One of my passions is fantasy writing and development, and my parents and teachers urge me to pursue a career in writing. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Forty to sixty-five hours each week What do you know about Roleplaying?: Give a definition of what it means to you: Role playing games are among my favorite games. To me role playing includes creating interesting characters that span many different personalities and dimensions, exploring diverse and exciting worlds. I also enjoy creating worlds and stories to explore, as well as designing minecraft structures. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is using third party knowledge or statistics important to the game to affect how you play a game, despite your character not knowing this knowledge. This can include knowing where spawns are located or other knowledge that your character wouldn't have already known and using that to your advantage. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-emoting is when one character uses emotes(an exaggerated show of emotions/actions) to take away the ability of another player and not allow them to prevent that emote. If so could you link us to your last Application?: I have previously made an application. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/61577-mscorees-application/ In-Character: Character Name: Celulos Unon Xherlygh What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!): I am a Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): I am a Northerner. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Celulos was born on a dusty ranch among the whisper of the wind piercing the dessicated wooden structure. His father was a quiet man, living off the land and doing his part, no more and no less. He was respectful in every way and always looked for a peaceful resolution to problems. When Celulos was seven years of age a notorious bandit was sighted taking refuge in a local farm. That night Celulos's father returned home with his shirt wrinkled and blood dried on his face. Bandits weren't tolerated. Celulos learned that at a young age. As he grew up Celulos tried to fit in among others, but found himself distant and isolated, preferring to play games by himself or in small groups. In need of a method to prevent his boy from becoming an outcast, Celulos's father began teaching him survival skills. Celulos and his father were very close and often spend long hours hunting and fishing in the wild. Celulos became accustom to surviving in the wild for days, at one point almost leaving his mother a wreck after he disappeared briefly for a few days. Celulos really had one thing at heart, even as many were corrupted by the allure of money and power. Celulos had fallen under the love of architecture. Celulos always looked for opportunities to study ancient documents on engineering and building, bringing borrowed books on trips into the country. As Celulos came of age, becoming a tan-skinned, six-foot man, he ventured to the city of Alras, bartering and trading to earn money. In the city his love of architecture amplified as he was surrounded by many impressive structures being erected each day. Celulos was dreaming of seeing the world's most beautiful buildings and settings, and one day he got his chance. He was luck enough to be picked as a deck hand on a small merchant ship. Although Celulos loved the prospect of seeing distant lands, sailing the open seas made him sick to his stomach. He soon ended his naval career in the city of Solace. Dedicated to ending a small wave of crime, Celulos joined a posse and set out to track down criminals. He soon found that using his survival skills alone could be quite profitable and became a minor bounty hunter. After angering a local criminal faction and nearly losing his life, Celulos's knew he had to get out of the business. Celulos abandoned his life on the road, joining the Solace Peacekeepers. As a soldier Celulos enjoyed the structure and organization, but somewhat disliked the group activity. He managed to become close with many different people and established a close bond. As a coalition of rivals closed in on the city, Celulos fought alongside his fellow peacekeepers, but surrounded by destruction and decay the city fell. Celulos remembered his days of war for a long time, half haunted by the destruction of war. Wishing to leave his architectural mark on Asulon, Celulos left in search of a place to call his own. What are your Character's ambitions?: I wish to leave long-standing structures that stand the test of time, establishing a place for builders to prosper in peace. If that peace must be defended by war, so be it. What is your character’s favourite tool?: Shovel What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Wilderness survival skills A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: Other Information about your Character: I may seem like a distant yet able man, but if you try anything I don't like long enough I won't hesitate to stop you. Open-Response-Questions: Whilst travelling from the Cloud Temple you see a small Halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?: I approach the two armed warriors quietly from behind, getting their attention. Raised as an anti-crime type of person I would do everything in my power to stop them. If that included fighting the two armed warriors to allow the Halfling to escape then that's what I'd do, but I would prefer to try and talk the warriors down and end the conflict peacefully. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: I approach the man pleasently, glancing at his items for sale. I have no business with this simple merchant, but ask him for one thing more valuable, knowledge. Merchants might know tips across the city, including the locations of groups and hiding individuals, establishments, and other important information. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I highly dislike stealing and would leave the items there. Just because the hut looks abandoned could just be a trap. Keeping my guard up I would look around the hut, careful not to set off a trap or alert an ambush party. The hut has little value to be and I would keep moving. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?: I greet the group politely, dining with them and keep them as company. The local people offer unique information into the surrounding and I would use that to my advantage before heading off. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Bandits are my enemy and I treat them as such. I offer to aid the guards while passing through town, equipping myself for battle. As the guards lay out a primary attack, I would study any maps they may have and try to get a sense for my surrounding, setting up a spot to aid the guards in an assault. My knowledge acquired while in the military helps as I attack the bandit camp. Sure I want to be the big hero, but in the end I'm just another lonesome rover in need of a few trading tokens, taking the reward and leaving on the same road I've just cleared. Anything else you would like to say?: Thank you for the time you have taken to read this. Can’t wait to get on the server and meet you all!
