Ryuumaru Ainaki

Alrighty, I think I can do that... around what time do ya think would be good to get on, as far as activity in the Vale goes? I'd be happy to just to see a couple of people... or in fact anyone there, really.

Seriously, since I've started, I've only see 1 other halfling, and never once in the Vale... why is the Vale so empty all the time? I'd really like to buy a spot of land there and make a house, perhaps start a little farm... or something. But I need a home.

I don't even use TextSpeak on my cellphone Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a young anime-loving gamer-geek, who also enjoys old cartoons like Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbara, classic music, and good comedy. I have many different sides to me that each appeal to their own spectrum of interests, but no part of me likes Rap/Hip-Hop, mostly due to having it forced down my throat during middle and high school at 90 decibels, not to mention the fact it can hardly be considered music... styled poetry at best. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I shall try to be on as often as time allows, but due to college life, they can vary greatly. During the summer, I should be able to get on at least a couple hours a day, but once school starts back up, it's hard to say. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know much about Roleplaying; to me, it is basically acting, to take on a role in a fantasy setting and experience the world through this character. I do my best to connect my character to myself on a very deep level, as to me, one's default character tends to reflect one's true self. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've spend hours a day on IRC roleplaying for the last several years, and did just as much on forums a few years before that. I've also done so on Minecraft and Second Life from time to time. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is the usage of Out-of-Character information to influence your In-Character actions, or an action which is Out-of-Character while In-Character. Basically, something that goes against your character, and what they have thought and experienced. I promise to keep my In-Character and Out-of-Character selves as seperate as possible. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-Gaming is basically what I call "God-modding"; Acting In-Character in such a way that you are more powerful then you actually are, the action of forcing results onto others (such as stating that an attack was successful without any response from the other combatant), or just getting a cheap shot in while a character is busy typing. Rather unsporting if you ask me. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be a proper formal RolePlaying Minecraft server, largely or fully In-Character, What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a Tekkit server once, and a few other lesser roleplaying servers, and I left the Tekkit server because I felt the mod was far too complex to be of any real enjoyment, while the lesser roleplaying skills lacked any friendliness or emmersion. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Ryuumaru Lightfoot is a 24-year-old Halfling boy, making him a young teenager of around 14-15 in human terms of maturity, with spiky red hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and a slim well-toned figure, standing at 3'4" and weighing 42 ibs. His typical attire a red overshirt, a white undershirt, and a pair of green pants. Ryuumaru likes to be called "Ryuu" for short. Like most Halflings, Ryuumaru was born and raised in the town of Branborough. However, he was always a very curious Halfling. He would often wonder from Dunwood to explore the surrounding area, and though he was always a bit shy around strangers, like most of his kind, he would walk up to any kind looking travellers he happened upon. Overtime, he became a bit more brave around the other races, save the Orcs; they've always looked scary to him! His parents weren't too fond of him running off on his own and exploring, but he didn't care, he was wanting to explore! Nowadays, his typical day is spent doing his chores; Fishing, Farming, and Hunting. He especially enjoys Hunting, as it gives him a chance to explore unfamiliar ground and find new interesting things. Outside of his great curiousity and fairly brave attitude, Ryuumaru isn't different from a typical Halfling; good, honest, and kind. Althought he is brave for a Halfling, he is still fairly shy around strangers, but once you get to know him, he is quite protective of those he cares for. As for why he likes red, despite few Halflings that do, he likes it because it reminds him of a few of his favorite things; Apples, Autumn, and Roses. What are your Character's ambitions?: He wishes to explore the world and learn about it's many wonders. While Dunwood was nice, it was small and simple; and there was a big world out there just waiting to be explored! What is your character’s favorite tool?: He doesn't have one, every tool has their role in which he makes use of. If he had to pick one, it'd probably be the Axe, though it's a close call. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Ryuumaru has a strong innate sense of direction, being able to tell where he is with a fair amount of accuracy and tell which way they are going. Teleportation however throws him off, and he may take him a while to get his barrings after going through teleportation. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? * RyuuAinaki is walking from the Cloud Temple when he happens upon a scene that he personally finds quite disturbing; * RyuuAinaki sees a poor young halfling being hassled by a couple of warriors. * RyuuAinaki walks up and stands between the halfling and the two soldiers, silently motioning for the Halfling to make his getaway. <RyuuAinaki> "Up of the morning to ya, lads!" <Warrior A> "Beat it, kid!" <Warrior B> "Yeah, get lost!" * Halfling sneaks off while the Warriors are busy with Ryuumaru * RyuuAinaki does his best to cover for the follow Halfling. "Som'thin the matter, lads? " * Warrior A glares a bit. "Because we're busy with..." He looks around Ryuumaru and doesn't see the Halfling. "What the..?!" * RyuuAinaki quickly slips away, trying to slip outta sight. <Warrior B> "The halfling is gone!" He then looks around for a bit. "Hey, the other one is gone too!" * RyuuAinaki seems to have successfully slipped away, and the young halfling as well. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? (Note: I'm not sure about the rate of Mina is on this kinda stuff, I looked up Economy and it gave no such rates on the kinda items I need.) <Merchant> "'ello there, what can I do you for today?" <RyuuAinaki> "Hey, ummm... yer got any apples?" <Merchant> "Sure! They be 5 Mina each." * RyuuAinaki pulls out 10 Mina. "Gimme 2 of 'em den." He hands over the money. * Merchant takes the money and hands Ryuu the apples. * RyuuAinaki takes the apples and happily takes a bite of one as he walks off. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: * RyuuAinaki looks the house and sees the chest within. "What the?" He says quietly to himself. * RyuuAinaki carefully makes his way into the small hut, keeping an eye out for any traps that might be about. * RyuuAinaki slowly makes his way to the chest, having seen no traps, and opens the chest to find some iron and a gold sword. * RyuuAinaki has no use for such items, and feels as though they might belong to someone, and so he leaves them alone. * RyuuAinaki leaves the way he came in and goes off back into the Wilds. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? <Trader A> "Hello there!" <RyuuAinaki> "H-hey 'ere. Ya mind if I get a bite ta eat?" <Trader B> "Why you poor dear, you must be wasting away! Lemme see if I can get you." She then leads Ryuumaru to the trading camp, getting him some bread. <RyuuAinaki> "Thanks." He eats the bread. <RyuuAinaki> "Is there anything I can do to make up for it?" <Trader A> "Well, if you wanna earn that bread, we could use some firewood." * RyuuAinaki nods at that and zooms off with his axe. * RyuuAinaki eventually returns with as much logs as he can carry, handing them over to the trader. <Trader A> "My goodness, that is more then I expected." <RyuuAinaki> "It's al'ite. Could I have a wee bit of food for the journey?" <Trader B> "Absolutely." She hands over a couple of apples. * RyuuAinaki smiles wide at that, gives them a light bow, and runs off into the woods! You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: * RyuuAinaki is a peaceful halfling, he's not much of a fighter, so he would ignore it! Anything else you would like to say?: I just hope this new character fares better then the old one.

My apologies, I wasn't sure where to post such a thing, because it was related to creating a new character. Excuse me for trying to look for more creative ways to express myself and to experience your world.

Long story short, I'm looking for someone to play as my parents for my Halfling character, either mother and father Halflings or a Dwarf father and a Human mother (according to the Lore, that certainly is doable). I'm hoping to be very young, perhaps not starting off as a newborn but it's doable. Ideally, I'd like to start off very young, like the Halfling equalivant of toddler or preschooler, basically any age prior to schooling so I can learn the Lore of the land through how I best learn it; experience. Still, I'll let my parents decide my age if they wish. I do have a lot of experience playing very young characters, and honestly they are the most fun for me. Not to mention the fact that I'd like to learn the Lore as a child growing up, it makes it the perfect solution for me. Anyone interested in being a parent?

Umm yeah, is the position for playing as your daughter still open? I do have some experience playing as very young childern, both male and female, and I'd be more then happy to learn the lore of the land as I go.
