Would it be possible to actually compose any of the music and send audio files or something? I'm a bit of a composer, so writing the music would actually be a pretty fun project!

Taking a pamphlet in his hand, Ralyn straightens the parchment out and begins to read what has been written. Looking up, he sees the knight in dark armor riding out of the town square and begins to roll the pamphlet up to place in his satchel. "I must learn where to find this House Klaren, I wish to join them. Where to start..." Ralyn thinks to himself as he walks out of the town square towards an inn to begin writing the scroll he will present to Lord Goroth Klaren. Sitting down at a table in the busy inn, Ralyn places a roll of parchment down on the table and begins to write. [[should I send a message with my application, or post it here? Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a male of 20 years old. I enjoy conversations and making new friends, and I try my very best to be as friendly as I can be. As well as trying my best to be friendly, I try to be as patient and courteous as possible in any situation. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I could be on the server anywhere from 10-30 hours weekly. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: To me, roleplaying is being able to use one's imagination to the greatest extent in order to create fantastic worlds in which colorful characters and stories are brought into existence, and then being able to take on the role of a character or characters that have been created. I feel Roleplaying is a means to escape the world one is in, for a short while at least, to bring a little fun and fantasy into one's life and have an enriching experience. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have roleplayed in forums for close to 7 or 8 years now. I have only ever roleplayed in a real-time game once before when I used to play the computer game Rift about a year ago. When I do roleplay, it is usually in a fantasy setting, although I have tried one or two science-fiction settings before. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is using information that would not be available to one's character and using it to the character's advantage. An example (that I hope makes sense) would be knowing the way to a major city out-of-character, and showing another player where this city is, while in-character, when your character has never ventured out of their village before. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-emoting is forcing an action and the result of that action on a character without their consent and before they are able to react to the action. An example of power-emoting would be this: "Player 1 binds Player 2 and steals X amount of gold and runs away". Player 2 has had the actions of being bound, and robbed forced upon them before they are able to react because Player 1 makes the act of escaping before any retaliation is even made possible for Player 2. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect the server will be very enjoyable with many fun, polite and creative personalities fueling this server and making it a wonderful place to roleplay. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I play on a friend's server with 4 other friends of mine, but I have yet to leave that server. It is mostly just a creative server where we build and talk to improve our building skills and have a little fun in the process. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes. Griefing is something that gets under my skin, and I am very glad that this server is against it. I have looked at other servers but most of what I saw allowed griefing and that discouraged me from joining. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes. How did you hear about us?: I found the server listed on serverlistminecraft.com and thought I should look into what I had discovered. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: This will be my first application. In-Character: Character Name: Ralyn Thalas What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Elf What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Dark Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Valthar Thalas, the father of Ralyn Thalas, was a worshiper of Velulaei, and especially venerated Markaur, the Master of Midnight. Valthar created a monastic order, which some called a cult, dedicated to the worship of Markaur. Due to his father's particularly strong faith, Ralyn grew up in a monastery his father had built himself and was in the presence of many monks his father had trained. Ralyn began his training for initiation into the monastic order when he was a boy, sharpening his mind and body, receiving rigorous training in both the liturgy and the martial arts, becoming particularly proficient with the blade. Despite Ralyn's efforts to please his father, he would never complete his training. One night, a year before his training was to be completed, a powerful storm ravaged the monastery in which a lightning strike set the building ablaze. Many of the monks abandoned their home, believing the storm to be an act of divine intervention, and denounced their faith. Ralyn and his father Valthar were seperated in the storm due to the heavy rain and thick smoke from the burning monastery, but Ralyn was able to find shelter in a nearby cave and waited until the storm passed so that he may look for his father. Since that night the monastery was destroyed, Ralyn has been searching for his father or any of the former monks that could possibly give him guidance and aid him in his journey. After 180 years since that night, Ralyn still dons the robes of his father's monastic order in the hopes that one day, someone may recognize his attire and come forward with information that can put his mind to rest. Although Ralyn searches for his father, he still must try and survive on his own and performs odd jobs if that means he will get payed a few minas to purchase a meal or supplies that are needed. Lately, Ralyn has been wandering around the Sanctuary of The Cloud Temple hoping the monks there may be able to aid him in his search. What are your Character's ambitions?: Ultimately, Ralyn hopes to be reunited with his lost father, but as an Elf he has had plenty of time to think and realizes that this reunion may never come to fruition. Because of this, Ralyn has also realized that he has other ambitions. He hopes to one day restore his father's monastic order if it is possible, or at least keep the traditions alive by passing what little knowledge he has on to another. Ralyn has also thought of taking different paths altogether, but is unsure of exactly what he may do. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Ralyn Thalas' favorite tool is the sword. Years of training with the weapon has made him very skilled with the sword. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Ralyn is skilled in the martial arts, being trained by his father and the other monks before he was separated from them. Ralyn is also very patient, as well as studious. He is always eager to learn, and will accept nearly any tutelage that is offered to him. He is quick to help others, but he knows if somebody is trying to take advantage of him, and he won't stand for that. Also, given the circumstances of his separation from his father, he is not overly fond of thunderstorms. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? "Hail, friends!" Ralyn says loudly to the two large men, hoping others may hear his voice and come to investigate. As Ralyn walks closer, he motions towards the Halfling continuing to speak loudly to the men. "What are you bothering this man for? He is a poor traveler and has nothing to call his own. He is without minas, can't you see?" Feigning an observation of the road, Ralyn looks to see if any other travelers are nearby by looking past the two men and then back in the direction he came from, waving his hand towards the men and then back behind him as he looks. "You waste your time on these roads, only the diseased travel through here to Cloud Temple seeking aid from the monks there. I certainly hope you wouldn't be trying to rob a diseased man of the clothes on his back, would you?" Seeing that there are no travelers on the road, Ralyn casually places his hand on the hilt of his sword as he speaks, trying his best to keep the men from noticing that he is preparing for battle should they decide that he may have something of greater value on his person than the Halfling. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Ralyn looks the merchant over, noticing a little dirt on the sleeves of the man, as well as on his knees. It appears that the man behind the stall had been in a little trouble recently due to some tears in his pants and the dirt that was on his clothes. A small bump from a passerby accidentally walking into Ralyn brings him back to focus. "Hello, sir, I was wondering if you might be able to tell me where the closest inn may be? I am here for business." Not wanting to reveal to the man the nature of his stay, Ralyn planned to keep his responses as vague as possible...He could tell that somewhere within that crowd, there were eyes on him, and ears listening. Ralyn was being watched, and it was probably by whomever roughed up the merchant that stood before him. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: While appearing to stare blankly at the contents of the chest, Ralyn was having a violent inward battle. Here before him were treasures that he knew would fetch a very fine price if he were to take them from the chest and sell them in the next town he came across. On the other hand, these were left behind in the chest for a reason. Perhaps this hut is not abandoned, but was hastily built and has the appearance of an abandoned hut to deter anyone who may desire to commit the crime of theft? Ralyn was unsure of what to do, for he needs the minas that these items would surely give him, yet he swore decades ago that he would not take what is not his if he could survive without the item. Releasing a heavy sigh, Ralyn closed the chest and walked out of the hut. Perhaps the contents of the chest will help somebody some day, but they would not help him today. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Making his way quickly through the forest, Ralyn sees tents through the trees and can hear voices and music. Weak from hunger, he stumbles over fallen branches and roots from the many trees surrounding him, constantly looking over his shoulder as he hastily heads towards the camp. Snapping twigs and the howling of wolves can be heard as Ralyn stumbles into the camp and is greeted by one of the traders. Ralyn takes a breath and speaks to the traders in a voice raspy and low from dehydration. "Hail...I am Ralyn Thalas...I have been hunted by wolves for days and I am in need of food, and water...Would your group here be able to spare some provisions for a starving traveler?" As Ralyn is speaking, the howling of the wolves grows closer, causing an aura of unease to wash over the camp. Looking behind him and then back to the woman that had greeted him, he falls to one knee and extends a hand, looking at the woman with desperate, hungry eyes. "Please..." is all he is able to whisper to the woman before he falls to the ground, unconscious. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Hearing the news that the town guard is requesting support from any and all who are willing to assist them in taking care of some bandits that are occupying the road outside of town, and that the assistance will be rewarded, Ralyn decides that he could probably use whatever reward is given to him. His childhood training with the sword has made him quite proficient with the weapon, and he is certain he could be of good use to the guards if they allow him to help. Ralyn gathers his things from the inn he had been staying at for the past couple of days and pays the innkeeper for his hospitality and for a loaf of bread for breakfast. As he makes his way to the recruiting station the guards had set up, he fastens his scabbard, double checking that it is securely fastened so he will not lose his sword in the battle that is to come. Ralyn stops about 30 feet from the town guards and takes a bite out of the loaf of bread he had purchased. Surely he would need his strength before he charges into battle, and so he finishes his loaf of bread. After drinking some water he had in his canteen, Ralyn starts walking towards the guard again, ready for the battle that lay ahead.
