Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: JustinDaniels How old are you?: I am 18 years old. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I am in the USA, at the -5:00 Time Zone. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: English is, not only my most skilled language, but the ONLY language I know. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Even though most of my time is spent on the computer, I am always looking to help those in need around the area. More so, I even help others on the computer, as well! Let's just say, I love to help people, even through tough times, and trust me, with the economy like this in the USA, there WILL be people who need my help. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Depending on the latency, I hope to be on every day, for AT LEAST an hour, or more, depending on the situations that go through my life, yet if I miss a day, I wouldn't mind adding that missed day's minimum hour on the list. There are a few factors, though, such as me going to my dad's house to help him around the restaurant, holidays to spend with my family, and what-not, and those days I may be unavailable for a full hour, if any time at all. My dad has no internet, so I won't be able to play during the weekends I'm there, but I promise to post my temporary departure within the day that I leave on the forums beforehand. All-in-all, I may even play for days on it's own, if the server meets my expectations (Or, as I call it, my desire to RolePlay with Friends, while making new ones!) What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know a great deal of RolePlaying, due to my life practically being all about finding the BEST of the BEST RolePlaying communities to join, and hopefully settle into. Also, to RolePlay would be to, in my opinion, live the life of your character you play as, EXACTLY as you would in that situation that He/She is in, in a manner that YOU would do in that situation. In other words, act like your character, speak like your character, and take on the Role of your Player (Thus the name, "RolePlay".) Also, if there is any more information I don't know about RolePlaying, I am ALWAYS looking forward to learning more about it! What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have played the World of Warcraft servers, "Prologue WoW", and "Chronicles of Azeroth", while also going through Neverwinter Nights (1 and 2) RP Persistent Worlds, such as Modern Zombie Survival 2 : Outbreak, Arleith, and a few others in Neverwinter Nights 1, and Dalelands, as well as several others, from Neverwinter Nights 2. I have even been on Ultima Online's RP Shards scattered across the internet, but I have forgotten about their names. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: To Meta-Game would be to know OOC Information, and use it IC, such as meeting a total stranger, and addressing him/her by their name, with little to no references of that character. (I believe exceptions might be like asking a King if he/she is So-and-so, but not knowing for a FACT that that IS that person.) In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting, or as most would call it, Power-Gaming, is to emote with an opposing force WITHOUT giving the victim a chance to retaliate, such as : Powergamer : *Bashes Victim's Skull in. Victim : Hmm? But wait, you didn't give me a chance to retaliate! Powergamer : *Says nothing, but keeps bashing Victim's skull. In your own Words, define what Out of Character (OOC) is: OOC, or Out-Of-Character, is general chitter chatter without the need to act IC, or In-Character. This is the way that many RPGs tell you that you CAN be "Yourself" in real life. Though this is MOSTLY used for questions nowadays, it can STILL be a great way to befriend the players of a community. In your own Words, define what In Character (IC) is: IC, or In-Character, would be what YOUR CHARACTER would do in certain situations. That doesn't necessarily mean what YOU would do, but rather, what YOUR CHARACTER would react to, say, do, and look at, in the certain situation. This is what separates YOU from YOUR CHARACTER, as far as talk goes. You haven't heard people use SOME words we say nowadays, and vice-versa. This is meant for the Vice-versa words. What do you expect this server will be like?: As much as I would love it to be perfect, I still don't mind there being a few cons in it, but if anything, I would just LOVE to be in a Role-Playing environment, with the capabilities of not being laughed at, as well as being around people like me, who only wish to Role-Play so that we can do many things we couldn't in real life. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: As mentioned above, I have played on, primarily, 2 WoW servers, both of which were, unfortunately, killed by the lack of players, or so I've heard. I do, however, hear rumors about Prologue returning, but that is YET to be clarified. The NwN2 servers are no longer on my list, because I had to re-install Windows, and that wiped my computer, but I lost the CDs, AS WELL AS the keys, so that is a no-go. I still, however, play NwN1's servers, but very little nowadays, as I'm more into Creativity, rather than "Being forced to do something THEIR way." While some may view RP'ing as the same as that, though, I believe RP'ing would be more like "Doing something OUR way." so that the WHOLE community can get along nicely. Ultima Online, on the other hand, while it IS a great game, OFTEN has VERY FEW, to ZERO people online anymore. I figured it was time to move on... Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read, and promise to abide by the rules, without hesitation, and should I be disobedient, I hereby accept any terms of punishment, whether it be a kick, ban, or perma-ban. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I promise that I will do my best to remain Lawful and Just with the Server, the Rules, the Teamspeak, AS WELL AS the people within the server. How did you hear about us?: I was searching "Google" for a "Minecraft Strict RP Server", and Lord of the Craft just happened to be on the list! Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: This is my first application. In-Character: Character Name: Justin Daniels What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): 21 years ago, Justin Daniels was born. Due to living life in Peasantry, his family was often considered "Lower Class" people, with very little wealth to survive on. With a mother who tended the farm, and a father who was a simple warrior who went out to hunt for food, Justin has learned how to use a Sword, Hoe, and Bow, while his downfall turned out to be crafting the gear he learned how to use. He would be lucky enough to make a decent sword out of wood. At the age of 13, Justin was finally able to venture out past the gates of the village he lived in. While playing tag with some of his friends, he stumbled upon a strange cave, which was pitch black inside. His friend offered him his next allowance if he would go in there, but Justin refused, and even tried to encourage his friend not to even go TOWARDS the cave. Of course, his friend was slightly laughing at him, but agreed, stating, "Yeah, you might be right... we would need a torch to go in there, anyways!" However, as he was speaking, a strange object came hurling out of the cave. Whenever it landed in front of Justin's feet, he froze in place, as the object was a half-eaten man's head! Then, a Giant creature, about the size of the cave, came rampaging through the fields, towards Justin, and his friend, Jacob. Jacob yelled, "RUN!" to Justin, and they both fled as fast as they could. The Giant, on the other hand, was catching up to them at an alarming rate, until it was close enough to smash them with his giant mace... but before it could do so, an arrow came whizzing through the air, and landed inside the Giant's forehead. With the impact, the Giant stopped in place, and began to roar in pain. As Justin looked forward, he noticed a group of adventurers heading towards the Giant, one of which was a Human Swordsman, another was an Elven Archer, a Human Mage, and a Dwarven Warrior. As the Mage began casting fireballs at the Giant, the Archer was drawing many arrows at a time, and constantly shooting the Giant with it, while running in circles, dodging the Giant's every move. Finally, the Swordsman yelled, "Now!" and the Archer ran back, and the Swordsman and Warrior jumped on top of the Giant, the Swordsman on the left leg, and the Warrior on the right shoulder. The Swordsman told the Mage, "Okay, remember what I said!" and the Mage nodded his head, and cast a fireball at the Swordsman's sword, and the fire engulfed the blade, as he cut the Left Leg clean off of the Giant. The Warrior, with all his might, pulled the Giant down with a kick in the back of its head, and while in the air, swung his axe at the Giant's head, and completely decapitated it. During all of the battle, Justin was watching, in amazement, at the Four who killed the Giant. After their triumph, the Swordsman called out, "It's okay, now, boys! The creature is dead!" Justin ran up to them, and thanked them for saving his life, as well as his friends'. The swordsman looked at Justin for a moment, thinking about his childhood, and then asked him, "Hey, boy! How would you like to be an adventurer like us? We can teach you how to kill these creatures as if they were already dead!" Justin smiled, and nodded, stating, "Of course, if that is okay with my family..." and the Swordsman asked, "Where do you live?" Then, Justin pointed towards the small village in the distance. The Swordsman looked at the village, and asked, "A Peasant, eh? Well, tell you what... how about we visit your family, and speak to them about you becoming an adventurer? If there's anyone able to persuade a Peasant, it would be with the promise of riches!" he smiled, and gave Justin a wink. Justin returned the smile, and said, "Yes, sir!" After the Party met up with Justin's family, they managed to persuade his family with the promise that, not only will Justin return to them safely, but he will also return to them with riches beyond they could possibly make at the time. Finally, at Justin's 21st birthday, he was capable of defending himself, and left his homeland in search of fame and fortune, as well as become the Adventurer that he has dreamed of becoming. Wherever fate takes him, only time may tell... What are your Character's ambitions?: His ambitions are to become rich, famous, as well as find adventure in life. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): During his past, while being full of combat and farming practice, he found himself quite interested in Swords the most. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Sword Combat. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ): Other Information about your Character: During his birthdays spend with the Party of Heroes, he was given an old cloak by the Mage, a sturdy pair of boots by the Archer, the tunic of the Swordsman, and the Shoulder Guards of the Warrior. He will usually be seen wearing them around. Open-Response-Questions Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? *Seeing the halfling being threatened by two armed warriors, Justin quickly draws his sword, and runs towards the two warriors.* "Hey! What are you two doing to that halfling?!" Justin yelled. The two warriors stop looking at the Halfling, and, with a smirk, respond to him, "What's it to ya'? You lookin' to get yerself killed?" Justin walks slowly towards the Halfling, and helps him to his feet, only to be distracted by one of the warriors. "Help 'im up, and you die!" The warrior said. Justin merely smiles, and helps the Halfling to his feet. Then, the warrior glares at Justin, and yells, "Well, then! Guess I'll have your head!" Then, the warrior swings his sword after Justin, only to have it deflected by Justin's sword, and without hesitation, Justin quickly slices at the warrior's head, and successfully cuts it clean off, leaving the other warrior baffled in fear, leaving Justin the advantage to disarm him, by merely knocking the blade out of his hand with his own blade. Then, he points his sword at the warrior's neck, and tells him, "Now, then... I want you to go back to the hole you crawled out of, and NEVER return, until you clean up your act!" The warrior gulps and nods, then stumbles away from the scene. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? *Looking at the many different goods the merchant is offering, Justin comes across a sword made of Iron. Then, Justin looks into his Pouch, and counts his Golden Coins he has. While looking at the gold, he asks the trader,* "How much is this Iron Sword, good sir?" Then, the merchant smiled, and chuckled, "Well, with th' finest of the finest Iron in Alras, this sword could b'yours, for just the simple price of 10 Gold Pieces!" Hearing the price, Justin realizes that he only has 8 Gold Pieces. Really needing the sword, he then mentions to the trader, "Hey, are you in need of food?" The merchant smiles, and nods, then says "How much ye lookin' to offer?" Then, Justin pulled out of his satchel 4 pieces of Cooked Porkchops, and the 8 coins that he had in his Pouch. Looking at the wares, the merchant smiles, and says, "M'friend, ye 'ave just earned ye'self a new sword! Thank ye' kindly, and do come again!" With a kind "Farewell", Justin continues his journey onward. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: *During a trip in the wilds, Justin stumbles across a small hut, which would appear to be completely void of life. Looking onward, he notices a chest with, what would appear to be, a few iron bars, and a golden sword.* "Hmm... I don't like the looks of that place." Justin stated, quietly. "I'd best find a group of fellow Adventurers before even TRYING to enter that place!" With that, Justin marks the location on his map, and carries on with his journey. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? *After a few days spent in the wilderness, lost, alone, and starved, Justin notices a Small Trading Camp within the forest. He slowly stumbles into the camp, just to be greeted by the locals. While they start talking to him, Justin passes out, due to hunger, and at once, they rush him into the leader of the camp. They notice, right away, that he hasn't eaten for days, and they quickly bring with them a pale of water, and at once, they begin to send it rushing through his throat. Then, the life slowly comes back to him, as they bring him a few pieces of food from a recent hunt. Justin slowly says, "Thank you... all of you..." to them, as he eats, then rests up. Then, the next day, he is given directions to his destination, and, after waving good-bye to the camp, marks the location of the camp on his map, in case he ever gets lost again.* You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: *Listening to the locals of the town he is in, Justin catches word that a group of bandits have occupied the road just outside the gates. Without hesitation, he looks around, and notices a group of guards forming into groups, preparing to head outside to the bandits. As Justin looks at a wanted poster, he notices a great reward for those who are willing to join in the raid against the bandits. Without further delay, Justin rushes to the leader of a group, and offers his services. As they march out, Justin prepares himself for his first taste in real battle! Anything else you would like to say?: As long as there is a great deal of RolePlaying on this server, I'd say that about covers it! If I have forgotten about any details, please, by all means, let me know, as I would surely enjoy being a member of this community!
