Aiden is the son of Astora and Terran Soleil. His mother is an alchemist who spends most of her time tending her gardens at home or reading books on alchemy. His father is a hunter who helps out by gathering herbs while out hunting for the day. He and his parents live in the forest at the base of the mountains just outside of the human town of Felsen in the Holy Orenian Empire. The House is a small 2 bedroom cabin built next to a stream running through a large clearing in the forest. Living out here allows them both to pursue their occupations with great ease.
Aside from the occasional passing wagon, they lived so far out of the way of the city that Aiden didn't really grow up having any friends to play with. He spent his younger years with his parents learning about their lines of work. At about the age of nine, Aiden's mother started teaching him about all of the herbs she grows in her garden and even how to plant and care for them. She had herbs in her garden ranging from simple flowers to high end ingredients such as blissfoil and flametongue root. At around the same time, Aiden also started going out with his father on his hunting trips. He taught him how to set up traps for smaller animals and even how to shoot a bow. By the age of 12, Aiden had the skills to take care of his own garden, and could make a variety of basic potions for healing, energy recovery, and so on. He also killed his first boar at the age of 12 and was able to clean and cook it completely by himself.
Over the next 6 years Aiden stayed with his parents and assisted them with their work and progressed even further in his skills. One day however, his mother fell ill. It started out as nothing more than a mild fever, but after a week, she was bedridden. Aiden took over her garden for her and tried to make every medicine he could think of for her, but nothing seemed to have any effect. After another week, he woke up with his father standing over his bed. He informed him that his mother had passed away during the night. He then pulled out a book and handed it to him saying that she wanted him to have it. He opened the front cover and inside was a pressed and preserved blissfoil flower, that was the first herb they ever picked together. Underneath the flower was a note written in his mothers handwriting: "This is the first flower we ever picked together all those years ago. The day we picked it I preserved it and put it in this book and have been writing it ever since. I want you to have it now. As long as you always remember your beginnings and you stay true to yourself, I know you will succeed in whatever path you choose. Love, Mom." He flipped through the pages and saw that this was a journal on every herb that could be found in Vailor along with where to find them and what you can make with them. At that moment Aiden knew that his path was going to be, he was going to carry on in her passion and strive to become the most renown alchemist in Vailor. The funeral was held the next day and the day after that, Aiden was already making preparations to head to the city of Felsen to find an alchemist to apprentice under and make a name for himself.
He asked his father to come with him, but he declined saying that the city was no place for him, he preferred to live the rest of his life in the home he made with his wife. The next morning, Aiden walks out of his bedroom to find his father holding a magnificent bow in his arms outstretched towards him. Son, it may be a while before we see each other again, so I wanted to give you something for your journey. This bow cost me most of the money I've saved over the years, so you had better put it to good use. Aiden took the bow from him and examined it in his hands. It was made from the finest polished wood he had ever seen in his life and each end was tipped in what appeared to be pure gold. After an emotional farewell, he set out the door with his bow and journal in hand and began his journey to Felsen.
