    Yak squints his eyes at the halfing island as the orcish ship approaches, sticking his hand in the bucket of bird poop that he has brought with him. Yak takes the fresh poop from the bucket, smearing a fresh layer of it on his face. He looks down to his cub Nak before speaking "Diz wyl bi ah 'ozh klomp cub."

    The Dwarven Legion

    Lord Marshal

    The leaders of the Longbeards. These honorable dwarves have shown their loyalty many times to the Lord Marshal, he is to be trusted with leading the Legion into battle while the Lord is away. These dwarves run the operations and organization of the Legion. The King of the Dwarves picks this dwarf.

    Captain

    The leaders of their divisions, these dwarves are a hardy breed. They are picked to be strong, and answer only to the Lord Marshal, or the King himself. Each captain is put in charge of a branch of the military, from the Mountaineers, to the Infantry. There is only one captain per branch of military. This position is allowed to appoint officers within their military branch. This rank is only bestowed upon by the Lord Marshal or the King.

    Longbeard

    This dwarf has proved his honor in and out of combat many times. He knows what it is to live by the code of "Honor for the nation, glory from war, and prosperity for the dwarves". These Dwarves are to oversee the squads and make sure everything runs smoothly.

    Squads

    The Mountaineers

    The units are given a uniform, along with either a bow and a quiver of arrows, or a melee weapon of their choice. This part of the military requires an application, and a decent amount of military experience, or with the dwarves in general.

    The protectors of the lands of dwarves, these lads and lasses alike scout the borders of dwarven kingdoms. They are a special unit, chosen from the original infantry of the Legion. Their purpose is to solely protect the borders of the dwarven ranges, and scout for any impending threats. The mountaineers are currently led by Raglin Edgehand.

    The Infantry

    The infantry is the basic squad of the military. The Legion is mostly consisted of the Infantry, due to the fact that it is the general and basic squad. These soldiers are trained for hand-to-hand combat specifically. This squad is lead by the Longbeards.

    Units within the Infantry are given minor supplies, and are always equipped before a battle. The Karik guards are included into the Infantry, and share training with the Infantry units.
