Upon reading the several inscribed notes, Cyrus would mumble "I should wonder what gave the right for legal martial law at that time. Do not we have measures, such as a Maheral to take temporary office, should such situations arise? I assume that Phaedrus' ruling was illegal. The result was catastrophic, as even with military power he could not protect the High Elven peoples from slaughter lest they recant their ideals and live among the Mali'ame. Even with good intentions, his ruling failed to protect people of the state he took over. It would seem that the Elven blessing of peace is gone. Perhaps it was something told to young Elven children to make them behave..."

When Cyrus hears the news, a look of utter confusion crosses over his face. He seems convinced that this was a kind gesture. "I suppose it may be just as well to pursue peace agreements with the Bortu, that they would find it in their greedy hearts to give us so much gold. I doubt they understand our customs, so it must seem they wish to share their wealth. A grand alliance we yet may be..."

"I should like to assist in gathering resources," says Cyrus, "should I, of course, be informed where these resources may be gathered and I find a way to acquire the proper equipment to harvest them. Perhaps there is a stockpile of tools made for resource collection?"

"I believe that this man does well. 'The first step to fame is making known your name' or something like that." Cyrus mumbles.

Cyrus adds a phrase among the others that are shouted in suggestion "Ah, how will titles be decided? A test? A council? How can we guarantee that these titles will not create the class distinction as are formed in lower societies?"

Roleplay is a lot like acting, where you pretend to be a character of your design. In minecraft we type out the dialogue and actions of said character and interact with others in a fun and dynamic way. The best way to learn how things work is to simply participate in it! I myself was completely new when I started and learned much just by playing.

So, my advice is to learn by playing. I wish you luck in learning :D

"Well" mumbles Cyrus to himself "I wouldn't encourage mixing among elven blood either if not for cultural reasons... but at least this government has some sense."

"Your record seems quite unsatisfactory." Cyrus mumbles to the scroll on the gate.

Cyrus Taeleh'aeth receives the news fairly late, as always. Upon hearing, his hands shake slightly. His lips form many silent words, but only one utterance from his throat is audible "Dead..."

Cyrus, being the stranger that Syrin shouts at, furrows his eyebrows at the sudden outburst. "Everyone's gone mad these days!" he mutters to himself.

Current day:

- Magic is free to use as you wish (within reason- no PGing your way to master wizard)

- Villainy is free to use as long as your character has proper motivation

- The baddies behind the wall were techincally defeated, but we went away anyhow.

- We're in Athera now if you haven't heard

- Haelun'or absorbed almost all factions of elves and is the new elven capital

- Oren is the biggest, baddest guy around, allied with Haelun'or

- New plugins still being developed for "Nexus" or whatever

- PvP is combat the style, unless a unanimous consensus is reached to RP or roll-fight

- You cannot force-take-over a territory anymore. You have to claim it via driving all residents of a city away or into inactivity

Cyrus, listening to the speech and argument quietly for some time finally speaks up.

"It would seem that this Mali'ame who desires the position of Sohaer is the best choice of any mali'ame that I have seen. He knows the values that our state seeks to uphold, he speaks with soft tongue, but yet is not mali'aheral."

Cyrus pauses for a moment, breathing in again.

"For years we have deemed other peoples as lesser, because they simply could not comprehend nor efficiently complete our sacred ideal of progress. As painful as it may seem... we now know that at least one mali'ame has progressed upon his own volition to have the ability to uphold this value like any average mali'aheral. It is thus proven that mali'ame are capable of ascension in some regard and perhaps... for the sake of progress... we should consider Phaedrus for office of Sohaer in the event of no better candidate."

"Please, consider the reason why all of this- for lack of a better term- racism came to be. It was justified in the past- but are we so mentally crystallized that we now follow our old ways like religious zealots? Let it not be so! Let us consider all outcomes and options before coming to judgement. Let not predisposition gum up progress."

"There is much more that I can say... but I'll stop here for now." Cyrus finishes, awaiting either welcome responses or the wrath of those around him.

Cyrus frowns while reading the letter after the unpleasant experience of coughing it up... but nonetheless decides that he should at least drop by.

Cyrus brandishes his old, rusty axe out in the woods.

"Time for you to die, tree!"

The tree is paralyzed in terror.

Cyrus, curious as any would get out, is the first to read the letter and breaks the seal eagerly. A small frown appears upon his face as his eyes scan across the parchment and an expression of discontent marks his face as he finishes the letter. He looks about quickly to see if anyone's watching and quickly reseals the letter and sticks it back where it was. Leaving the letter to be alone, he mumbles to himself "A most unfortunate discovery, I must say. I certainly hope he would be of full mali'ame blood, lest he be slain for mixed blood. I should hate to see such a horrific turn of events. Must have been quite surprising for him, indeed."

Cyrus mumbles to himself as he sees posters stuck to trees everywhere "My God, the druids would have a fit seeing all of this paper littering the area."

"Hullo, what's this?" he says as he approaches one poster. "Oh my, propaganda!" he exclaims. Quickly he rifles about his bag for some bit of charcoal and amends the poster.

It now reads "Malinorian way of life- Giving no care for another elf, only despite your own desire. Haelun'or way of life- Giving no care for another elf, but only if he's a good chap your own desire. We are all children of Malin, even the high elves. It is time a good thing that we most of us act like a family. It would be much better if we all did."
