  1. MC name: Numirya

    Character's name: Ryder

    Character’s age: 700

    Character’s Race: High elf(Keeper)

Link to your accepted magic application:

What magic(s) do you desire to teach?: Xan

Summarize the Lore of this Magic:

(In accordance to the new rewrite)

The Paladins of Xan are holy warriors who pledge their lives and service to the Aengul Xan, the Aengul of Order and guardianship. It is with this pledge that they agree to uphold these values, to uphold order and balance in the world, whilst protecting the descendants against all whom wish to bring harm to them. When deemed worthy of his light, the chosen paladin will be taken to a sacred pool where they are blessed with Xan’s light.

When this connection takes place, the newly connected paladin is given a choice upon which path they wish to take. They can either become a Vindicator, or a Wyrmstalker.

Although vastly different, each path of Xan is capable of healing, although it is weaker than that of Clerical healing. A paladin will become tired and weak if attempting to heal a broken bone, which is something only an experienced paladin should attempt. Great wounds are a challenge for paladin healers, and should be avoided if possible. Healing is done should it be a matter of survival. There will almost always be a scar left behind from a great wound, and it will always take a lot of the paladin’s energy.

Firstly, we will take a look at the Vindicator class of Paladin. The Vindicators are mighty warriors who are capable of manifesting spherical shields of light, which may grow in size. The longer and larger this shield is maintained, the more strain it puts upon the caster, and the weaker the shield will get. Should a Vindicator wish, this armor ability can also be worn by its caster, having the same weight and properties of a material set of armor, with the same properties and usage of the shield. Said shields are strong against dark entities, as well as that of Dragonfire. Vindicators may also imbue weapons and objects with the light of Xan, which will give the enchanted items a golden veil of light and energy.

The second class of Paladin, would be that of the Wyrmstalkers. These are warriors speciali in ranged offence which is used to combat that of the dragonkin. These Dragon hunters are capable of imbuing Xan’s light into a ranged weapon such as bow. When used, an arrow of light comes forth and will fly like a normal arrow. The arrow greatly affects those with a corrupt nature, or of Draconic origin. To the innocents, the arrow will act as a normal arrow. The second ability would be to create a bolt of light and energy, which can be thrown like a spear. This is effective against airborne targets, such as Drakaar, and is meant to bring them down, or to break through their thick scales.

Write up a lesson that your character would give to a student. (Do note, we will be contacting aspiring teachers for a quick interview, to try to better gauge your knowledge and understanding):

Ryder stands at the edge of the training ring, her arms crossed over her armored chest as she watches the movements of her student in the ring. The young human reminded her so much of herself, so...foolish as she rolled around the ring, attempting to leap out of the way of the training golem’s blows.

“I can’t do this!” she’d yell, falling into the sand, narrowly avoiding the strike of the golem’s training blade.

“You can do this, or you will die.” The keeper would reply, circling around the ring. “Look into yourself, believe in your patron.” she would hold her hands before her, taking a deep breath as she cleared her mind, feeling the light flow through her. “He is your light, your shield.” The bright shield would begin to manifest within her hands, the swirling light slowly making it’s way around herself. “He is your life.” She stops before her student, the light surrounding the keeper, sealing her in a sphere of holy light. “Now show me that you wish to live.” The keeper gives the golem a motion, the stone creature moving to its post beside the ring.

“My shield.. My light..” The Apprentice murmurs, holding her hands before her, she would take deep laboured breaths in concentration. Slowly but surely, the wisps of light begin to come forth in her hands, coming forth in a small sphere of energy. The sphere would grow in shape, sweat beading down the apprentice's face as she puts her energy into the manifestation. “My life..” She sphere would shatter before her, the apprentice looking down in disappointment. “I am sorry, teacher..” she mumbles.

“You are ready for your next lesson.” the keeper would reply, heading up the tall stairs and into the keep.

  2. Hi hello. I am nummy. I am paladin.

This is literally everything I want in the order I've been practically leading for years now beside tsu. It differentiates us from other orders and gives us something different. It doesn't take away our healing, it defines it.

Ski, this is what our order is, it needs to grow and change. Tsu did a wonderful job with the lore. If you wanted to have a say, you shouldn't have went inactive af and left us.

    IC Name: Ryder Sa'Roir

Original Race (n/a if not applicable): Elf

    Transformed Form: Keeper of Guardianship

Creator (MCname and RP name, n/a if not applicable): Xan, Lord of Sunlight; Aengul of Order and Guardianship.

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Keepers of Xan are individuals whom have been chosen through their prowess and devotion to their Patron, to uphold Xan's values within the realm of the descendants. There are two keepers, those being of Order and of Guardianship, and one being known as the Prophet. To become a keeper is to give up most of what one once was to serve Xan. They give up most of their personalities, their emotions and their fertility, becoming a being forged in the light of Xan, with ichor running through their veins.  Their abilities are a tier above those of which a normal paladin are capable of, and their devotion to their patron unwavering. They are holy warriors who choose no nation, favor no race, and protect all that live within the light.

  4. Well. You asked me to put it here, so That I will do.

We've grown too much as a server for the spawn to remain how it always has been. Auction houses should remain in the capitals, where they will bring activity to the cities, there is no need for them to be in neutral grounds.

As for the spawn, we should get rid of the neutrality bubble, or alternatively get rid of it altogether.
Race specific spawns are possible. I suggest having this. Have humans spawn in a church, orcs in some shamaan temple, dwarves in a hole, and elves in some kind of elven temple. Make a rule against spawn camping and rid ourselves of this silly neutrality bubble that is abused.

Second point, the spook spawn.  The sunless sanctum is great and all, but I believe the monk neutrality of it is being abused. There is no reason for them to basically have their own realm. A spawn, yes, Their own super spook base where they can do spook rituals and such in a realm that no one can physically do anything to stop it, is kind of unfair in many ways, and i could probably write a whole post on this, but maybe later.

We basically need to get rid of a temple grounds for both light and dark players. All you need is a 3x3 room to spawn in. The cause of the problem is the abuse of the neutrality bubble.

  6. Its a wonderful idea but I am sort of with Yuln on this. Instead of drawing away from the activity of main cities, why not make it a travelling market that is hosted by a different city each time? This would bring each city some activity, and you could work in the hosting cities culture within the market.

  8. As a wood elf, no please.

Its perfectly alright if you want to continue preaching your druid values to the wood elves icly and creating that kind of belief system, which you have. Yet to write it into the history that says "we always did this" is completely wrong. You're effectively trying to change the history of an entire race to suit your characters agenda. If you want the wood elves to have this culture, you've already have it, you've created this icly, there is no practical reason to put this into the history of the entire race.

This is the equivalent of me playing a High elf paladin, believing that all Mali'aheral should be paladins and should worship xan, and then trying to write lore that said they always did and they never had any other belief system.

The wood elf race has practically 5 or so years of rp history, most of it not doing with this belief system, to force this upon their history now is wrong. Lulu is right in saying that you can claim that a small section of the woodies went off and did this, which is a possibility, yet to say that all of them is wrong. If it WAS all of them, then all of them would still be under this belief system up to the point where you started preaching and shoving druidism down every woodie's throat.

brb gonna go write lore that makes all Mali'aheral worship pugs.

Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: Nope

Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions? I was on the media team when that was a thing.

What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)

Um.. Skyrim, Legend of Zelda, Guild wars 2, Portal 2, Payday 2, Dragon Age, The Witcher,Assassins Creed,

What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?

My main is currently a high elf named Niera, but I’ve also a paladin, a dark elf, and a human. I’m willing to sacrifice my Horen and my dark elf, perhaps even my paladin. It depends on the situation.

What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.

I believe I could cater more to the elves and humans as they are the two player bases in which I am more familiar with lore wise and player wise. Yet I could easily see myself creating events for anyone to enjoy,

What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

The Story: An event should be original and entertaining. It should be something that draws in and retains someone's attention and remains memorable. We want something new and exciting, something that would and should engage the players.

The Players: Yes, the players are the number one audience for an event. I've seen so many events back in the day that don't really allow player interaction and just seem too scripted or welcome to a select few. Events should cater to and involve anyone who wishes to be involved. Everyone attending an event should feel like that event or story affected their character in some way.

Creativity : The biggest draw to an event for me is the thought put into it, the attention to detail and the creativity behind it. Monster hunts don’t cater to everyone. I believe that every event should be different, they can take inspiration from things, but they shouldn't feel like a repetitive thing.

Flexibility: When designing an event, one can never plan for everything. You cannot control how the players will react to a situation given, so you have to be able to think on the spot and continue with a flawless delivery.

When was the last time you saw a event?

The last event I participated in was when three volcanic beings attacked Laurelin, and my paladin was called upon to fight. It was quite a splendid event that I quite enjoyed.

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?

I am great with organizing and creating small creative stories. I can also contribute art skills, should it be needed. I am also good at thinking on the spot.

Why do you want to be part of the ET?

Honestly, I’ve been on this server for almost five years and I’ve never truly done anything memorable. I wish to contribute more to this server and create wonderful roleplay situations for new and old players alike. I’ve the drive to do it, and a creative mind behind me.Being apart of a team will give me more opportunities and resources to do so. Its about giving back, it's about creating stories for others to enjoy.

Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

(Note, all these events are connected)

    1) For 1-3 person

A calming melody comes from the quiet waves of the sea. The few stragglers around the docks would be lulled by the melody, drawn to the water’s edge by a shimmering upon the surface. As they get closer, a woman would appear from the depths of the sea, her calming voice calling out to them. She holds a golden trinket, a shell decorated in jewels, in her hands, holding it out for the one who finds her by the water’s edge, shoving the relic into their hands hurriedly.

She would instruct the player that the item needed to be kept safe, yet hidden from the sea. Promising them a reward should they do so.

    2) For a group of 5-10

This event would happen a short time after the first one.

The once calm sea would start to churn, storm clouds looming over the seaside village. The melody would once more emit from the water, yet stronger and more ominous than before, The trinket would start to glow a dull light, seeming to get closer and closer as the carrier gets closer to the edge of the water, calling the people of the town to the edge of the sea. The trinket would feel magnetized, wanting to pull the carrier into the ocean. Should they fall into the waters, the trinket would send out a pulse, calling it’s owners to where it is. It is then from the sea would arise the sirens, beautiful yet fierce in nature, making their way across the waves to the water’s edge.

Reaching for the waves, they would seek to grasp the trinket, their stolen treasure, from the holder. The players would have two choices here, give back the treasure, or keep it for themselves.

Despite what they choose to do, Sirens would still be enraged, screaming out in anguish. Their shrieks deafening to the ears, shattering nearby windows. They would then demand a second offering, that of a soul to serve him in the depths of the sea. Whomever would be chosen by the Sirens, most likely someone important in the town’s community, would be pulled into the ocean and down into the deep.

    3) For a group of 20+

It is then up to the people of the town to rescue their captured comrade.

Once the creatures have once more returned to the sea, the woman from the first event would once again appear from beneath the waves. She would apologize for causing the whole incident, and she would offer to right the wrong. She would require a large group of volunteers, to help rescue the one that had been taken.

Once the group has gathered, she would lead them to the Ocean beast’s kingdom. This would most likely be a portal/a grotto and tunnel leading to an underwater ruined city. The city would be a maze, built to confuse and entrap explorers. Yet it’s inner chambers is where the beast holds its prize. It sits upon a pile of sunken treasures, taken from the ships in which it has destroyed throughout time. Around the beast sits his servants, and the one which had been taken.

The group would have to find a way to bargain with the Maidens, to save their comrade. They can use words and strike a deal, or they could use force.

(This event would require a sea dungeon build + actors playing sea servants)

How long do you plan to stay in the ET? Forever.

Tell me a joke FACT: Trains DO turn.
