  1. Elandric grumbles after throwing his practice sword to the ground, he was stormed by thoughts of freedom, of rage and all that might run through a true Adunian's mind. The wind would whisper to him, like the old gods would have to all Adunians at one point, where had that gone?`Where was this freedom that once was? Gone, as the wind now was. The young boy, not more than fifteen would clutch onto some sort of a rag to wipe his forehead, flooded by sweat. "Father, wha' is thes dey call Adunadane, an' Adunijans? Bloodeh shite, ah tell ye.." Elandric paused and threw away the rag into some wild flowers, "T'is a shame tha' dey think themself sae honourable an' glorious, where dey all washed aweh our true, sacred.. beloved past -- the little tha' dey may call 'Adunian' in their branded new land lies dead amongst tha' true Elendils, tha' true keepers of ours.." He walked along with his father, away into the woods. Talking and discussing as they did so.

Something had always bothered Elandric, how men and women claim themself the greatest of all, heroes or saviours -- where they are none of that, but erasers of all hope, and all glory, where had their olden ways gone, but into a burning flame?

"Elandric O'Armaughlan, Son of Belondric O'Armaughlan"
"May our greatest lord succeed, Dranan Elendil be mine liege til the utter end, let the Hightower rot as the scum he may be."

It's written in a olden style, old font, thick and bold.

    History

    02LzPOf.png

Most families claim great honour in their name, and true pride, but not the O’Grymoor family, they were but kennel-masters and merchants, hunters as well. A northern family they were, very loyal to their kin and all alike. Ragnar O’Grymoor owned a kennel under Lord Torrhen Elendil of Illdon. He was a odd man, but little is to tell between the bond of Elendil and O’Grymoor, since that bond was never existent. Breeding dogs and selling pelts were all they did, and it paid off. It is said, but not believed that Ragnar and his brother, Harvald both got knigthed after saving a lesser noble from a towering bear with help of their eight wolfhounds. Sadly, they were never landed which meant the house was not to be considered noble. At this time they would leave Asulon for a new land to claim. The O’Grymoor would split away from the grey-eyed, raven haired Elendils - Mad at how they’d rebel against, and dishonour the emperor - O’Grymoor, as said, left the Elendils, finding more loyalty towards their majesty rather than lord.

After cutting away from the Elendils they sought to find a more loyal man to follow. In Anthos, Erlan O’Grymoor found himself leading his family members into bad situations of taxation and debt. Under their new lord -which name is long forgotten to the Grymoors- they purchased land that they did not afford that consisted of a small farm and a small, small manor. Erlan, who thought they’d all manage to repay this dept through more selling of dogs. The day that two short knights would bang on the O’Grymoor manor sent Erlan almost flying through a window, sadly enough a horseman managed to catch up to the run-away and drive a spear through his back. They had been warned many times, and kept telling their lord “We’ll bring you the coin by the end of the next moon.” Over, and over again they said that line. The lord they served was loyal to his liege, but to the O’Grymoors he was indifferent, the O’Grymoors thought them to have a close, friendly bond, but when Erlan had to pay a debt with blood they understood that it was not so.

Odney, Erlan’s firstborn, tried his best to serve the lord the best he could as some cheap sellsword, who in the end would become a retainer of sorts. The boy clearly didn’t have any other thought but revenge and hate towards this lord, yet knowing that even drawing blade, cloaking with a dagger or just writing a letter to the wrong person - would have Odney , and most likely his whole family, serve the same fate as Erlan. Erlan’s boy would quickly climb a ladder of respect, so to say, the lord would soon adore him, and do all he said. A curse was it for them, that their lord’s children had been killed in the battle of the bridges some days ago. The lord being old and crumbling meant his house was too. Odney, unlike his father, was a clever man and sought to benefit themselves as stealthy as possible. A long story short, he managed to gain a few coins of the now vanished house and onwards they went to a new land-lord.

The years would start to pass by just like their carts of sheep and hounds would, slowly. Odney had died in bed, suffering a severe fever and so as well had his sister, but that was later that year. The O’Grymoors often spoke of it being a deadly year for their kennel and income. Dogs dying of sickness, and bad health. Farmland all around the Kingdom’s corners were filled with vermin, scarce amounts of game in the wilds. The only thing the folk of the land could do was eat the most likely plagued rats. Edgar now being the elder of the family, and closest sibling to the deceased Odney - found himself having five children: Erlan, Molly, Abby, Darby and Rose which all would in the end fight for Oren as battle-maidens and footmen. It was frowned upon females following in the army, so they had disguised them in armour covering their bodies, and full helmets, of course, it was all in bad condition, since their coin was running dry. Molly, Abby and Darby all died in battle, or well, not Abby, for she was found being a lady one evening. Quick as the soldiers were to break their oath, they’d chuckle her to the ground, and take her honour and then the little life she had left.

They got a boost of coin from their fallen family members, which would in turn allow Erlan to pay for some decent food now after this infesation of mice and rats would be gone. There is but little to tell of the eight generation of O’Grymoor, besides that they’ve found themselves working at forges and behind a anvil more than in kennels.  Loyal they yet be to their land lord, that at this point being the Blackwells of Ager.

    Culture and traditions

Being born into the family of O’Grymoor isn’t anything special at all, either you’ll be taught how to brandish a blade or which hounds you should put together for the best result. Nonetheless, it’s not uncommon that all family members unite to bless the newborn in it’s coming, most likely rough life. Even thought that they’ve served Elendil longer than any other lord, doesn’t mean that they are Adunians, of course they carry some Adunian blood, but they’re by majority Northerners. Hardy and strong. Traditionally they are born cattle, and animal breeders, but they’ve all focused on dogs, such as greyhounds, wolfhounds and bloodhounds, and sometimes even the mastiff. O’Grymoors can handle cold more than most other can, due to their superb blood circulation.
The bond is strong, and always cunning in the family, if someone stands a folly, they’re often frowned upon, but never ‘hated’ for it, either they’d try to solve the mischief or beat them, if it was man, on other hand, if it was a girl she’d just be locked into a room for a week. If two men of the family is disagreeing about something, a brawl is a good way to settle who is right and who is wrong. Oh, they also wear their own kind of kilt, not like the Adunian one.

    Traits and Personality

    02LzPOf.png

Most members are not so tall compared to the majority of humans, but instead of being tall, they’re sturdy and well built for battle and harsh climates. Almost all O’Grymoors have clear blue eyes, fair skin and dark brown to black hair. When it comes to their personality they are often queit and calm, They are not always friendly, keeping to themselves and do not allow many to be their friends, but if they have any friends they would most likely very close. Regardless, it is common that some of the O’Grymoor members are open, those that are often become merchants of sorts. Members of the family are most likely going to grow up to be arrogant, stubborn and clever. Towards their liege they’re always like dogs, obeying all they say, or tell them to do, obedient.

The family consists of a branches yet to be unfolded, which is not known off all to well, but those who are of Harvald or Melinda will sooner or later step into the house of O’Grymoor, and once more unite for the better.

-I am just gonna point out that this is no noble house of any kind, so there-

-won't be no ranting about it, or no nothing.-

  4. I still follow what Emenzi has told me several times. No one on LotC fears death no longer, since everyone can do it now, even the worst of role-players can, I myself miss VA's cause.. Well, it was always a thrill when someone would try to kill or assassinate you since almost all murderers were good RP'ers, it was enjoyable. I won't go ranting about "Bring VA's back!" or anything like that, for I think it's your choice, and I'm to follow it, but if I get to say myself.. If VA's ever get to come back, have it account bound, instead of character bound.

  5. Hanrahan has been falling since he got born, but hell, he always finds a way to stand up, even after having his head removed multiple times, didn't he blow up once as well, In many pieces?, that is what I call a strong spirit..

He'd lead a good rebellion, like all the other Adunians have, right?
