Give a definition of what it means to you: For me roleplaying is adding more pleasure to a game by just adding fantasy elements which are not necessary but improving the gaming atmosphere. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: My first role-play game was WoW since release of classic. I also experienced roleplay due to Magic: The Gathering. E.g.: Silently backstab someone without giving him the chance to counter fight. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect a nice roleplay atmosphere which is kinda hard to accomplish due to Minecraft. Due some of my friends playing on the server my impression was really pleasant because I know it is absolutely difficult to connect minecraft + roleplay. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on some servers, one was even administrated by me (CelestialCraft). This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Nerade is 60 human years old which is considered young for an elf. She is moderate looking but has a particular charisma. She is not as high as normal elves are and therefore not strong but agile. Born in the woods some days away from the elven capitol Normandor this elf was tortured by fate. As the daughter of a defender of the tribe she was supposed to continue the tradition of her father. She was indeed very irenic and dislikes the violence which was necessary for successfully preservation of their tribe. Due to her bad skills in melee fighting and her refusal to fight against other humanoids she was not able to fulfill her father’s expectations. So she retired to the depths of the woods as a castaway – which just continued her life out of normal society - and there she had started to observe the nature and teaches herself to survive by not defeating the wilderness but by understanding it and adapting to it. Once a day she found a special place upon a small hill in the forest. The nature around there makes her feel a magic presence but she couldn’t define the source of this power. This clearance was a place she really liked and so she visited it many times to enjoy this presence. The only thing she always took with her was her bow which was everything she needs more than the pure nature around her. Nerade would never raise her bow to harm someone. Only in case of last resort she would use her bow as a weapon. That also includes the release of weakly or injured animals. Maybe this honorable acting influenced the fate to make her meet the old druid Onariell at the already mentioned holy place. This experienced elf noticed the ability of Nerade to feel the mystic presence. Therefore Onariell entrusted her with the existence of druids living near to Elandriel. In the forest of Elandriel the nature changes in an extraordinary way through the presence of a tribe of druids which settled down there some time ago. So Nerade understood this story as a calling to start the inconvenient pursuit to this place and to start the lore in handling with the wilderness. What are your Character's ambitions?: She wants to start a life where she can learn more about nature and its magic. The skills she hopes to get at the druids of Elandriel should be used by her to help also others and not only herself. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Bow What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Using a bow is not the simpelst of all skills. It requires training and agility to shoot precise and so to prevent unnecessary suffering. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? With sharp eyes Nerade would analyzes the environment for trees or bushes which could be used as camouflage. She would crawls to there and tries to get the attention of the warriors by making loud noises by imitating the sounds of dangerous animals. With this distraction two scenarios could become real. In case the warriors are just nosey they will come towards Nerade she would use her expertise to escape through the bushes and trees. The other way is that those warriors are just intimidated by those noises and so they retire. This would be everything Nerade could do to this this helpless halfling… Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Nerade would react awed because she is not really comfortable with talking to others especially in such a big city with so many humans. She would be shy but still try to be polite. So she would explain her situation to this trustworthy looking man and that she is new here. “…I…am sorry but…I think I cannot offer you anything you need” Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Nerade would crawl towards the hut with her bow in her hand. The entire environment is in her eye and every sound in her ears. She tries to get information out of the behavior of animals like birds around there. If there would be danger those birds will fly away and warn her. When she reaches the door she will silently open it and take a look inside the hut. She will take a look for warm coal or fresh food which would indicate the former presence of an owner of this hut. If there are hints that there is an owner she would not even open the chest. After looking in the chest she wonders what to do with these silver bars. She would try to hold one of them but will fast come to the conclusion that even if she knows what to do with them there is no way for her to take them with her. The sword is absolutely without use for Nerade. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Nerade would avoid those camps because she has heard rumors about the existing of bad people who rob others on their travel. Normally she would never get hungry in wilderness because it has been her life for years to survive there. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Nerade is assailed by a lack of understanding for those bandits. She hopefully will never understand the reasons for this kind of handling. In her opinion everything is obtainable just by the nature. The reward would be very helpful for her but to spill blood is an inacceptable price for her, so she refuses and continues her journey.
