    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

     

    The Hou-Zi are a race of humanoid monkey people. They were originally more akin to animals, though they were manipulated by Metzli, who ‘enlightened’ the first of the Hou-Zi, Hou-Shen. This was done as a, for lack of a better term, ‘Test Run’ on how the daemon could create/manipulate sentience. The Hou-Zi have since taken on higher intelligence, and developed their own culture based around materialism, the worship of Hou-Shen as a sort of ‘God King’, as well as Metzli to a smaller extent, and have their own history as a people. One major key point to the Hou-Zi history s their rivalry with the Elves of Axios. They continuously fought over the islands in two major wars, and although the Hou-Zi had fought well, they never accomplished capitulating the forces of Malin (Or, in the case of the second war, the combined forces of the Elves). Hou-Shen, the monkey king of the Hou-Zi, even died after the first great war, though Metzli did capture his soul and return him to immortal life. A lesser war, though not less important, was the ‘Jade Wars’, which were pseudo civil wars fought amongst Hou-Zi families- a true warring states period. Combined with a very unknown ‘Poison’ god, which had finished destroying the Hou-Zi homeland long before the Elves even arrived, and Hou-Shen was unable to keep his empire alive forever. The God-King himself even disappeared, and none of the Hou-Zi truly know where he went…

     

    The race itself is split into three sub-races: The Laobai-Zhu, the Fei-Zhu, and the Hei-Zhu. Each are descendants of the three sons of the Monkey King, Hou-Shen. The Hei-Zhu are much larger and longer lived of the three, appearing like gorillas, and standing at around 7 feet. The Fei-Zhu are the ‘middle child’ of the races, they are much smaller, and live longer than the Laobai-Zhu, but shorter than the Hei-Zhu. They are also much more colorful in appearance. Finally the Laobai-Zhu are the most common of Hou-Zi, only living around 100 years. They are larger in build than the Fei-Zhu, but they appear more like regular monkeys.

    House Capé

     

    A non-nobility house, the members of  House Capé are winemakers, artisans, and stark Canonists. Located in Livray,  Lorraine, the family is usually found working the vineyards, painting, reading, or working on the small village surrounding their home. The house, at least according to Charles, is devote to both GOD and the Church, as well as to the Empire and Humanity, shunning radical heretics, dark arts users, or vile beasts. However ,the family is more based on diplomacy and trade rather than with fighting wars, or battles, even if they’d lay down their lives for their country.
