. If the warriors are indeed harassing said Halfling, I would politely ask them to cease and desist. If this does not work, and no guards are within earshot to help, I would attempt to overpower the two warriors, knocking them out without causing permanent injury. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Ah, the wealthy. From what I have seen, they think most highly of themselves without much basis other than birth and gold. I would of course treat this merchant the same as any other. “Good afternoon, by any chance would you like to trade some of your wares, for a few fine animal skins?” Unfortunately, the wealthy tend to exploit those less fortunate than them. If the merchant were to try this with me, I would simply take my business elsewhere. Otherwise, business would continue as normal. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: “It is not right to take that which is not yours.” This was drilled into my head by my late father, and I know that even if the hut looks abandoned, looks can be deceiving. I do not wish to cause anyone else strife, therefore I shall be on my way. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Ah, It’s nice to finally see some friendly faces. I do not wish to be any trouble, but could you perhaps spare some water, and a loaf of bread? I have a small amount of gold and some animal skins that I would be more than willing to exchange for some rations.” You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: “I am more than happy to lend you my skill with the bow my friend, but I cannot accept your reward. Your town has been more than hospitable to me, and I would not feel right letting bandits harass these kind villagers even without the incentive of a reward. I shall hang back behind the party and loose arrows at the enemy before your men make contact with the band of outlaws.”
