History: Born in the year 31 in Arethor. Lenrith’s father had been a lead carpenter of a team of woodsmen who, when the city was first discovered by the settlers of Renatus, developed the city from ancient ruins into the Grand capital of Renatus. Not particularly attentive in school, a bit of a class clown and chatty with his class mates, Lenrith's true ambition was to work as a woodsman. His Father was often gone for several nights in a row, as a dense forest was quite far north. The returned with wild stories of the forest, maps he had made which he told to Lenrith and his mother late at night around the fire place. When Lenrith was seven the plague struck Arethor fearing for their son Lenrith’s mother moved their family further north to the edge of the forest where his father worked. His father would gather wood in the forest then transport it to the city. Safe from the plague and with no school to further his education Lenrith spent most of his days helping his father in the forest or exploring it by himself. Sadly Lenrith’s mother, while trading for food in the city, became infected by the plague though they received letters all until she fell to ill to write, Lenrith never saw his mother again. The light behind his father’s eye died with his wife and he was never the same man. Lenrith became very lonely and took to taking long walks in the forest sometimes gone for several days surviving on very little his father never seemed to mind. His father passed away one time Lenrith was away. Upon returning Lenrith found him lips curling into a smile in his sleep, the doctors presumed he died of a broken heart that he merely did not want to live any longer. At 15 now Lenrith was sent to live with his uncle in Solace, a man he did not know. The image of Lenrith’s father Lenrith was surprised to discover his Uncle was a cruel and malicious man. He would get drunk and beat his wife. They lived in a beautiful mansion his uncle’s wife had inherited when her father had fallen off a cliff while mountaineering with his uncle. Many had speculated murder though no proof had ever been discovered. His uncle would beat him aswell this made Lenrith miserable, he treasured the times he was sent to school just to avoid his uncle. He made many friends in his classes and often spent his nights visiting them rather than facing his uncle. Lenrith also spent allot of time in a forest slightly east of solace where he found comfort and peace amongst the trees. Lenrith built dens in caves and trees in the forest where he could practice carpentry, woodsmanship and store things he wished to hide from his uncle. As his uncle gave him no allowance Lenrith sold furnishings, tools and toys he had made with his carpentry to traders and citizens in the market. Lenrith grew into a man this way avoiding his uncle, visiting his friends and the forest. When he came of age the father of a friend of his, who was lawyer, spoke to him on the matter of his inheritance from his mother and father. The lawyer and Lenrith went to face his uncle. His uncle, in a regular drunken state swore and scoffed at the lawyer saying Lenrith would never see a single Minas. The lawyer took Lenrith’s uncle to court and won back Lenrith’s inheritance. Lenrith sent some to the lawyer who had done him a great service, he also set his Aunty, uncle’s wife, up in Arethor as a dressmaker, she had been kind to him and did not deserve the treatment from his Uncle. He stayed with her for a while tending to the maintenance jobs around the Tailors shop. She encouraged him to travel and one day he set off out of Arethor to explore Asulon. Lenrith is quite mischievous and enjoys a good prank even if he is the butt of the joke. Hard working and focused Lenrith can apply himself to achieving more than most people expect of him. History: The son of a woodsman who traded logs and planks in Al'Khazar, Lenrith grew up in the old capital of Oren. Not particularly attentive in school, a bit of a class clown and chatty with his class mates, Lenrith's true ambition was to work as a woodsman with his father in fact he often skipped classes to join his father in forests, whish surrounded the city, much to the annoyance of his teachers who thought they could straighten him out over time as he was not unintelligent. His mother worked as barmaid in a small inn in the shopping district, which allowed Lenrith's family to rent a small room on the top floor. Each night Lenrith and his father climbed to the roof of the inn and his father told him stories of the forest and taught him the types of trees and animals. On the day the Undead attacked Al’Khazar Lenrith was attending school, bells started ringing, and guards ran in and started evacuating the children as a priority. Huge crowds of people fled the city, Lenrith looked left and right searching for his mother as they were being evacuated on to carts pulled by oxen. His Father was outside of the city cutting trees as usual so Lenrith did not look for him. However in the bustling crowd he saw few faces he recognised and none were his mother. The Cart took the evacuees deep into the forest far from Al'Khazar. Though he looked for his father as they travelled through the forest, the trees were too dense to see more than 20m never mind locate his father. The cart stopped at a clearing. Looking around Lenrith saw few had made it out of the city, Tears welled up in his eyes and he cried silently as the remaining guards sorted the evacuees into several refugee groups to be sent to; Winterfell, Alras and Kal'Urguan. Some evacuees left to find family elsewhere. Lenrith had been sorted into a group being sent to Kal'Urguan, He noticed the inn keeper where his mother had worked looking up hopefully to the innkeeper he started making his way over to him. As Lenrith approached the innkeeper merely shook his head, the man was tearful and couldn't look Lenrith in the eye. Tears flowed from Lenrith's face and he cried violently on the trip to Kal’Uruguan, which he barely remembered. Upon Arrival orphans were taken into the care of several refugees who were forming an orphanage. The Orphanage was given an empty building in Kal'Urguan and the people started setting it up. A couple of weeks after arriving in Kal'Urguan news came of the miasma which had surrounded the city killing many woodsmen. Lenrith cried for days, alone knowing he had lost his father. He hated Kal’Urguan at first as it lacked trees and forests which he was so used to. Lenrith grew up in the orphanage though he rarely studied. He spent much time practising carpentry, he had learned from his father, making useful things for orphanage or toys for the younger children. As Lenrith moved into his mid-late teens he often left the city for days to wander the Hidden Mountains he gained knowledge of how to survive on very little, but he always returned to the orphanage, a scolding from the matron and the admiration of the younger kids. The Younger kids loved him as he made toys for them and told them stories of; his time in the mountains, fictional lands and the forest he missed. Teens of his own age at the orphanage often bragged of knowledge of mountains or particularly difficult or skilful hunts. Lenrith often boasted of his time in the mountains with the others. There were seven or so of his own age, they shared a room in the orphanage and often talked of plans for when they were old enough to leave, some wished to mine, explore, one was even interested in Redstone engineering. Lenrith though pained from the loss of his family found comfort and led a happy life in the orphanage. Once old enough many of Lenrith's friends left the orphanage to pursue their dreams, Lenrith stayed however to help maintain the building and facilities. Eventually the orphanage change hands to a rich man who had lost his son in the Undead assault. Seeing the man was kind and looked after the children well, he even employed more people to work there, Lenrith left Al'Khazar to Travel the land, explore great forests and set himself up as a Woodsman. Though by the end Lenrith Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, and how do you respond? Trader:"Hello there you look a little lost" -the trader looks up from the campfire- Lenrith: -approaches the edge of the fire- "Yes I lost my way while running from bandits they attacked a wagon train I was travelling with I got separated in the struggle" Trader: -trader nods- "We heard bandits had attacked on a road quite far to the east of here" -The trader signals to the fire- "Please join us tonight, you can rest up and set off in the morning" Lenrith: -drops to sit around the fire- "Thank you kindly, I have money I will pay you for your help, could I buy some food aswell? -Nods towards the traders wagons- Trader: "Sounds good enough to me though don't expect anything gourmet, we only have stew" Lenrith: -Smiling- "Mmm stew I’m starving " -draws in closer to barter- "shall we say 20 minas for the stew and shelter in a wagon?" Trader: -Smiles to himself- "25 and you've got a deal?" -Hold out his hand- Lenrith: -laughs and shakes the man's hand- "I’m Lenrith by the way pleased to meet you" You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information? Lenrith: -Passing into the group of guards at the town square, he walks up to the Captain of the Guard by the fountain at the center- "Though I’m not good a fighting I know the forests around these parts well, If you need my help at all please do not hesitate to ask" Captain: -looks Lenrith up and down- "Hmm... yes we may require your assistance setting up an ambush, though when the fighting starts I want you out of the area as soon as possible. Civilian casualties never look good in a report" -Points to a nearby guard- "please report to lieutenant Rossier and draw up a map of nearby forests showing roads, rivers and areas of high ground" Lenrith: -nods- "Yes Captain" -approaches the lieutenant pulling out a pre-drawn map of the forest- Lieutenant: -takes map starts planning an ambush using several features on the map- Lenrith: -adds ideas here and there improving the ambush- Lieutenant: "if we make a diversion by sending the main force up the road, we can send archers to either side of the road to flank them and have further troops posted at the ford to prevent their escape" Lenrith: -thinks on the lieutenant’s plan- "Hmm yes but the bridge is out over to the left, I could cut a tree down to use as a means to cross?" Lieutenant: -nods- "yes please work on that immediately while I coordinate with the captain" Lenrith: -Leave to create the crossing-
